Carrum Downs Secondary College is a high school located in the Melbourne suburb of Carrum Downs in Victoria, Australia. Established in 2004, Carrum Downs Secondary has an enrolment of approximately 929 students. Carrum Downs Secondary College has a strong relationship with Hirakata High School in Osaka, Japan. Every year, students are given the opportunity to visit the partner school to gain cross-cultural experience.

However, following statewide local government reform, the suburb was moved to be part of a new, larger City of Frankston.

The Eastern Treatment Plant is an 1,100 hectares (4.2 square miles) sewage treatment plant, located in the suburb of Bangholme in Victoria, Australia, 31 kilometres (19 miles) southeast of Melbourne's central business district. The plant was built in 1975 and is owned by Melbourne Water. Following treatment, some water is used as recycled water in the local area. South East Water is a major supplier of recycled water from the Eastern Treatment Plant. The rest is pumped through 56 kilometres (35 miles) of pipeline to discharge into Bass Strait at Boags Rocks on the Mornington Peninsula.

Lynbrook railway station is located on the Cranbourne line in Victoria, Australia, serving the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of the same name and the suburb of Lyndhurst. The station opened on the 22nd of April 2012.

The Dandenong Creek (Aboriginal Bunwurrung: Narra Narrawong or Dandinnong) is an urban creek of the Port Phillip catchment, located in the eastern and south-eastern Greater Melbourne region of the Australian east coast state of Victoria. The creek descends approximately 550 metres (1,800 ft) over its course of 53 kilometres (33 mi) before joining the Eumemmerring Creek to form the Patterson River (of which it can be considered the de facto main stem) and eventually draining into the Beaumaris Bay. The first European to see the creek near its source was in 1839 and is believed to be Daniel Bunce, a botanist.

Lyndhurst is a former railway station on the South Gippsland (now Cranbourne) line. In 1979, it had a single platform on the east side of the track, and a loop siding.The station was served by passenger trains to Leongatha and Yarram until their withdrawal in June 1981, and then by Dandenong to Lang Lang railmotors until their withdrawal in October 1981. Although passenger trains between Melbourne and Leongatha were restored between 1984 and 1993, Lyndhurst station was not re-opened. The platform has been demolished. In the 1969 Melbourne Transportation Plan, a new passenger line was proposed linking Frankston and Lyndhurst. Cement traffic from Waurn Ponds near Geelong, to a siding serving a concrete batching plant operated by Boral, ended in 2009, after Pacific National increased the costs charged to Blue Circle Southern. The siding and the silo were removed in 2021 to make way for the duplication of the Cranbourne line.

Lyndhurst recorded a population of 8,926 at the 2021 census.Lyndhurst Post Office opened on 1 January 1867 and closed in 1976.After the Bracks government's decisions to abandon plans for a toxic waste dump near Mildura, the continued use of the existing Lyndhurst facility was part of the replacement plan.The Casey side of Lyndhurst lies inside the Urban Growth Boundary, and the development phase is almost complete. The Greater Dandenong side (to the west of the Western Port Highway) is outside the Urban Growth Boundary and is semi rural, and forms part of the South Eastern green wedge. In 2009 the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development purchased a 3.5-hectare site within Marriott Waters and earmarked the site for Lyndhurst Primary School. The Prep to Year 6 primary school opened in 2011 and was built under the Partnerships Victoria in Schools Model which has seen the school built and maintained through public–private partnership arrangements between the Victorian state government and Axiom Education.Lyndhurst railway station was located in the suburb on the Cranbourne line, but did not see any passenger traffic. Freight traffic to the cement facility ended in 2009. Passenger rail in the area is now serviced by Lynbrook or Merinda Park stations.

Dandenong South is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 31 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Greater Dandenong local government area. Dandenong South recorded a population of 125 at the 2021 census.Dandenong South is a primarily industrialised suburb that borders Hallam and the City of Casey region. The suburb contains the closed General Motors railway station. Dandenong South is home to A Company of the Australian Army Reserve unit, 5th/6th Battalion, Royal Victoria Regiment and DefendTex.

Bangholme is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 31 km (19 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Greater Dandenong local government area. Bangholme recorded a population of 749 at the 2021 census.Located adjacent to the urban area, the area is semi-rural and is part of Melbourne's South East Green Wedge, with a significant part of the land used by the Melbourne Water Eastern Sewage Treatment Plant, and the remainder being mostly small land holdings, with some used for horse acreage. The EastLink tollway passes through the area. Willow Lodge Village, a mobile home development, is located on Frankston-Dandenong Road.

Lynbrook is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 36 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Casey local government area. Lynbrook recorded a population of 9,121 at the 2021 census.Lynbrook is positioned on the South Gippsland Highway, slightly north-west of Cranbourne, and just south of the residential suburb of Hampton Park. Lynbrook is bounded by Dandenong Hastings Road in the west, the South Gippsland Freeway in the north, by a line north of Merinda Park railway station in the east, and the railway line in the south.The suburb was developed by VicUrban, starting in 1994. A special feature of the VicUrban development is the stormwater catchment which flows into the lake and wetlands where it is purified before being released into Dandenong Creek and into Port Phillip Bay. Prior to 1994, the area now occupied by Lynbrook was part of Lyndhurst. There are two primary schools, one State and one Catholic. There is a central shopping centre with Coles and a range of strip shops with take away food and eateries, a gym, medical centre, pharmacy, news agency, butcher, bakery, and hair and beauty. There is also a Community Center, child care centres, vet, kindergarten and maternal child health nurse. Lynbrook has a local resident's group, the Lynbrook Residents Association (LRA), who advocate to Local, State and Federal Government on behalf of residents with local issues. They also host a number of Community Events to bring the community together to create a sense of belonging and community in Lynbrook.
