The Nieuwe Toren (New Tower) is located at the Oudestraat in the city of Kampen, in the Netherlands. This Carillon tower was built in the period between 1649-1664 partly according to a design by Philips Vingboons. The lower brick-built part was erected by the Edam mill maker (Master carpenter) Dirck Janzn. The design for the lantern was made by Philips Vingboons, which may have originally been intended for the Town hall now the Royal Palace of Amsterdam. The construction work went through many setbacks, the work even came to a standstill during the period 1655-1660. It was declared a Dutch National Monument (Rijksmonument) in 1972.

Beemster (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbeːmstər] (listen)) is a former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The Beemster is the first so-called polder in the Netherlands that was reclaimed from a lake, the water being extracted from the lake by windmills. The Beemster polder was drained between 1609 and 1612. It has preserved intact its well-ordered landscape of fields, roads, canals, dykes and settlements, laid out in accordance with classical and Renaissance planning principles. A grid of canals parallels the grid of roads in the Beemster. The grids are offset: the larger feeder canals are offset by approximately one kilometer from the larger roads. Beemster merged into the existing municipality of Purmerend on 1 January 2022.

Since 2022 it has been part of the municipality of Purmerend. In 2001, the town of Middenbeemster had 3628 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.82 km², and contained 1404 residences. The slightly larger statistical area "Middenbeemster" has a population of around 3820. The town is the birthplace of the painter Carel Fabritius.

Museum Betje Wolff is a history and decorative arts museum in Beemster, North Holland in the Netherlands. The museum, founded in 1950, is located in a former Dutch Reformed Church. It is named after Betje Wolff. Wolff lived in the building with her husband, Adrian Wolff, who was a pastor. The museum library has a complete collection of all of Betje Wolff's works.The museum has rooms decorated in period styles of three different centuries. There is an 18th-century garden. It focuses on the lifestyle of residents of Beemster.

Since 2022 it has been part of the municipality of Purmerend. In 2001, the town of Westbeemster had 117 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.04 km², and contained 40 residences. The larger statistical district "Westbeemster" has a population of around 360. By 2020, the town population had increased to 810 inhabitants.

Noordbeemster is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the former municipality of Beemster, and lies about 9 km north of Purmerend. Since 2022 it has been part of the municipality of Purmerend. The statistical district "Noordbeemster", which covers the village and the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 360.

Neck is a village in the northwest Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Wormerland, North Holland, about 3 km west of Purmerend. The village was first mentioned in 1328 as "sic: van Hicke", and means "neck" which refers to the narrowest point of the waterway separating the Beemster from the Wormer.The polder mill Nekkermolen dates from 1631. In 1878, a pumping station was installed, but the wind mill has remained in service to this day to lend a hand, because the water in the polder rises fast during a storm.

Zuidoostbeemster is a town in the west of the Netherlands in the former municipality of Beemster, North Holland. It is located about 1 km northwest of Purmerend. Since 2022 it has been part of the municipality of Purmerend. In 2005, the statistical district "Zuidoostbeemster", covering the village and surrounding countryside, had a population of around 2050. By 2020 the village grew to 3,310 inhabitants.

Schermerhorn (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsxɛrmərˌɦɔrn]) is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Alkmaar, and lies about 9 km south of Heerhugowaard.

Purmerend Overwhere is a suburb railway station in Purmerend, Netherlands. The station opened in 1971, and lies 2 km north of Purmerend. The station is on the Zaandam–Enkhuizen railway.

Oudendijk is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 9 km (5.6 mi) southwest of Hoorn.
