Halton General Hospital

Hallwood is a former mansion house in Runcorn, Cheshire, England. One wing of the house remains and was a public house called the Tricorn until its closure in 2017. Its former stables were converted into a function room for the public house. The remaining wing of Hallwood is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building; the former stables are listed at Grade II.

Runcorn Shopping City, formerly Halton Lea and Runcorn Shopping Centre, is a medium-sized indoor shopping centre in Runcorn, England. Opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1972, it is the main shopping area in Runcorn and has over 125,000 visitors per week. It was the largest enclosed shopping centre in Europe at the time of its construction and remains the largest in Cheshire.

It is built in sandstone with a slate roof and has rusticated quoins. It has five bays, the central of which is flanked by giant pilasters. The porch is supported by Doric columns. The eaves cornice has a solid parapet with a pedimented centre. Over the door are Sir John's coat of arms.

The house dates from 1693, and is built in sandstone with a slate roof. It has two storeys and an attic; a two-storey wing has been added to the back. The windows have mullions and the gables have corbels and copings. Both Starkey and Nikolaus Pevsner note that its style is older than its date.

The Castle, formerly known as The Castle Hotel, is a public house and former Georgian courthouse on Halton Hill in Halton, Runcorn, Cheshire, England. Its side walls are continuous with the curtain walls of the ruins of Halton Castle. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Halton Castle is a castle in the village of Halton, part of the town of Runcorn, Cheshire, England. The castle is on the top of Halton Hill, a sandstone prominence overlooking the village. The original building, a motte-and-bailey castle began in 1071, was replaced with the current sandstone castle in the 13th century. Building alterations continued until at least 1609, when the structure is recorded as in disrepair. The castle is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and a scheduled ancient monument.It was the seat of the Barons of Halton from the 11th century until the 14th century, then passed to the Duchy of Lancaster. It was besieged twice in the Civil War after which its structure deteriorated. In the 18th century a new courthouse was built on the site of the previous gatehouse. The castle lies in ruins apart from the courthouse which has been converted into a public house.

Beechwood is a residential area of Runcorn, England. It was designated as part of Runcorn's New Town in 1964 and allocated for private housing in the masterplan of 1967.Beechwood is served by the A5126 road to the north, and the A533 road to the east, the A557 road to the west, and the M56 motorway to the south. Floodbrook Clough, an ancient woodland and site of special scientific interest, cuts through the centre of the community. It is one of Cheshire's best examples of clough woodland on keuper marl. The small suburban community features Beechwood Primary School, a nursery, a private community centre, a pub, a public swimming pool, and a small Spar shop. Slightly further afield is the ecumenical church of St Marks, which is shared by both Anglicans and Methodists, as well as Hill View Primary School and a playground. The wooded area of Beech Wood is managed by the Woodland Trust.

The Seneschal's House stands at the corner of Halton Brow and Main Street in Runcorn, Liverpool City Region. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.The house is dated 1598, which makes it the oldest standing building in the Liverpool City Region. It was latterly a farmhouse although was originally built by the judge John King, called to the bar in London in the late 16th century and was originally known as "John King's New House"; the occupation of the original owner of the house, led to a later owner, Geoffrey Barraclough, Professor of History at Liverpool University in the mid 20th century coining the current name of the house. The house was, in fact, inhabited originally by a seneschal, that is the original owner, John King.The house is built with sandstone and it has a stone slate roof with a sandstone ridge. It is two storeys with an attic roof. At the front are three projections rising to the full height of the house. The central projection contains a porch; the others have bay windows with mullions. Each projection is surmounted by a gable and there are gables at each end of the house. The gables have corbels and moulded copings with finials at their summits.
