Lake of Tunis

Chikly (Arabic: شكلي) is a small island located in the northern part of Lake of Tunis which houses Fort Santiago Chikly, a former Roman citadel which was reconstructed by the Spanish Governor of Goletta, Luys Peres Varga, between 1546 and 1550. The fort was completely abandoned in 1830 and was left to deteriorate. Chikly was declared a national cultural heritage asset in December 1993 and is owned by the Ministry of Culture of Tunisia. The fort is being restored as part of the Tunisian-Spanish cooperation involving the National Heritage Institute and the University of Madrid. Excavation and cleaning took place in 1994 followed by archaeological excavations in 1995. These found mosaics and charts dating back to the Roman and Byzantine periods in the 4th and 5th centuries.

The Battle of Lake Tunis was a series of engagements of the Third Punic War fought in 149 BC between the Carthaginians and the Roman Republic. Roman consuls Manius Manilius and Lucius Marcius Censorinus, leading separate forces, made several unsuccessful attempts to breach the walls of Carthage. Later, the Carthaginians launched fire ships, which destroyed most of the Roman fleet. Eventually Censorinus returned to Rome, leaving Manilius to continue fighting.

Mediterranean School of Business is a private for-profit business school in Les Berges du Lac, Tunisia. It is part of South Mediterranean University. MSB is the first business school in the French-speaking Tunisia with programs and activities organized in English. It was legally established in 2004 as a private institution under the Tunisian laws regulating the organisation and functioning of private schools. The American Cooperative School of Tunis or ACST (Arabic: المدرسة التعاونية الأمريكية بتونس) is a comprehensive American, international, non-profit, private school located in El Aouina, Tunisia The school enrolls more than 450 students in grades Pre-school-12. The school is widely known for its International Baccalaureate Diploma Program which it has used since 2000. It is currently the only IB World School in Tunisia.

Tunis–Carthage International Airport, Arabic: مطار تونس قرطاج الدولي, IATA: TUN, ICAO: DTTA) is the international airport of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It serves as the home base for Tunisair, Tunisair Express, Nouvelair Tunisia, and Tunisavia. The airport is named for the historic city of Carthage, located just east of the airport.

The Tunis Sports City is an entire sports city currently being constructed in Tunis, Tunisia. The general master plan was designed by the Italian architect Enzo Calabrese and his architecture firm Kei_En. Enzo Calabrese Design Studio SRL. The city that will consist of apartment buildings as well as several sports facilities will be built by the Bukhatir Group at a cost of $5 billion (5.86 billion Dinars). Construction began in 2008, after being approved by the former Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.The site is located in the Lac de Tunis area in the northern suburbs of the city. The entire site is currently an uninhabited green space. The Lac de Tunis area is the major focus for new development and building activity in Tunis, and it has seen an increasing number of multi-national companies setting up offices there. The site is bordered by two roads, the main Rue de Lac on one side and the motorway connecting Tunis with the suburbs on the other. The first part of the project is Cedar, a housing district made up of 11 high-rise apartment buildings, approximately 50 standard villas and grand villas, as well as 13 blocks of low-rise townhouses/apartments which will be called the village. The Tunis Sports City, which will cover an area of 257 hectares, will include several spaces of entertainment activities through academies in various sport disciplines like tennis, golf and swimming. The project also includes sports academies, a 20,000 capacity football stadium, a swimming centre with an Olympic-size swimming pool, a thalassotherapy centre, and an indoors sports services centre.

The Institut Supérieur des Études Technologiques de Charguia (Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Charguia), commonly abbreviated ISET Charguia or ISETch, was created by virtue of Decree no. 2000-981, dated 11 May 2000. It falls under the General Direction of Technogical Studies of the Ministry of Higher Education.It comprises two departments: information technology and business administration.

The National Engineering School of Carthage (Arabic: المدرسة الوطنية للمهندسين بقرطاج) or ENICarthage, is a Tunisian engineering school based in the city of Ariana located in the north of the country. Part of the Carthage University.

Mégrine (مقرين) is a town and commune in the Ben Arous Governorate, Tunisia. It has the head office of Monoprix Tunisia.

The Meliane River (وادي مليان), also known as Oued Miliane is a wadi that flows into the Gulf of Tunis located in the North Eastern coast of Tunisia.The River starts near Djebel Bargou(جبل برقو) mountains and drains a watershed of about 2000 km². The Oued Miliane has a number of tributaries including Oued el Hamma, and is the second longest course perennial river in the country after the Medjerda.

Nessma El Jadida (Arabic: الجديدة نسمة, translation: New Breeze), formerly known as Nessma TV (Arabic: قناة نسمة, translation: "Breeze TV") and Nessma Rouge (Arabic: نسمة روج, translation: Red Breeze) was a commercial TV channel based in Tunisia, targeting Tunisia and the Maghreb countries. It was 25% formerly owned by the Italian company Mediaset, controlled by Silvio Berlusconi. All programmes broadcast on this channel had subtitles in French or Maghrebi Arabic. It broadcast such programs as the Maghrebi version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, called Man sa yarbah al malyoon. The TV channel was launched on 16 March 2007, by Nabil and Ghazi Karoui, in partnership with Berlusconi and Tarak Ben Ammar. It was created as a subsidiary of Karoui & Karoui World Group.On 27 October 2021, the channel was ordered to shut down by Tunisia's broadcasting regulator, which said it was operating without a license. The channel's studios were also raided by Tunisian state security forces, and may have been politically motivated, as Nessma owner Nabil Karoui (the runner-up in the 2019 Tunisian presidential election) who has since been recently and frequently jailed is a rival of President Kais Saied. The seizure was also sudden as the network had been unlicensed for years, but no action had previously been taken.The channel was granted a temporary license by HAICA to reoperate on 8 March 2022 after a negotiation between the representatives of the channel and the president of HAICA on 15 February 2022.The channel was officially relaunched on 11 March 2022. The channel is now owned by the new managing director Zied Riba under his company Maghreb Broadcast. The channel's name was also changed to Nessma El Jadida or New Nessma (Arabic: الجديدة نسمة, translation: "New Breeze"). The channel became available on the Iraqi satellite ShababSat on DMN.
