Pleasant Hill is located along or near Pleasant Hill Road between Castle Rock and Ostrander. The northern end of Pleasant Hill community is part of the Castle Rock School District, while the southern end is part of the Kelso School District.

Lexington is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cowlitz County, Washington, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 3,834. During the 2010 census, Lexington was part of the West Side Highway CDP. The CDP is in the western part of the county and is bordered to the southwest by Beacon Hill and to the east by the Cowlitz River. State Route 411 runs through the community, following the Cowlitz. It leads south 4 miles (6 km) to Longview and north 8 miles (13 km) to Castle Rock.

As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 5,517. Prior to the 2020 census, the CDP was split into two new CDPs, Beacon Hill and Lexington.

Beacon Hill is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cowlitz County, Washington, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 2,211. During the 2010 census, Beacon Hill was part of the West Side Highway CDP. The CDP is in the western part of the county and is bordered to the south and west by Longview Heights, to the northeast by Lexington, and to the east by the Cowlitz River. State Route 411 runs through the east side of the community, following the Cowlitz. It leads south 3 miles (5 km) to Longview and north 9 miles (14 km) to Castle Rock.

The Toutle River is a 17.2-mile (27.7 km) tributary of the Cowlitz River in the U.S. state of Washington. It rises in two forks merging near Toutle below Mount St. Helens and joins the Cowlitz near Castle Rock, 20 miles (32 km) upstream of the larger river's confluence with the Columbia River.The river was altered by the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens, a nearby volcano, and subsequent flows of ash and other debris. It was further altered by dredging to remove sediment, and by construction of the Toutle River Sediment Retention Structure on the North Fork Toutle River.

On September 3, 2021, the KBAM call sign and the country format moved to 1400 AM Longview, swapping frequencies, formats and call signs with talk/sports-formatted KEDO, which moved to 1270 AM.
