Jardín Botánico Canario Viera y Clavijo is the full name of the botanical garden on Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands. "Jardín Botánico Canario" means "Botanical Garden of the Canaries", while the additional words "Viera y Clavijo" honor the pioneering Spanish cleric and scholar José Viera y Clavijo (1731–1813), who attempted to found a botanical garden in the Canary Islands in the late eighteenth century. The Botanical Garden Viera y Clavijo is located in the northeast of Gran Canaria, in Tafira Alta, approximately 7 kilometers southwest of the capital city Las Palmas. Thus it is located inland from Las Palmas, a few kilometers away from Santa Brígida.

The Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria (Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria) is a teaching hospital of general scope in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain). Located in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, it was founded 13 February 1971 and consists in Februar 2021 of 503 beds. The first patient was hospitalized 20 September 1971.The hospital is managed by the Canarian Government via the Servicio Canario de Salud (Canary Health Service) and is geared to health care in the south and east of Gran Canaria (Telde, Valsequillo, Ingenio, Agüimes, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Mogán and the south of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). Estadio Gran Canaria is a football stadium in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is home to UD Las Palmas. It was opened in 2003 as a multi-purpose stadium to become the successor of the old Estadio Insular. It is one of the potential host cities for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Las Palmas Atlético is the reserve team of UD Las Palmas, club based in Las Palmas, in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands. The arena, opened in 2014 by Mariano Rajoy, has a capacity of 11,470 spectators and is the home arena of CB Gran Canaria. The first game in Gran Canaria Arena was the game of the 28th round of the 2013–14 ACB season between Herbalife Gran Canaria and FC Barcelona, played on 1 May 2014. The arena hosted of the groups of the main round of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the basketball's Copa del Rey in February 2015.
