Noordbeemster

The Nieuwe Toren (New Tower) is located at the Oudestraat in the city of Kampen, in the Netherlands. This Carillon tower was built in the period between 1649-1664 partly according to a design by Philips Vingboons. The lower brick-built part was erected by the Edam mill maker (Master carpenter) Dirck Janzn. The design for the lantern was made by Philips Vingboons, which may have originally been intended for the Town hall now the Royal Palace of Amsterdam. The construction work went through many setbacks, the work even came to a standstill during the period 1655-1660. It was declared a Dutch National Monument (Rijksmonument) in 1972.

The Koornmarktspoort is city gate in Kampen, Overijssel, the Netherlands. It was originally part of the city wall and is the oldest of the Kampen city gates.

Middenbeemster is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the former municipality of Beemster, and lies about 6 km northwest of Purmerend. Since 2022 it has been part of the municipality of Purmerend. In 2001, the town of Middenbeemster had 3628 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.82 km², and contained 1404 residences. The slightly larger statistical area "Middenbeemster" has a population of around 3820. The town is the birthplace of the painter Carel Fabritius.

Beemster (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbeːmstər] (listen)) is a former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The Beemster is the first so-called polder in the Netherlands that was reclaimed from a lake, the water being extracted from the lake by windmills. The Beemster polder was drained between 1609 and 1612. It has preserved intact its well-ordered landscape of fields, roads, canals, dykes and settlements, laid out in accordance with classical and Renaissance planning principles. A grid of canals parallels the grid of roads in the Beemster. The grids are offset: the larger feeder canals are offset by approximately one kilometer from the larger roads. Beemster merged into the existing municipality of Purmerend on 1 January 2022.

Westbeemster is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the former municipality of Beemster, and lies about 9 km northwest of Purmerend. Since 2022 it has been part of the municipality of Purmerend. In 2001, the town of Westbeemster had 117 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.04 km², and contained 40 residences. The larger statistical district "Westbeemster" has a population of around 360. By 2020, the town population had increased to 810 inhabitants.

Beets (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbeːts]) is a village in the northwest Netherlands. It is a part of the municipality of Edam-Volendam, North Holland, and lies about 9 km southwest of Hoorn.

Museum Betje Wolff is a history and decorative arts museum in Beemster, North Holland in the Netherlands. The museum, founded in 1950, is located in a former Dutch Reformed Church. It is named after Betje Wolff. Wolff lived in the building with her husband, Adrian Wolff, who was a pastor. The museum library has a complete collection of all of Betje Wolff's works.The museum has rooms decorated in period styles of three different centuries. There is an 18th-century garden. It focuses on the lifestyle of residents of Beemster.

De Goorn is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 9 km west of Hoorn. The village was first mentioned around 1312 as "den Gore", and means "swampy forest ground". De Goorn was home to 98 people in 1840. In 1930, the Catholic Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church was built by Joseph Cuypers and his son Pierre jr.

Grosthuizen is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 7 km southwest of Hoorn. The village was first mentioned in the 12th century 1420 Asthusa, and means "big (eastern) settlement". Grost (big) was added to distinguish from Oosthuizen. Later Ast (east) was dropped from the name. Grosthuizen developed as a peat excavation settlement in the 13th century. In 1874, a church was built, but demolished in 1965. Only a belfry remains.Grosthuizen was home to 307 people in 1840. It was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1854, when it was merged with Avenhorn. In 2007, it became part of the municipality of Koggenland.
