Jellaz Cemetery (Arabic: مقبرة الجلاز Maqbara al-Jalāz; also known as al-Jallaz and Cemetery Djalez) is a large hillside Muslim cemetery in Tunis, Tunisia, established in the thirteenth century. Located next to the bus station, the cemetery is the largest in the city. The Borj Ali Rais Ottoman fortress is visible from most places in the cemetery. Visiting the cemetery is a duty during Aid el Fitr at the end of Ramadan. Family members at this time clean and paint the tombs, which face Mecca. In 1911, mass protests known as the Jellaz Affair demonstrations took place at the cemetery against the French, triggered by land registration and entitlement disputes. These in turn led to the Tunis Tram Boycott,. A bloody confrontation took place after the burial of the wife of an eager propagandist of naturalisation and resulted in the death of 39 people, nine of them French and five Italian.

Chokri Belaïd (Arabic: شكري بلعيد, romanized: Shukrī Bil‘īd; 26 November 1964 – 6 February 2013), also transliterated as Shokri Belaïd, was a Tunisian politician and lawyer who was an opposition leader with the left-secular Democratic Patriots' Movement. Belaïd was a vocal critic of the Ben Ali regime prior to the 2011 Tunisian revolution and of the then Islamist-led Tunisian government. On 6 February 2013, he was fatally shot outside his house in El Menzah, close to the Tunisian capital, Tunis. As a result of his assassination, Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali announced his plan to dissolve the existing national government and to form a temporary "national unity" government.

Tunis Marine is a railway station in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, and forms the southern terminus of the standard gauge Tunis-Goulette-Marsa railway or "TGM", which was inaugurated in 1872. The line and station are managed by the Société des transports de Tunis (Transtu). The service depot for the line's trains is adjacent, to the north, reached by a level crossing over Avenue Habib Bourguiba (formerly called Avenue de la Marine). Tunis Metro (light rail) routes 1 and 4, also managed by Transtu, terminate nearby and provide services to the city centre, the main railway station, Tunis Gare Centrale, and beyond. Buses from the station serve destinations including Tunis–Carthage International Airport and the Bardo National Museum.The next station on the TGM line is Le Bac.

The Higher National Engineering School of Tunis, is a public institution of higher education and scientific research and a member of the University of Tunis. ENSIT establishment was a response to the increasing industrialization of Tunisia. The school is currently an "école d'ingénieurs", or school of engineering, which follows to some extent the European polytechnic university model. In 2011, the main focus of ENSIT was to form engineers with high scientific aptitude in the fields of civil, mechanical, electrical engineering and computer science. The academic year of 2012/2013 brought two more specializations: industrial engineering and applied mathematics. The change of curriculum has dictated an end to the LMD reforms (License, Master, Doctorate) by which the admission process was organized. However, the school retains its doctorate and master's programs.

Bab Alioua (Arabic: باب عليوة) is one of the gates of the medina of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. Bab Alioua, which translates as the "Gate of the Small Story", was built by the sultan hafside Abū lshâq Ibrâhîm al-Mustansir (1349–1369) at the eastern edge of the ramparts of the medina. It takes its name from a small building near the gate that served as a lookout post. It was through this door that Hayreddin Barbarossa entered Tunis in 1534.

Theâtre de l'Étoile du Nord (Arabic: مسرح نجمة الشمال) also known as the North Star Theatre, is a theatre in the centre of Tunis, Tunisia. It is located at 41 Avenue de Farhat-Hached, near Avenue Habib Bourguiba since 26 February 2000; the theatrical production company was established on 29 February 1996. The premises of the theatre covers over 700 m2 (7,500 sq ft), its great hall covering 400 m2 (4,300 sq ft). Located in a former warehouse, it hosts concerts of all kind of music, literary meetings in French or Arabic and the theatrical presentations of the company of the Étoile du Nord. Said to be "as boho as Tunis gets", the theatre is popular with students and artists who meet in the alcohol-free cafe and its library. The theatre hosts around 160 events per year, including western style reggae, heavy metal and jazz groups performing and stand-up comedy.

Bab El Fellah (Arabic: باب الفلة) was one of the gates of the medina of Tunis. Also called "Door of the Breach", it is located on the second enclosure of the southern suburbs of Tunis. Built around 1350, it plays an important economic role because its situation near the agricultural plain and on the roads of Zaghouan and Kairouan. According to an ancient tradition, beside this door, there was a wide breach which allowed the flight of the Tunisians during the battle of Tunis in 1535.

Sabkha Mosque (Arabic: جامع السبخة) is a Tunisian mosque in the south of the medina of Tunis in Bab Jaziza suburb.

The Hôtel du Lac (English: Lake Hotel) is a hotel in Tunis. The building was designed in the Brutalist style by the Italian architect Raffaele Contigiani and built from 1970 to 1973 for the Tunisian government of Habib Bourguiba.

Tunis Gare Centrale (also known as Gare de Tunis) is the main railway station in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It is operated by the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Tunisiens. The station was damaged in a fire, during the revolution of 2011.

The Russian Orthodox church in Tunis (Arabic: الكنيسة الأرثوذكسية الروسية بتونس), also called 'Church of the Resurrection' (Russian: Церковь Воскресения Христова) is a church Orthodox of the city of Tunis (Tunisia). Located on the Avenue Mohammed V, it was built by the Russian community of Tunis. The laying of the foundation stone in October 1953. Built by Russian architect Michel Kozmin (1901-1999), it was inaugurated on June 10, 1956.
