Temasek Secondary School (TMS) is a co-educational government autonomous secondary school in Bedok South, Singapore. Founded in 1980, it offers secondary education leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level or Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examination.

Bedok South MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson–East Coast Line in Bedok planning area, Singapore.The station will be located next to Temasek Secondary School, at the intersection of Upper East Coast Road and Bedok South Road.

Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan (SHHK) (traditional Chinese: 新加坡福建會館; simplified Chinese: 新加坡福建会馆; pinyin: Xīnjiāpō Fújiàn Huìguǎn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Sin-ka-pho Hok-kiàn Hōe-koán), or the Singapore Hokkien Association in English, is a cultural and educational foundation. Siglap is a neighbourhood located in Bedok in the East Region of Singapore. The area also encompasses the Frankel and Opera Estates and their names have sometimes been used interchangeably to refer to the approximate same area. The planning subzone area of Siglap as defined by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is confusingly and inaccurately referred to as the small strip of land between Victoria Junior College and Bedok South Avenue 1. It is a residential area where a majority live in landed homes such as freehold semi-detached houses and bungalows. Some of the land parcels near Siglap Centre have been redeveloped into serviced apartments and condominiums. The few Housing and Development Board flats in Siglap have been demolished in 2015 under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme. The East Coast Park is also located nearby, across the East Coast Parkway.

Temasek Junior College (TJC) is a government junior college located in Bedok South, Singapore. It offers a six-year Integrated Programme alongside a two-year Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level curriculum.

Bedok View Secondary School (BVSS) is a co-educational government secondary school in Bedok, Singapore. It is within walking distance from Tanah Merah MRT station.

Bedok Lighthouse (Chinese: 勿洛灯塔) is an active lighthouse facility located at the southeastern coast of Singapore. The lighthouse is located on top of a 26-storey condominium at Lagoon View Block 5000L Singapore 449293, Marine Parade Road.The light characteristic shown is one white flash every 5 seconds (Fl.W. 5s) visible for 20 nautical miles (37 km; 23 mi). It can be observed visually as a "red concrete cubicle".

Bedok South Secondary School (BDS) is a co-educational government secondary school in Bedok, Singapore. It is one of eight schools to be selected for the Ministry of Education's 'Teach Less, Learn More' programmes.

Tanah Merah MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the East West line located in Bedok, Singapore. Other than the main service for the East West line, Tanah Merah station is also the terminus for the Changi Airport branch line, a spur of the East West line. Tanah Merah station is located at the boundaries of Bedok North and Bedok South planning subzones, and is built along New Upper Changi Road between the junctions of Bedok South Avenue 3/Tanah Merah Kechil Road and Tanah Merah Kechil Avenue. Tanah Merah station is one of the only two elevated MRT stations to have more tracks than the conventional two train tracks on other stations (the other one being Ang Mo Kio). The middle track serves the train service of the Changi Airport Branch line, which terminates at Changi Airport. Tanah Merah means 'red earth' in Malay, which is derived from the red lateritic cliffs along the coast that were once visible from the sea (most of which were leveled into the sea for land reclamation works). Since 2017, Tanah Merah station is officially assigned the station code "CG", in addition to the station code "EW4" which the station originally had, to differentiate the operations of the main service and the Changi Airport branch line, albeit that it was not displayed on the signage of the station until 2021. Announced on 25 May 2019, the station will be transferred over to the Thomson–East Coast line by 2040, and the Changi branch of the East West line will cease to operate.

Sungei Bedok MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit interchange and terminal station on the Downtown Line and Thomson-East Coast Line in Bedok planning area, Singapore. The station is being built east of where Upper East Coast Road becomes Bedok Road, and will serve residents of the Eastwood estate. Nearby facilities include the Bedok Food Centre, Eastwood Centre and the Laguna National Golf & Country Club.The station is named after Sungei Bedok, a small river within its vicinity. Despite its name and location, the station is not contiguous to both Bedok North and Bedok Reservoir stations of the Downtown Line.

Bedok Point is a four-storey mall (with 2 basement stories) located in the town center of Bedok along New Upper Changi Road, and near Bedok MRT station. Bedok Point officially opened on 26 April 2011. The mall held its soft opening on 16 December 2010. It has a range of retail units, entertainment outlets, a bookstore and food outlets.

Siglap MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line in Bedok planning area, Singapore.The station will be located at Marine Parade Road, near to Victoria School and St. Andrew's Autism Centre.
