Deadman Island

Goose Island is one of the San Juan Islands in San Juan County, Washington, United States.

Cattle Point Lighthouse is a lighthouse on the southeastern tip of San Juan Island overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca where the Haro Straits meet the San Juan Channel, in San Juan County, Washington. The light lies adjacent to the state's Cattle Point Natural Resources Conservation Area and, since 2013, is part of the San Juan Islands National Monument.

San Juan Island National Historical Park, also known as American and English Camps, San Juan Island, is a U.S. National Historical Park owned and operated by the National Park Service on San Juan Island in the state of Washington. The park is made up of the sites of the British and U.S. Army camps during the Pig War, a boundary dispute over the ownership of the island. The camp sites were designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. The park was created by an act of Congress in 1966 and expanded slightly in 2013.

KLOI-LP (102.9 FM) is a low-power FM radio station broadcasting a variety format. Licensed to Lopez Island, Washington, United States, the station serves the San Juan Islands area. The station is currently owned by The Gathering of Island Voices And Expressions.

Lopez Island is the third largest of the San Juan Islands and an unincorporated town in San Juan County, Washington, United States. Lopez Island is 29.81 square miles (77.2 km2) in land area. The 2020 census population was 3,156, though the population swells in the summer, as second homes, rental houses, and campsites fill up.

Iceberg Island is an island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington. The name comes from the nearby Iceberg Point on Lopez Island. Iceberg Point was named by the U.S. Coast Survey of 1854 because of "remarkable deep and smooth marks of glacial action".

The Pig War was a confrontation in 1859 between the United States and the United Kingdom over the British–U.S. border in the San Juan Islands, between Vancouver Island (present-day Canada) and the State of Washington. The Pig War, so called because it was triggered by the shooting of a pig, is also called the Pig Episode, the Pig and Potato War, the San Juan Boundary Dispute, and the Northwestern Boundary Dispute. Despite being referred to as a "war", there were no casualties on either side.

Griffin Bay State Park in San Juan County, Washington was a marine park with two campsites in the Washington State Parks. It consisted of 15 acres (6.1 ha) with 340 feet (100 m) of saltwater shoreline. It was part of the Cascadia Marine Trail and campsites were restricted to visitors arriving by human- and wind-powered watercraft. Though the state parks department still owned the land as of August, 2014, the park is no longer listed on the state parks website.

Turn Island, is a 34-acre (14 ha) island in the San Juan Islands in the Salish Sea in the U.S. state of Washington. The island sits in the San Juan Channel about 900 feet off the eastern edge of San Juan Island. It is preserved as Turn Island Marine State Park and is part of the San Juan Islands National Wildlife Refuge. The island has 12 campsites and is only accessible by water.

Dinner Island is an island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington. It lies in Griffin Bay on the southeastern coast of San Juan Island. The name comes from the landing of a party from a British vessel who ate dinner on the island.

Islandale is an unincorporated community in San Juan County, in the U.S. state of Washington.

Puget Sound is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in northwest portion of Washington state encompassing Clallam, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Mason, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston and Whatcom Counties. It is the only Washington AVA located west of the Cascade Mountains. Puget Sound (or the "Sound") is an inlet of the Pacific Ocean extending about 190 mi (306 km) south from Admiralty Inlet and Juan de Fuca Strait to Olympia. It contains 13,100 sq mi (8,384,000 acres) of land, 150 sq mi (388 km2) of fresh water, and 2,500 sq mi (6,475 km2) of saltwater. The viticultural area lies entirely within the land basin surrounding the Sound. The Puget Sound viticultural area contains approximately 55% of the watershed's land area and water or 7,150 sq mi (4,576,000 acres) of land and 1,500 sq mi (3,885 km2) of water for a total area of 8,650 sq mi (5,536,000 acres). It has a maximum length of 190 mi (306 km) from north to south and 60 mi (97 km) from east to west, although it is most often less than 45 mi (72 km) wide. The AVA was established by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Treasury on October 4, 1995 after reviewing a petition submitted by Gerard and Jo Ann Bentryn of Bainbridge Island Vineyards & Winery in Bainbridge Island, Washington, proposing a new viticultural area within the State of Washington to be known as "Puget Sound." The region is almost entirely within hardiness zone 9a.
