Polanco (Spanish pronunciation ) is a station of the Mexico City Metro in Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City. It is an underground station with two side platforms served by Line 7 (the Orange Line) between San Joaquín and Auditorio stations. It serves the colonia (neighborhood) of Polanco and it is named after it; the pictogram depicts the clock tower located at the nearby Lincoln Park. Polanco station opened on 20 December 1984 with service northward toward Tacuba and southward toward Auditorio. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 35,694 passengers, making it the 24th busiest station in the network and the third busiest of the line. The station is one of the deepest on the network and the facilities are partially accessible for people with disabilities. Along with escalators, commuters can use the staircases, including one set that is a giant piano-shaped staircase. The steps are fully interactive as they include motion sensors that produce key sounds whenever their laser detects movement.

On 31 January 2013 in Mexico City, an explosion caused by a gas leak occurred beneath Building B-2 at the Torre Ejecutiva Pemex (Pemex Executive Tower), a skyscraper complex that is the headquarters of Pemex, the Mexican state oil company. At least 37 people died and another 121 were injured when an explosion occurred in a building adjacent to the main tower. Earlier in the day, Pemex sent out a tweet saying that the building was being evacuated due to a "problem with the electrical system" in the complex that includes the skyscraper.

The Pemex Executive Tower (Spanish: Torre Ejecutiva Pemex) is a skyscraper in Mexico City. The 211-metre (692 ft) international style tower was built between 1979 and 1984. Since the building's opening, it has been occupied by state-owned Pemex, one of the largest petroleum companies in the world.

The Canadian Embassy building in Mexico City was designed by Étienne Gaboury of Winnipeg, previously noted as a church architect, and was inaugurated in 1982. Located at Schiller 529, Col. Bosque de Chapultepec (Polanco), it is a "celebrated" design which features many metaphors meant to evoke various natural landscapes of Canada, as well as integrating a Spanish colonial style courtyard. The total area of the building is 6,500 square metres (70,000 sq ft), including an artium on the first floor, a multipurpose room for hosting events, and an employee cafeteria. The two upper floors contain the diplomatic, cultural, and business offices. Artwork inside the building includes silk banners in autumn colours by Takeo Tanabe and a large wooden totem pole by Tony Hunt.The embassy delivers a wide variety of services including consular, international business development, and general relations programs by 28 Canada-based diplomats, who are supported by 81 locally-engaged employees.This building was part of a wave of Canadian embassy construction during the 1970s and 80s meant to win Canada more international exposure and to demonstrate the success of Canadian federalism and internationalism.

Quintonil is a contemporary Mexican restaurant in Polanco, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City. Owned by couple Jorge Vallejo and Alejandra Flores, Quintonil started as a menú del día restaurant and progressed to fine dining. With à la carte options and a nine-course tasting menu, the restaurant focuses on using herbs and vegetables that are uncommon in dishes. The British magazine Restaurant has continuously ranked Quintonil on its list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants since 2016. Quintonil was awarded two Michelin stars in 2024, in the first Michelin Guide covering restaurants in Mexico, becoming the highest-rated restaurant in the country and tying with the Mexican restaurant Pujol.

Pujol is a Mexican restaurant named by Wall Street Journal as the best in Mexico City.The restaurant is run by chef Enrique Olvera, who trained at the Culinary Institute of America and who oversees the onboard menu in business class of airline Aeromexico. Pujol serves Mexican cuisine as refined and elegant plates built from indigenous ingredients that pay tribute to Mexico’s rich culinary history.
