Stony Stratford is a constituent town of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. Historically it was a market town on the important route from London to Chester (Watling Street). It is also the name of a civil parish with a town council in the City of Milton Keynes. It is in the north-west corner of the Milton Keynes urban area, bordering Northamptonshire and separated from it by the River Great Ouse.

Stony Stratford Town F.C. is a football club based in Stony Stratford, a constituent town of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. The Senior Team are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Division Two and play at Ostler's Lane. The club also has both development and competitive youth teams from under-7 to under-18 that play in The Milton Keynes District Development League. For 2022/23 season the club will field two girls teams in the Bedfordshire FA Girls League, and a Sunday Development team in the Wharfside Electrical MK Sunday League.

Old Stratford is a village and wider civil parish in the south of the English county of Northamptonshire. The population of the civil parish (including Passenham) at the 2011 Census was 1,935. The 'Stratford' part of the village name is Anglo-Saxon in origin and means 'ford on a Roman road'. The Roman road in this sense is the Watling Street that runs through the middle of the village.

Passenham is a small village in the civil parish of Old Stratford in south-west Northamptonshire, England. It is just north of the River Great Ouse, which forms the boundary with Buckinghamshire, and close to (but separated by the river from) Stony Stratford in Milton Keynes.The village's name means 'Passa's hemmed-in land'.

Calverton is a civil parish in the unitary authority area of the City of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England and just outside the Milton Keynes urban area, situated roughly 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Stony Stratford, and 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Central Milton Keynes. The parish consists of one village, Lower Weald, and two hamlets, Upper Weald and Middle Weald. Lower Weald is the largest of the three settlements, and Manor Farm, the parish church and the former parochial school are within its boundaries.The settlement name is Old English, and means 'farm where calves are reared'. In the Domesday Book of 1086 the village was recorded as Calvretone.The west side of nearby Stony Stratford was once included with the ecclesiastic parish of Calverton (the east side being in Wolverton). "The manorial rights over the west side were held with those of Calverton, [which] led to the manor of Calverton being often called 'the manor of Calverton with Stony Stratford', and the fair and market of Stony Stratford were included among its appurtenances, until an Act of Parliament in the 18th century separated them.The parish of Calverton was part of Stratford and Wolverton Rural District from 1894 to 1919, when the rural district became an urban district, subsequently renamed Wolverton urban district in 1920. The area was re-established as a separate parish in 2001. The parish church is dedicated to All Saints. "It was rebuilt in stone in the 12th- and 14th-century styles between 1818 and 1824, when some of the old details were re-used".

The Wolverton and Stony Stratford Tramway was a narrow gauge street tramway connecting Wolverton railway station and the Wolverton Works of the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) with Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire. Although its financial situation was always precarious, except for a period of just under two years between 1889 and 1891, the line was in continuous operation from 1887 to 1926. Between May 1888 to December 1889, an extension also ran from Stony Stratford to Deanshanger in Northamptonshire, via Old Stratford. Unusually for a British street tramway, it was worked entirely by steam locomotives, and was the last of its type to remain in operation.

Cosgrove Hall is an early-18th-century Grade II listed country house in Cosgrove, Northamptonshire. It was built on the site of an earlier house by the Furtho family. It is not open to the public. It may have been built by John Lumley of Northampton. In the nineteenth century, the building belonged to John Christopher Mansel. In May 1945, Queen Geraldine of Albania, the Queen consort to King Zog I of Albania, opened a fête at the hall. The building was destroyed by fire in October 2016. As well as the hall the other Grade II buildings on the estate are the dovecote, the stable block and the ice house. In front of the house, there is an excavated Roman bath house, viewable from the Grand Union Canal.

The Grafton Way is a 13-mile (21 km) (also measured at 11.5 miles or 18.5 kilometres) footpath in Northamptonshire, England. It runs south east from Greens Norton to Cosgrove (or Wolverton), where it meets the Knightley Way. It is named after the Dukes of Grafton, major land-owners in the area in the 18th and 19th centuries.It is recognised by the Long Distance Walkers Association and is marked on Ordnance Survey maps.The walk starts in the centre of Greens Norton, and heads south east, skirting the south-west edge of Towcester. It passes through the hamlet of Pury End near Paulerspury, and crosses the A5 road (the ancient Watling Street) before passing the south-west of Yardley Gobion and the deserted village of Furtho to reach Cosgrove on the Grand Union Canal. Some descriptions of the walk stop here, others continue along the canal tow-path to Old Wolverton on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.

Cosgrove is a village in Northamptonshire, England, about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Stony Stratford, 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Central Milton Keynes and 12 miles (19.3 km) south of Northampton along the A508 road and 8 miles (12.9 km) south-east of Towcester along the A5 road (the Roman road Watling Street). The River Tove passes to the east of the village flowing into the River Great Ouse just south, the latter marking the boundary with the City of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. The Grand Union Canal passes through the middle of the village. The villages name means 'Cof's grove' or perhaps, less likely, 'Cof's pit/trench'.

Fairfields is a neighbourhood and civil parish that covers a large new development area on the western flank of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. As the first tier of Local Government, the parish council is responsible for the people who live and work in this area of Milton Keynes. It is bounded by Calverton Lane (the Monks Way (H3) alignment west of Watling Street), Watling Street (V4), the Ridgeway (H1) reserve route, and a hedgerow line with Calverton CP. The district covers 123.5 hectares (305 acres) (including open space) and is projected to have 2,220 homes and 9 hectares (22 acres) of employment land.

Cosgrove aqueduct is a navigable cast iron trough navigable aqueduct that carries the Grand Union Canal over the River Great Ouse, on the borders between Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire at the northwest margin of Milton Keynes in England. The present structure was built in 1811, to replace a previous brick structure that had failed. When the present structure was erected, it was known as the "Iron Trunk". The structure has two cast iron trough spans, with a single central masonry pier. The abutments were constructed in masonry but have been refaced in brick during the twentieth century. The trough is 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m) deep, with a total length of 101 feet (31 m). The canal surface is about 40 feet (12 m) above the surface of the river. There are large approach earthworks about 36 feet (11 m) high above the valley floor and 150 feet (46 m) wide, with a total length of half a mile (800m).

The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Grade II* listed church, incorporating Saxon and medieval elements, located in the town of Wolverton, Buckinghamshire, England. The modern church was rebuilt between 1809 and 1815.
