Sandhurst is an official bounded locality in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 37 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Frankston local government area. Sandhurst recorded a population of 5,211 at the 2021 census.Prior to 15 December 1994, the area now Sandhurst was part of the City of Cranbourne (formerly the Shire of Cranbourne until April 1994), and shares its postcode 3977 with Skye, Devon Meadows and Cranbourne. Sandhurst is an estate located next to Carrum Downs and Skye. The main primary schools children attend in Sandhurst are St Joachims, Banyan Fields and Rowelen Park, and Flinders Christian Community College, all in Carrum Downs. The main secondary schools children attend in Sandhurst are Carrum Downs Secondary College and John Paul College in Frankston.

Lyndhurst is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 36 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Casey and Greater Dandenong local government areas. Lyndhurst recorded a population of 8,926 at the 2021 census.Lyndhurst Post Office opened on 1 January 1867 and closed in 1976.After the Bracks government's decisions to abandon plans for a toxic waste dump near Mildura, the continued use of the existing Lyndhurst facility was part of the replacement plan.The Casey side of Lyndhurst lies inside the Urban Growth Boundary, and the development phase is almost complete. The Greater Dandenong side (to the west of the Western Port Highway) is outside the Urban Growth Boundary and is semi rural, and forms part of the South Eastern green wedge. In 2009 the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development purchased a 3.5-hectare site within Marriott Waters and earmarked the site for Lyndhurst Primary School. The Prep to Year 6 primary school opened in 2011 and was built under the Partnerships Victoria in Schools Model which has seen the school built and maintained through public–private partnership arrangements between the Victorian state government and Axiom Education.Lyndhurst railway station was located in the suburb on the Cranbourne line, but did not see any passenger traffic. Freight traffic to the cement facility ended in 2009. Passenger rail in the area is now serviced by Lynbrook or Merinda Park stations.

Lynbrook is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 36 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Casey local government area. Lynbrook recorded a population of 9,121 at the 2021 census.Lynbrook is positioned on the South Gippsland Highway, slightly north-west of Cranbourne, and just south of the residential suburb of Hampton Park. Lynbrook is bounded by Dandenong Hastings Road in the west, the South Gippsland Freeway in the north, by a line north of Merinda Park railway station in the east, and the railway line in the south.The suburb was developed by VicUrban, starting in 1994. A special feature of the VicUrban development is the stormwater catchment which flows into the lake and wetlands where it is purified before being released into Dandenong Creek and into Port Phillip Bay. Prior to 1994, the area now occupied by Lynbrook was part of Lyndhurst. There are two primary schools, one State and one Catholic. There is a central shopping centre with Coles and a range of strip shops with take away food and eateries, a gym, medical centre, pharmacy, news agency, butcher, bakery, and hair and beauty. There is also a Community Center, child care centres, vet, kindergarten and maternal child health nurse. Lynbrook has a local resident's group, the Lynbrook Residents Association (LRA), who advocate to Local, State and Federal Government on behalf of residents with local issues. They also host a number of Community Events to bring the community together to create a sense of belonging and community in Lynbrook.
