North Davidson High School (commonly referred to as "NDHS," or simply "North") is a public high school in Welcome, North Carolina (near Lexington). It was established in 1952 and is located along Old US Highway 52 in northern Davidson County. The high school serves the Welcome, Arcadia and Midway areas.

Riley Everhart Farm and General Store is a historic farm and general store located near Welcome, Davidson County, North Carolina. The main house was built in 1885, and is an I-house that consists of a two-story, three-bay by two-bay, brick main block with a two-story rear ell with Italianate style design elements. It has a one-story front porch and one-story porches on the ell. The Arnold General Store and Post Office is a tall, narrow two-story, three-bay, frame building with a gable roof. Also on the property are the contributing original brick dairy and wellhouse, original log barn, granary, gear house, corn crib, woodhouse, chicken house, and garage.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Oak Grove High School is a public high school in Midway, North Carolina, which opened in August 2017. The school is a part of the Davidson County Schools system, and is to help with the overcrowded Ledford Senior and North Davidson High Schools.

It is associated with the Pilgrim Reformed Church, founded about 1757 By a man of the name Valentine Leonhardt. It contains approximately 350 burials, with the earliest gravestone dated to 1781. It features a unique collection of folk gravestones by local stone cutters erected in Davidson County in the late-18th and first half of the 19th centuries. The church was the first Pilgrim church in North Carolina. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

It awards certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in more than 50 programs. As a member of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA), between the North Carolina Community College System and the University of North Carolina (UNC) System, credits earned at DCCC transfer to the university system. Davidson-Davie Community College also provides basic skill training and General Educational Development (GED) programs to the public. Erlanger Mill Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina, USA. The district encompasses 282 contributing buildings and 7 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Lexington. The mill village dwellings were built between about 1916 and 1929 and include notable examples of Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. The dwellings were constructed by the Erlanger Mill Company as worker's housing and in a subdivision designed by noted landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper (1893–1994). The mill itself is a complex of one- and two-story mill buildings constructed from 1913 through the 1960s. Also located in the district are the Erlanger Baptist Church (1936) and Erlanger Graded School (c. 1920). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
