Črnomerec (Croatian pronunciation: [t͡ʃr̩noˈmeret͡s]) is one of the city districts of Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the western part of the city and has nearly forty thousand inhabitants.

The Presidential Palace (Croatian: Predsjednički dvori), also referred to by the metonym Pantovčak, is the official workplace of the president of Croatia since late 1991, situated in Pantovčak, Zagreb. However, the president does not reside in the building and it is instead used to house the Office of the President, while the president continues to reside in his or her private residence during the duration of their term of office. Even so, welcoming ceremonies for visiting foreign dignitaries, state functions commemorating national holidays, and consultations with leaders of parliamentary parties during post-election government formation processes, among others, are all usually held at the palace. Furthermore, it has become somewhat customary for the outgoing president and the president-elect to hold a bilateral meeting and a joint press conference in the palace on the former's last day in office, before his or her final departure from the palace grounds and the beginning of the latter's term of office at midnight. The structure covers 3,700 square metres (40,000 square feet) and in the 2009 government budget, it was allocated 54 million kuna (c. 7.3 million euro). As of May 2008, the office employed 170 staff with the maximum staffing level set at 191 by the Regulation on Internal Organisation of the Office of the President of Croatia.

The Kantakuzina Katarina Branković Serbian Orthodox Secondary School (Serbo-Croatian: Srpska pravoslavna opća gimnazija Kantakuzina Katarina Branković, Српска православна општа гимназија Кантакузина Катарина Бранковић), abbreviated as SPOG, is a coeducational gymnasium (e.g. preparatory high school or grammar school) of the Metropolitanate of Zagreb and Ljubljana located in Zagreb, Croatia. It is the only non-seminary high school of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the former Yugoslavia.The school was founded in 2005, continuing a 200-years old tradition of Orthodox minority education in the city. Classes are conducted in Serbian and Croatian language. The four-year course of study includes Serbian, Croatian, English, German, Latin, Church Slavonic, history, geography, politics, economics, music, art history, the Orthodox religion, sociology, psychology, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, physical education, ecology, informatics and philosophy. All courses are required. Education at SPOG is free; The Serbian Orthodox Church in Croatia covers costs for all admitted students (disputed). The student body hails from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Moldova; the school is open to anyone who meets the enrollment criteria, regardless of background, religion or nationality. The school is accredited by the Croatian Ministry of Education, and is recognized by other countries in the region. SPOG graduates are studying in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, Turkey and Russia. The first graduating class was commended at the monastery of the Parascheva of the Balkans in Zagreb on 24 June 2009.

Pantovčak (pronounced [pantɔʋˈtʃaːk]) is a neighborhood in Zagreb, Croatia. Its formal location is the Gornji Grad - Medveščak city district. The Pantovčak street runs from the Britanski trg (British Square) near Ilica towards Medvednica, ending at Šestinski vijenac (Šestine roundabout). The neighbourhood is officially referred to as "Dr. Stjepan Radić" and it has a population of 4,957 (2011).Pantovčak is best known as the location of the Croatian Presidential Palace and the adjacent park, located at Pantovčak 241. In Croatian, "Pantovčak" is often used as a metonym for the office of the President of Croatia.

Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua (Croatian: Bazilika svetog Antuna Padovanskog) is a minor basilica, sanctuary, Catholic parish church and monastery of the Friars Conventuals in Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the Sveti Duh ('Holy Spirit') neighbourhood of the Črnomerec district.

Medvedgrad (pronounced [mědʋedɡraːd]; Croatian for bear-fort; Hungarian: Medvevár) is a medieval fortified town located on the south slopes of Medvednica mountain, approximately halfway from the Croatian capital Zagreb to the mountain top Sljeme. For defensive purposes it was built on a hill, Mali Plazur, that is a spur of the main ridge of the mountain that overlooks the city. On a clear day the castle can be seen from far away, especially the high main tower. Below the main tower of the castle is Oltar Domovine (Altar of the homeland) which is dedicated to Croatian soldiers killed in the Croatian War of Independence.

Catholic University of Croatia (Croatian: Hrvatsko katoličko sveučilište; Latin: Universitas Studiorum Catholica Croatica) is a private university of the Catholic Church located in Zagreb, Croatia.

Ilica is one of the longest streets in Zagreb, Croatia. The busy street is home to many shops and cultural sites and spans through most of the northwestern part of the city, from the Ban Jelačić Square in the city centre westward to the Vrapče district. The street is 5.6 km (3.5 mi) long, making it the third longest street in the city.The name was first recorded in 1431, while the street itself retained its present shape at the end of the 18th century. In the 14th century, the street was known under the name Lončarska ves (archaic Croatian for "Potters' village", also Vicus lutifigulorum in Latin).

The teaching hospital Sisters of Charity (Croatian: Klinički bolnički centar Sestre milosrdnice) in Zagreb, Croatia, is one of the oldest hospitals in southern Europe.

Villa Kallina is a historic country house in Zagreb, Croatia built by Vjekoslav Bastl as the family residence for the wealthy industrialist Josip Kallina's son Gustav.The Villa was constructed between 1906 and 1907 at Jandrićeva street in the area of Ksaver on what was then the outskirts of Zagreb, now in the Gornji Grad–Medveščak city district. Villa Kallina is considered a notable achievement of Croatian architecture in its own right, and the project was featured at the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Half a Century of Croatian Art (Pola stoljeća hrvatske umjetnosti) exhibition held in 1938 at the Meštrović Pavilion.The building is listed in the Croatian Ministry of Culture's Protected Cultural Heritage Registry (Registar zaštićenih kulturnih dobara) since September 2005.Villa Kallina should not be confused with Kallina House, built by the same architect in another part of Zagreb.

Exit Theatre (Croatian: Teatar Exit), sometimes stylized as EXIT, is an independent theatre in Zagreb, Croatia whose productions are mainly oriented towards adults. The theatre has won hundreds of awards and frequently performs abroad. In 2009, it was declared as one of top Croatian brands.

Lauba is a private-owned contemporary art gallery in the Črnomerec district of Zagreb, Croatia. It houses exhibits from the Lauba collection, a large private collection of works by modern and postmodern Croatian artists. The venue is also used for exhibitions of foreign contemporary artists and for hosting various arts-related events.
