Welcome is a census-designated place (CDP) in Davidson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 4,162 at the 2010 census. It is nationally known as the home of Richard Childress Racing. In addition, Walker and Associates, Inc., a nationwide communication value-add distribution is headquartered here. The town motto is "Welcome to Welcome, A Friendly Place," as posted on the welcoming sign. Neighboring communities and municipalities include Midway, Arcadia, and Lexington.

The Richard Childress Racing Museum (RCR Museum) is a stock car racing museum located in Welcome, North Carolina in the United States. It opened in May 2003.

Pilgrim Reformed Church Cemetery is a historic church cemetery located near Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina. It is associated with the Pilgrim Reformed Church, founded about 1757 By a man of the name Valentine Leonhardt. It contains approximately 350 burials, with the earliest gravestone dated to 1781. It features a unique collection of folk gravestones by local stone cutters erected in Davidson County in the late-18th and first half of the 19th centuries. The church was the first Pilgrim church in North Carolina. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Riley Everhart Farm and General Store is a historic farm and general store located near Welcome, Davidson County, North Carolina. The main house was built in 1885, and is an I-house that consists of a two-story, three-bay by two-bay, brick main block with a two-story rear ell with Italianate style design elements. It has a one-story front porch and one-story porches on the ell. The Arnold General Store and Post Office is a tall, narrow two-story, three-bay, frame building with a gable roof. Also on the property are the contributing original brick dairy and wellhouse, original log barn, granary, gear house, corn crib, woodhouse, chicken house, and garage.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Beulah Church of Christ Cemetery is a historic church cemetery associated with the Beulah Church of Christ near Welcome, Davidson County, North Carolina. It contains approximately 100 gravestones, with the earliest gravestone dated to 1799. It features a unique collection of folk gravestones by local stonecutters erected in Davidson County in the late-18th and first half of the 19th centuries.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Erlanger Mill Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina, USA. The district encompasses 282 contributing buildings and 7 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Lexington. The mill village dwellings were built between about 1916 and 1929 and include notable examples of Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. The dwellings were constructed by the Erlanger Mill Company as worker's housing and in a subdivision designed by noted landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper (1893–1994). The mill itself is a complex of one- and two-story mill buildings constructed from 1913 through the 1960s. Also located in the district are the Erlanger Baptist Church (1936) and Erlanger Graded School (c. 1920). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

It was established in 1952 and is located along Old US Highway 52 in northern Davidson County. The high school serves the Welcome, Arcadia and Midway areas.

Lexington Senior High School is a public high school in Lexington, North Carolina, United States.

Grimes School is a historic school building located at Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina. It was built in 1935–1936, and is a two-story, T-shaped, Colonial Revival style brick building. It features large windows, an entrance portico with Ionic order fluted columns, and a large octagonal cupola. Some funding for school construction was provided by the Public Works Administration.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Hamilton Everhart Farm was a historic farm complex located near Midway, Davidson County, North Carolina. The complex, built about 1860, included a two-story log house with Greek Revival style design elements, a free-standing log kitchen, a double pen log barn, and a small log potato house. It has been demolished. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Childress Vineyards is a winery in Lexington, North Carolina owned by NASCAR Cup Series championship team owner Richard Childress. The connection between NASCAR and fine wine is reflected in the labeling of some of the wines produced by Childress, featuring a checkered flag motif.: 81 

Henry Shoaf Farm was a historic farm complex located near Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina. The complex included a two-story log house with an Italianate style addition built about 1860, double pen log barn dated to 1811, smokehouse, corn crib, granary, and potato house. It has been demolished. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
