The Roman Catholic Church of the Most Precious Blood is a Roman Catholic church on O'Meara Street in Southwark, London, SE1. The church and its adjoining presbytery, forecourt walls and shrine have been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since 2014. The shrine outside the church to Our Lady of Lourdes (or Our Lady of All Nations) was dedicated in 1957. It is made from Sicilian marble and stands in a niche lined with flint from Norfolk. The church serves the Parish of the Most Precious Blood which was established in 1891 by the Bishop of Southwark, John Baptist Butt upon a bequest of £10,000. The church was designed by the architect Frederick Walters and the combined cost of the construction of the church and adjoining presbytery was £7,000.Denis Evinson, in his book Catholic Churches of London, described the interior as "...a joy to enter, warm, welcoming and uncluttered by busy detail".The two bells of the church were made in the Whitechapel Bell Foundry and installed in 1956. The Stations of the Cross that adorn the walls of the interior were made from terracotta by the Swiss artist Matthias Zens.

Cross Bones is a disused post-medieval burial ground on Redcross Way in Southwark, south London. Up to 15,000 people are believed to have been buried there. It was closed in 1853. Cross Bones is thought to have been established originally as an unconsecrated graveyard for prostitutes, or "single women", who were known locally as "Winchester Geese" because they were licensed by the Bishop of Winchester to work within the Liberty of the Clink. The area lay outside the jurisdiction of the City of London and as a consequence became known for its brothels and theatres, as well as bull and bear baiting, activities not permitted within the City itself. By 1769 it had become a pauper's cemetery servicing St. Saviour's parish.

London College of Creative Media (LCCM) is a private college of higher education in South London offering undergraduate degrees in music, writing, and music management; a postgraduate degree in creative entrepreneurship; and shorter courses in music performance and production. It was founded in 2002 as the London Centre of Contemporary Music and changed to its present name in 2016. LCCM was also the home of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra from 2012 to 2017.

The Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum was a museum in southeast London. It was the world's first museum devoted to the history of tea and coffee, covering 400 years of commercial and social history of two commodities, since their arrival in Europe from Africa and the Far East. The museum was opened by Edward Bramah in 1992, 40 years after he had first had the idea. It was formerly at Butler's Wharf. It then moved to 40 Southwark Street in SE1, very close to London Bridge station and Borough Market. At this location the museum and tearoom would open daily serving coffee and tea. Edward Bramah died aged 76 at Christchurch, Dorset, on 15 January 2008. Despite his illness, Bramah had been working on a book which was to be called Britain's Tea Heritage. The museum closed that year, according to its website for redevelopment or possible relocation, but never reopened.

The Bunker was a fringe theatre in Southwark, London, England, from 2016 to 2020.The theatre was a converted underground car park at 53A Southwark Street, London, and had 110 seats. It opened in October 2016, the first production being Skin a Cat.It was awarded "Fringe Theatre of the Year" in The Stage Awards 2020. Productions at The Bunker that were finalists for The Offies, London's Off West End awards, included Cardboard Citizens (2018, Ensemble); Eyes Closed, Ears Covered (2018: Best supporting male in a play, Lighting Design, Most Promising New Playwright); Box Clever (2020, Best Female Performance), Little Miss Burden (2020, Best new play, Best director). In 2020 the theatre won the Offies People’s Vote Winner for Best Programming Policy and People’s Vote Winner for Best Social Media Presence & Activities, and Chris Somex, its artistic director, was given a Special Award "for his ambitious achievements at the theatre".The theatre closed in March 2020 for redevelopment.

Red Cross Garden is a small park in Southwark, London. It is located on Redcross Way, and named after the street, although the name of the garden is spelt with two words while the street is spelt with one. It is in the London Borough of Southwark. The garden and the associated cottages designed by Elijah Hoole form an early example of one of Octavia Hill’s social housing schemes.

Resonance 104.4 FM is a London based non-profit community radio station specialising in the arts run by the London Musicians' Collective (LMC). The station is staffed by four permanent staff members, including programme controller Ed Baxter and over 300 volunteer technical and production staff. Until September 2007, its studios were located on Denmark Street before moving to its present location at 144 Borough High Street, Southwark. The station broadcasts to a three-mile (4.8 km) radius on 104.4 MHz FM from a transmitter on the roof of Guy's Hospital at London Bridge. Its schedule includes nearly 100 shows catering to many sub-communities of the London area on a wide variety of subjects including a multitude of musical genres, local and foreign current affairs and subjects of local interest. Noted for its policy of giving broadcasters free rein of their creative outlet, it has been described by Time Out as "brilliantly eccentric". The station receives funding grants from Arts Council England.

The Anchor Brewery was a brewery in Park Street, Southwark, London, England. Established in 1616, by the early nineteenth century it was the largest brewery in the world. From 1781 it was operated by Barclay Perkins & Co, who in 1955 merged with the Courage Brewery, which already owned the nearby Anchor Brewhouse. The Park Street brewery was demolished in 1981.

Borough High Street is a road in Southwark, London, running south-west from London Bridge, forming part of the A3 route which runs from London to Portsmouth, on the south coast of England.

Vinopolis was a commercial visitor attraction in Southwark, London, England, operated by Wineworld, London that presented the subject of wine and oenology through exhibits and wine tastings. Vinopolis closed permanently at the end of 2015.

The Globe Theatre was a theatre in London associated with William Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men, on land owned by Thomas Brend and inherited by his son, Nicholas Brend, and grandson, Sir Matthew Brend, and was destroyed by fire on 29 June 1613. A second Globe Theatre was built on the same site by June 1614 and stayed open until the outbreak of the First English Civil War, when the Long Parliament closed all London theatres by ordinance dated 6 September 1642.A modern reconstruction of the Globe, named "Shakespeare's Globe", opened in 1997 approximately 750 feet (230 m) from the site of the original theatre.

The Hop Exchange is a Grade II listed building at No. 24 Southwark Street, London, in the Bankside area of the London Borough of Southwark. Opened in 1867 and designed by R.H. Moore it served as the centre for hop trading for the brewing industry.
