Middle Fork II Township is a township in Forsyth County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 Census, it had a population of 2,639. The township covers an area of 6.315 square miles (16.36 km2). Middle Fork II Township was formed in April 2003, when Middle Fork Township was split into Middle Fork II Township and Middle Fork I Township.

In 2003, Middle Fork Township split into Middle Fork I Township and Middle Fork II Township.Geographically, Middle Fork Township occupied 12.93 square miles (33.5 km2) in central Forsyth County. Much of Middle Fork Township consists of the town of Walkertown. Additionally, much of the original township has been annexed by the City of Winston-Salem and made part of Winston Township.

Drive-In Studio was a recording studio in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, founded by Mitch Easter in July 1980, shortly after the break-up of his band The dB's. R.E.M.'s debut single, "Radio Free Europe" (1981), and their first extended play, Chronic Town (1982), were recorded at the studio in 1981. The studio was established in what was initially Easter's parents' garage, at 4527 Old Belews Creek Road, and became an important part of the early indie rock scene of North Carolina.At the time of R.E.M.'s stint at the studio, "the set-up was really simple," Easter said in 1994. "I had almost nothing in the studio back then, except a tape machine and a console and two compressors and one delay device. We couldn't do any fancy stuff."Easter explained the studio's layout in 2021: [The studio] was tiny. The entire space was probably about 225 square feet. It was a two-car garage that had been divided up before my parents got the place. The previous owners split it up and turned it into a one-car garage, and then the other half they made into a children’s bedroom and this sort of utility room. The car area was where the band stood together, the children’s bedroom was the control room, and I think the bass and guitar amps were isolated in the little utility area next to the control room.Due to the confined space of the interior, studio sessions often also took place in the home's driveway, under the carport.

Robert B. Glenn High School (commonly known as Glenn High School) is located in the town of Kernersville in Forsyth County, North Carolina. It is laid out in a college-campus style with numerous small buildings rather than a single large building.

WTRU (830 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Kernersville, North Carolina, and serving the Piedmont Triad. It is owned by Truth Broadcasting and carries a Christian talk and teaching radio format. Truth Broadcasting is owned by Stuart Epperson, Jr., son of Stuart Epperson, founder of Salem Communications. The station is the flagship of the "Truth Network," including WDRU in the Research Triangle, WCRU in Charlotte, WLES in Richmond, Virginia, and KUTR in Salt Lake City. By day, WTRU transmits with 50,000 watts, the maximum for AM stations in the U.S., but 830 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WCCO in Minneapolis, so WTRU must reduce power at night to 10,000 watts. Carver High School is a traditional public high school located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. It serves students in grade levels 9–12 as part of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools system. This historically black school was named for George Washington Carver. The school colors are blue and gold and the mascot is the yellow jacket. There are 966 students who attend Carver High School and 94 staff members. Over 100 of these students attend the Career Center in Winston-Salem to take alternate courses not offered at Carver.

Simon G. Atkins Academic & Technology High School is a high school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It opened in the fall of 2005 as a technology magnet school. Atkins is distinct in that it houses three separate academies: Biotechnology, Computer Technology, and Pre-Engineering. These departments were originally three separate schools under the Atkins Complex, but as of the 2010–11 school year, the schools were integrated into one establishment, for administrative ease. The three departments offer students various "majors," which provide focused environments in which students can explore their interests before they enroll in college. The school is named after Simon Green Atkins.

The township had a population of 6,808 according to the 2010 census.Geographically, Salem Chapel Township occupies 32.59 square miles (84.4 km2) in northern Forsyth County. Portions of the town of Walkertown are in Salem Chapel Township.
