The course was designed by 4-time Open Championship winner, Peter Thomson (golfer). The club has been home to some fine professional golfers, the most noted being Jeev Milkha Singh. The club has a clubhouse, a swimming pool and a gymnasium for its 2,300 members. Membership is notoriously difficult to get, with waiting periods running into tens of years. The club has 1,000 NRI members who paid $3,000 initiation fees and yearly dues, with a total of $300,000 (approx. Rs. 24 Crore), NRI members do not have any voting rights, even though the government of India has allowed dual citizenship to NRI's.

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills (Shivalik hills) of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation. To check the inflow of silt, 25.42 km² of land was acquired in the catchment area and put under vegetation. In 1974, the Choe was diverted and made to bypass the lake completely, the lake being fed by three siltation pots, minimizing the silt into the lake itself.

Panchkula is a planned city and district headquarter in the Panchkula district, part of the Ambala division in Haryana, India. The city hosts the Chandimandir Cantonment, the headquarters of the Western Command of the Indian Army. It is a planned city like Chandigarh, with a sector system.

The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden for rock enthusiasts in Chandigarh, India. It is also known as Nek Chand Saini's Rock Garden of Nathupur after its founder Nek Chand Saini, a government official who started building the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. It has spread over an area of 40 acres (16 ha), and is completely built from industrial, home waste, and discarded items.

The Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary is a 2600 hectare (6400+ acres) nature preserve located in the Sivalik Hills of Chandigarh, India, near Sukhna Lake. The area was officially declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1998. The sanctuary is open for a select number of visitors, and an entry pass is required, which is issued by the Forest Department Office (Sec-19B, Chandigarh). The reserve is typically not open to the public during the rainy season.

It is part of the Capitol Complex, which includes the Legislative Assembly, Secretariat and High Court. The Palace of Assembly features a circular assembly chamber, a forum for conversation and transactions, and stair-free circulation.The building was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016.

Secretariat Building is a Le Corbusier-designed government building built in 1953, located inside the Chandigarh Capitol Complex which comprises three buildings and three monuments: the Secretariat building, Legislative Assembly building and High Court building, Open Hand Monument, Geometric Hill and Tower of Shadows.In July 2016, the building and several other works by Le Corbusier were inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

It is spread over an area of around 100 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh's architecture. It comprises three buildings: the Palace of Assembly or Legislative Assembly, Secretariat Building and the High Court plus four monuments (Open Hand Monument, Geometric Hill, Tower of Shadows and the Martyrs Monument) and a lake. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site List in 2016 along with sixteen other works by Le Corbusier for its contribution to the development of modernist architecture.
