Fleetwood High School is a coeducational secondary school located in Fleetwood in the English county of Lancashire.The school was founded in 1977 as a comprehensive non-denominational school, a successor to Fleetwood Grammar School (1921–77) and Bailey School. It was renamed Fleetwood Sports College in 2005 when the school was given specialist school status in sport, but reverted to its original name in September 2010. Today it is a foundation school administered by Lancashire County Council and the Fleetwood Education Trust.Fleetwood High School admits pupils from the Fylde Coast, predominantly Fleetwood, Thornton and Cleveleys. Main feeder primary schools include Charles Saer Primary School, Chaucer Primary School, Flakefleet Primary School, Larkholme Primary School and Shakespeare Primary School. Fleetwood High School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. The school also offers some vocational courses in conjunction with Blackpool and The Fylde College.

Rossall is a settlement in Lancashire, England and a suburb of the market town of Fleetwood. It is situated on a coastal plain called The Fylde. Blackpool Tramway runs through Rossall, with two stations: Rossall School on Broadway and Rossall Square on South strand.

Fleetwood power stations were two generating stations that supplied electricity to the town of Fleetwood, England and the surrounding area from 1900 to 1981. The first station was owned by the Fleetwood and District Electric Light and Power Syndicate and later by Fleetwood Urban District Council. The second station was owned and operated by the state following the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948; this power station was decommissioned in October 1981.

Rossall School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) for 0–18 year olds, between Cleveleys and Fleetwood, Lancashire. Rossall was founded in 1844 by St Vincent Beechey as a sister school to Marlborough College which had been founded the previous year. Its establishment was "to provide, at a moderate cost, for the sons of Clergymen and others, a classical, mathematical and general education of the highest class, and to do all things necessary, incidental, or conducive to the attainment of the above objects." Along with Cheltenham, Lancing and Marlborough, Rossall was part of a flurry of expansion in public school education during the early Victorian period. Set in a 161-acre (0.65 km2) estate next to Rossall Beach, and now with about 900 students, Rossall is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and was granted a royal charter on 21 October 1890. It is an 'all-through' school with a nursery, 'pre-prep', preparatory and senior school. Rossall's campus has a large array of facilities for extracurricular activities and the school is home to the Lawrence House Space Science and Astronomy Centre, the only facility of its type in the UK. Over the years, Rossall has adapted itself to changing attitudes in education, and was the first school in the UK to have a Combined Cadet Force and one of the first to introduce the International Baccalaureate and host a dedicated international study centre on campus.

Affinity Lancashire is a shopping and leisure outlet in the port town of Fleetwood, Lancashire, England. It is owned by Global Mutual Ltd and managed by Savills UK.Affinity Lancashire is located adjacent to Wyre Dock and marina. Retailers include - Body Shop, Cadbury, Claire's Accessories, Clarks Outlet, Mountain Warehouse, Hallmark Cards, Regatta, Home Bargains, Next, Sports Direct, Moss Bros, The Fragrance Shop and The Works among others. They currently home over 40 named brands.The centre promises up to 60% off RRP all year round, with new season and outlet stock available in all stores. It is home several other hospitality retailers, including McDonald's, Subway, Costa Coffee and the Coffee Box & Bistro. The site opened 11 July 1995 as part of a regeneration scheme for the docks. In 2006 the outlet received a £8.6 million revamp which included the opening of new stores and dozens of new jobs. In 2018 the centre went through a re-branding. This involved the renaming of the site to become Affinity Lancashire, leaving behind its former name Freeport Fleetwood. Ironically this wasn't the centre's official name, it had just been a Freeport branded site, in Fleetwood. This change gave the site a much needed relaunch, and inclusion into a group of outlet centres across the UK; Affinity Lancashire, Affinity Staffordshire, Affinity Devon and Affinity Sterling Mills.The outdoor centre is dog-friendly and is known for its seasonal, free family events. Affinity Lancashire has parking spaces for up to 700 vehicles and ten coaches. It is served directly by the Blackpool Transport bus service 1 and is a five-minute walk from the Fisherman's Walk tram stop on the Blackpool Tramway. The centre is fully accessible and provides free wheelchair hire.

Wyre Dock railway station served Fleetwood in Lancashire, England, from 1885 to 1970. Wyre Dock passenger station was constructed in 1885, on the Fleetwood Branch Line from Poulton-le-Fylde, about half a mile from the Fleetwood main terminus. The station stood at the southern end of Dock Street, about a quarter mile from Wyre Dock itself. There had been a branch line for freight only to Wyre Dock since its construction in 1877, to support the distribution of fish. Fleetwood locomotive depot was located on the east side of the line south of the station. It was closed by British Railways in 1965. Fleetwood's main terminus was closed on 18 April 1966, as a result of the Beeching Cuts, and Wyre Dock was renamed "Fleetwood" station, as the terminus of the Fleetwood Branch Line. However, all passenger services between Poulton-le-Fylde and Fleetwood were withdrawn after the last train on 30 May 1970, and the station was demolished. Light industry developed in the area, and, in the 1990s, the new A585 Amounderness Way bypass was built on the former railway route.

Fleetwood is a coastal town in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England, at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 at the 2011 census. Fleetwood acquired its modern character in the 1830s, when the principal landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, High Sheriff and MP, conceived an ambitious plan to re-develop the town to make it a busy seaport and railway spur. He commissioned the Victorian architect Decimus Burton to design a number of substantial civic buildings, including two lighthouses. Hesketh-Fleetwood's transport terminus schemes failed to materialise. The town expanded greatly in the first half of the 20th century with the growth of the fishing industry, and passenger ferries to the Isle of Man, to become a deep-sea fishing port. Decline of the fishing industry began in the 1960s, hastened by the Cod Wars with Iceland, though fish processing is still a major economic activity in Fleetwood. The town's most significant employer today is Lofthouse of Fleetwood, manufacturer of the lozenge Fisherman's Friend which is exported around the world.

Fleetwood Pier, also known as the Victoria Pier, was a pleasure pier located in the English town of Fleetwood, Lancashire. At 492 feet (150 m) in length, it was one of the shortest piers in the country. It was built in 1910 at the end of the golden age of pier building, and other than a 1957 pier built in Deal, Kent to replace a structure damaged in World War II, it was the last pleasure pier to be built in the United Kingdom. The building was destroyed by fire and demolished in 2008.

St Mary's is a Roman Catholic church in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England. Designed by E. W. Pugin, it was built in 1866–67. It is an active church in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lancaster. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by English Heritage.
