APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University

The College of Engineering, Trivandrum, commonly shortened to CET, is an engineering college in the Indian state of Kerala, situated in Thiruvananthapuram. Founded in 1939 by the Travancore monarch Chithira Thirunal, it is the state's oldest technical institution. It currently offers undergraduate, graduate and research programs in eight branches of engineering and has been affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University since 2015, prior to which it was part of the University of Kerala.

Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram is a private Catholic primary and secondary school for boys located in Sreekariyam, Thiruvananthapuram, in the state of Kerala, India. Founded in 1961, the school has been run by the Jesuits since its establishment.

Loyola College of Social Sciences is a government aided Catholic higher education institution run by the Kerala Province of the Society of Jesus in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1963. It is affiliated with the University of Kerala and prepares students for a PhD in sociology, social work, and management studies.The college celebrated its golden jubilee in 2012 with the President of India Pranab Mukherjee as guest of honor.

Manvila (Monvila) is a place in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. It is located between Sreekaryam and Kulathoor. It is located near the National Highway 66. Trivandrum Technopark and College Of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) are located near Manvila. Manvila Industrial Estate is one of the major industrial areas in Kerala. It originally began as a junction on the Kollam-Trivandrum National Highway and has since become a suburban area of the capital. In 2023, a local leader in the Communist Party of India from Pongumoodu was attacked with acid by another party leader.

Aakkulam is a region in Trivandrum city, the capital of Kerala state in India. It is about 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram city center. situated where the Akkulam Lake joins the sea. Akkulam Tourist village and Akkulam Boat Club are the major picnic spots in the area. The LuLu Mall Trivandrum mall is located here. A small park was recently built near the lake for recreational activities. The Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force is located at Aakkulam.

Kuzhivila is a locality in the northwest of Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala, India. It is located along the Kazhakoottam - Kovalam highway bypass. This bypass is part of NH66. Kuzhivila is near the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station and two software company campuses—Infosys SEZ and UST. Kuzhivila junction also houses one of the polling booths for state and central elections - Govt. U P School, Kuzhivila.

Sree Kulathoor Kolathukara Shiva Temple is a Hindu temple located in Thiruvananthapuram in the Indian state of Kerala, in 1893. The temple was built at the request of Narayana Guru in 1915.This is the temple where Sree Narayana Guru performed Shiva Pratishtha for the second time. Before that, Bhadrakali was the deity there. It was at this temple that Sri Narayana Guru composed the Kolatireshastavam in praise of Kolathukara Mahadeva.

Ulloor is a city locality in the Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It was the home of the modern Malayalam triumvirate poet Ulloor S. Parameswara Iyer. The Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram and Credence Hospital Thiruvananthapuram, Sree Uthram Thirunal Royal Hospital are located at Ulloor. Ulloor comes under Cheruvaikkal village limits of Thiruvananthapuram taluk. It comes under Kazhakootam legislative assembly constituency and Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency. Among the devotional buildings in Ulloor are Ulloor Balasubrahmanya Swamy temple, St. Mary's Church and St. Alphonsa Church.

Chempazhanthy is a village in the suburbs of Thiruvananthapuram City, the capital of Kerala state in India, which lies about 7 km north. Chempazhanthy became notable after the birth of Sree Narayana Guru. There was a small hut called "Vayalvaaram" where Sree Narayana Guru was born, in the Malayalam Era year 1032 in the Malayalam month of 'Chingam' under the star 'Chathayam' (August, 1856 AD) . His father was Maadan (Maadan Aasan). His mother was Kuttiamma. They had four children, one boy (Guru) and three girls. The S.N. College is the landmark of the area.
