Rossall

Rossall School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) for 0–18 year olds, between Cleveleys and Fleetwood, Lancashire. Rossall was founded in 1844 by St Vincent Beechey as a sister school to Marlborough College which had been founded the previous year. Its establishment was "to provide, at a moderate cost, for the sons of Clergymen and others, a classical, mathematical and general education of the highest class, and to do all things necessary, incidental, or conducive to the attainment of the above objects." Along with Cheltenham, Lancing and Marlborough, Rossall was part of a flurry of expansion in public school education during the early Victorian period. Set in a 161-acre (0.65 km2) estate next to Rossall Beach, and now with about 900 students, Rossall is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and was granted a royal charter on 21 October 1890. It is an 'all-through' school with a nursery, 'pre-prep', preparatory and senior school. Rossall's campus has a large array of facilities for extracurricular activities and the school is home to the Lawrence House Space Science and Astronomy Centre, the only facility of its type in the UK. Over the years, Rossall has adapted itself to changing attitudes in education, and was the first school in the UK to have a Combined Cadet Force and one of the first to introduce the International Baccalaureate and host a dedicated international study centre on campus.

Fleetwood High School is a coeducational secondary school located in Fleetwood in the English county of Lancashire.The school was founded in 1977 as a comprehensive non-denominational school, a successor to Fleetwood Grammar School (1921–77) and Bailey School. It was renamed Fleetwood Sports College in 2005 when the school was given specialist school status in sport, but reverted to its original name in September 2010. Today it is a foundation school administered by Lancashire County Council and the Fleetwood Education Trust.Fleetwood High School admits pupils from the Fylde Coast, predominantly Fleetwood, Thornton and Cleveleys. Main feeder primary schools include Charles Saer Primary School, Chaucer Primary School, Flakefleet Primary School, Larkholme Primary School and Shakespeare Primary School. Cleveleys is a town on the Fylde Coast of Lancashire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) north of Blackpool and 2 miles (3 km) south of Fleetwood. It is part of the Borough of Wyre. With its neighbouring settlement of Thornton, Cleveleys was part of the former urban district of Thornton-Cleveleys and is part of the Blackpool Urban Area. In 2011 the Cleveleys Built-up area sub division had a population of 10,754.

Sub Zero Ice Rink was an ice rink, in Cleveleys, Lancashire, England. The rink was 36 metres (118 ft) x 22 metres (72 ft). It was home to the Fylde Flyers, Blackpool Seagulls and Wyre Seagulls ice hockey teams.

Cleveleys bus station is a bus station located on Rough Lea Road in Cleveleys, Lancashire, England. Built in 1932, and serving several local towns, the station has four stands.

Children's Corner, also known as Kiddie's Corner, was a small amusement park located in Cleveleys, Lancashire, England. It stood at the western end of Victoria Road, on Cleveleys Promenade, between 1961 and 2004. The park opened in 1961 on land known as The Arena. It was originally owned by the council, but Albert Mason Sr., owner of nearby Olympia Family Amusements, purchased a lease to run it in late 1960; it opened the following year.Its two most popular attractions were the "Alpine Glide" helter skelter and the "Monte Carlo Rally" classic-car ride, which featured electronically driven cars on a track, allowing children to believe they were driving them.In 2001, a new ride called the Jumping Star was opened.After its closure in 2004, the park was demolished as part of work on the town's sea defences. A concrete seating arena now occupies the location.

Rossall Point Observation Tower is an observation tower in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England. The four-storey 46-foot-high (14 m) tower was completed in March 2013. It is also used as a beacon and was designed by Studio Three Architects.Located on the sand dunes between Cleveleys and Fleetwood, the tower's second floor is a base for the National Coastwatch Institution and its top level provides an open observation deck on its top level for the general public and bird watchers. With views over the Lakeland fells out across Morecambe Bay and the Irish Sea, it is part of Wyre Council's project Sea Change, a £2.1 million redevelopment product. It provides a 360° panorama.The four-storey tower replaces the old observation tower which was no longer fit for purpose. The older tower was a coastguard tower built in 1948 which also provided a public viewing platform. In December 2011, the Orange mast next to the tower was removed. The roof of the old tower (viewing platform) was moved in early 2012 and the remains of the tower were converted into a toilet. Work on the new tower officially began in February 2012.The ground floor gallery is used as an education facility by Wyre Council's Coast and Countryside Rangers. A camera at the top of the tower shows pictures which are then shown on a screen in the education facility for those unable to climb to the top floor.Councillor Gordon McCann, cabinet member with responsibility for economic development at Wyre Council, called the tower "distinctive" with "stunning" "views".It is one of two observation towers with views over the Lancashire coastline, alongside Blackpool Tower; formerly, Morecambe was home to Morecambe Tower and the Polo Tower.

Fleetwood power stations were two generating stations that supplied electricity to the town of Fleetwood, England and the surrounding area from 1900 to 1981. The first station was owned by the Fleetwood and District Electric Light and Power Syndicate and later by Fleetwood Urban District Council. The second station was owned and operated by the state following the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948; this power station was decommissioned in October 1981.

Victoria Road is a major thoroughfare in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire, England. Originally known as Ramper Road, it runs for about 2 miles (3.2 km) from Station Road (at its junction with Balmoral Place) in Thornton, in the east, to South Promenade in Cleveleys, in the west. Its addresses are denoted as "Victoria Road East" or "Victoria Road East", the split occurring at the Amounderness Way roundabout carrying traffic of the A585 between Poulton-le-Fylde and Fleetwood. The road picks up the B5412 designation from Station Road until The Crescent and Brighton Avenue (the A587) in Cleveleys. Blackpool Tramway crosses Victoria Road West at the junction of Rossall Road, The Crescent and Brighton Avenue in Cleveleys. The westernmost section of Victoria Road, in Cleveleys, is known for its plethora of cafes. This section is often called the "jewel in Wyre's crown", although Victoria Road West received widespread support for road-safety improvements in 2023.
