Estádio Engenheiro Vidal Pinheiro was a multi-use stadium in Porto, Portugal. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of S.C. Salgueiros. The stadium was able to hold 11,000 people. It was demolished in 2006 to make way to a subway station for Metro do Porto.

The Estádio das Antas (officially Estádio do Futebol Clube do Porto) was the third (and longest occupied) stadium of the Portuguese football side FC Porto. It was in use from 1952 to 2004, replacing the earlier Campo da Constituição, 1.6km (1 mile) to the west, and later replaced by the Estádio do Dragão, a block southeast away. As well as the stadium, it had an indoor arena and three training grounds. The club's offices were also split between the inside of the stadium and the Torre das Antas, built in front of the stadium during the 1990s. It was demolished in 2004, although one floodlight still remains, and the majority of the site is not yet redeveloped.

Pólo Universitário is an underground light rail station on line D of the Porto Metro system in Porto, Portugal. It is situated under Rua Alfredo Allen on the University of Porto campus, from which it takes its name. Immediately to the north of Pólo Universitário station, the line emerges from its tunnel and continues at street level for the remainder of its route. The central tunnelled section of line D, including Pólo Universitário station, opened on 17 September 2005, with trains initially running from Câmara de Gaia, to the south. Pólo Universitário was the northern terminus until 31 March 2006, when the line was extended to Hospital de São João. The line has since been extended from Câmara de Gaia to Vila d’Este. The station is preceded by Salgueiros and followed by IPO stations. On weekdays, trains run every five to six minutes, declining to every 10 minutes on weekends and evenings. The station platforms are underground, and there are two through tracks, served by a single central island platform.

The Estádio do Dragão (Portuguese pronunciation: [(ɨ)ˈʃtaðju ðu ðɾɐˈɣɐ̃w]; English: Dragon Stadium) is an all-seater football stadium in Porto, Portugal, and the home ground of FC Porto since 2003. It has a seating capacity of 50,033, making it the third largest football stadium in Portugal. Designed by Portuguese architect Manuel Salgado, the stadium was constructed to replace Porto's former ground, the Estádio das Antas, along with becoming one of the host venues for the UEFA Euro 2004 final tournament. The inauguration took place on 16 November 2003 with a friendly match against Barcelona, setting an attendance record of 52,000 spectators.A UEFA category four stadium, it has held several international club and national team competition matches, including the 2019 UEFA Nations League Final and 2021 UEFA Champions League Final.

The Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) is a research & development institute located on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (Portugal). INESC TEC is a private non-profit association, recognised as a Public Interest Institution and has been an Associate Laboratory since 2002. The Dragão Arena (formerly named Dragão Caixa for sponsorship reasons) is an indoor arena located in Porto, Portugal, that houses the basketball, handball and roller hockey teams of FC Porto. It was inaugurated on 23 April 2009 and has a capacity of 2,179 spectators. The construction project was done in partnership with Portuguese state-owned bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos, which secured the naming rights for a period of 10 years.The arena was designed by Manuel Salgado, the architect of the Estádio do Dragão. It was projected to house the club's basketball, handball and roller hockey teams under the same roof for the first time since 2001, when the previous ground – Pavilhão Americo de Sá – was demolished ahead of the stadium construction works.

Estádio do Dragão, known during its planning stage as Antas, is a light rail station on the Porto Metro system in Porto, Portugal. The station is underground, adjacent to the Estádio do Dragão football stadium, from which it takes its name. It was opened in 2004, in time for that year's European Football Championship, for which the stadium hosted games. The station is a through station on line F, and acts as the eastern terminus for trains on lines A, B and E. Lines A, B, E and F run as one line within the metropolitan area to the west of Estádio do Dragão, and the next station in that direction is Campanhã. To the east on line F, the next station is Contumil. Estádio do Dragão station station is located underground, between the stadium and the main line railway tracks north out of Campanhã railway station. It has three through tracks served by two island platforms. Access is by lift or stairs via a higher level concourse. The new station was opened on 5 June 2004 as the terminus of an extension of the initial line from its previous terminus at Trindade. The extension was initially served by lines A and B, with line C starting on 30 July 2005, line E on 27 May 2006, and line F on 2 January 2011. Line C ceased to serve the station on 6 September 2010, when its eastern terminus was moved to Campanhã.

The University Hospital of São João (in Portuguese Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João, abbreviated CHUSJ), or simply São João Hospital, is the biggest hospital in Northern Portugal and one of the biggest in Portugal. The hospital is named after John the Baptist, São João in Portuguese and has been operating since 1959. Its main facilities are located in Paranhos, Porto, where it hosts a medical school, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. Additionally, it manages a secondary hub in Valongo. The hospital provides direct medical care to the parishes of Bonfim, Paranhos, Campanhã e Aldoar, within the municipality of Porto, as well as to the neighbouring municipalities of Maia and Valongo. It also serves as a referral centre for the districts of Porto (except for Baião, Amarante and Marco de Canaveses), Braga and Viana do Castelo. Through the National Hospital Referral Network (Redes de Referenciação Hospitalar), it acts as a referral hospital for a broader geographic area of around 3.5 million people, particularly in highly specialised medical fields. It has 1,100 beds and over 6,000 employees, including approximately 1,500 physicians and 2,300 nurses. The University Hospital of Sâo João accounts for 20% of public hospital care in northern Portugal and in a year it performs approximately 40,000 surgeries, 750,000 consultations, 127,000 treatment sessions and handles 250,000 emergencies.

Polytechnic of Porto - School of Engineering (ISEP) is a public polytechnic higher learning and research engineering institute, located in the city of Porto, Portugal. ISEP is divided in 8 departments, with an emphasis on applied science and technology. ISEP was founded by the minister Fontes Pereira de Melo in 1852 as Escola Industrial do Porto (Porto School of Industry) to support the industrialization of Portugal, and some time later upgraded to Instituto Industrial do Porto (Porto Institute of Industry). Since 1989, was grouped with other schools in the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Its motto is Saber Fazer — "Know-how". Today, ISEP is one of the biggest and best known engineering schools in Portugal, with well over 6000 students and 500 faculty members. It has research facilities for real-time systems, artificial intelligence, knowledge based systems, and decision support systems, some of them internationally recognized as leading R&D centers (e.g. GECAD, CISTER, LSA) as accredited by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia of the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
