American Cooperative School of Tunis

The Embassy of the United States in Tunis is the diplomatic mission of the United States of America in Tunisia.

Mediterranean School of Business is a private for-profit business school in Les Berges du Lac, Tunisia. It is part of South Mediterranean University. MSB is the first business school in the French-speaking Tunisia with programs and activities organized in English. It was legally established in 2004 as a private institution under the Tunisian laws regulating the organisation and functioning of private schools. Its founder and president is Mahmoud Triki and its actual dean is Leila Triki. Its Executive MBA Program is the first and only MBA Program in Tunisia accredited by the London-based Association of MBAs (AMBA). MSB offers its students exchange opportunities and double-master degrees abroad as it partners with different universities all over the world. MSB developed partnerships and exchange programm with various North American, european, Asian and african universities including the University of South Florida, the Emporia State University, HEC Montreal, IESEG, Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, ESC Rennes School of Business, KEDGE Business School, IESEG, Nova School of Business and Economics, University of Hertfordshire, EM Normandie, Catholic University of Portugal, The American University in Cairo and IE Business School.MSB students can also obtain a double degree from both SMU and one of its partner universities including the ESC Rennes School of Business, Hult International Business School, ESIC University, HEC Montreal and EADA Business School.

The Tunis Sports City is an entire sports city currently being constructed in Tunis, Tunisia. The general master plan was designed by the Italian architect Enzo Calabrese and his architecture firm Kei_En. Enzo Calabrese Design Studio SRL. The city that will consist of apartment buildings as well as several sports facilities will be built by the Bukhatir Group at a cost of $5 billion (5.86 billion Dinars). Construction began in 2008, after being approved by the former Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.The site is located in the Lac de Tunis area in the northern suburbs of the city. The entire site is currently an uninhabited green space. The Lac de Tunis area is the major focus for new development and building activity in Tunis, and it has seen an increasing number of multi-national companies setting up offices there. The site is bordered by two roads, the main Rue de Lac on one side and the motorway connecting Tunis with the suburbs on the other. The first part of the project is Cedar, a housing district made up of 11 high-rise apartment buildings, approximately 50 standard villas and grand villas, as well as 13 blocks of low-rise townhouses/apartments which will be called the village. The Tunis Sports City, which will cover an area of 257 hectares, will include several spaces of entertainment activities through academies in various sport disciplines like tennis, golf and swimming. The project also includes sports academies, a 20,000 capacity football stadium, a swimming centre with an Olympic-size swimming pool, a thalassotherapy centre, and an indoors sports services centre.

The British International School of Tunis (commonly abbreviated to BIST) is a private school in La Soukra, Ariana Governorate, Tunisia that provides elementary and secondary education. It enrolls about 250 students, aged 3 to 18, from Key Stage 1 to 5. The new sixth form opened in September 2020. The school is accredited by COBIS, has a membership to IAPS & is inspected under the ISI framework.

Tunis Carthage University (Arabic: جامعة تونس قرطاج), also known as UTC, is a private university in La Soukra, a residential suburb near Tunis, Tunisia. Founded in 1993, it is one of the oldest private institutions of higher education in Tunisia. All degrees awarded by UTC are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and internationally.

International School of Carthage (ISC; French: École Internationale de Carthage, EIC; Arabic: مدرسة قرطاج الدولية) is a private school in Carthage, Tunisia that provides elementary and secondary education.

La Soukra (Arabic: سكرة) is a city and commune in the Ariana Governorate of Tunisia. As of 2004 it had a total population of 129,693. It is located in the center of a vast agricultural plain occupied by orange orchards of which only a few traces remain. Indeed, during the years 2000 and 2010, urban expansion changed the appearance of the city.

Chikly (Arabic: شكلي) is a small island located in the northern part of Lake of Tunis which houses Fort Santiago Chikly, a former Roman citadel which was reconstructed by the Spanish Governor of Goletta, Luys Peres Varga, between 1546 and 1550. The fort was completely abandoned in 1830 and was left to deteriorate. Chikly was declared a national cultural heritage asset in December 1993 and is owned by the Ministry of Culture of Tunisia. The fort is being restored as part of the Tunisian-Spanish cooperation involving the National Heritage Institute and the University of Madrid. Excavation and cleaning took place in 1994 followed by archaeological excavations in 1995. These found mosaics and charts dating back to the Roman and Byzantine periods in the 4th and 5th centuries.

The Lake of Tunis (Arabic: بحيرة تونس Buḥayra Tūnis; French: Lac de Tunis) is a natural lagoon located between the Tunisian capital city of Tunis and the Gulf of Tunis (Mediterranean Sea). The lake covers a total of 37 square kilometres, in contrast to its size its depth is very shallow. It was once the natural harbour of Tunis.

The Battle of Lake Tunis was a series of engagements of the Third Punic War fought in 149 BC between the Carthaginians and the Roman Republic. Roman consuls Manius Manilius and Lucius Marcius Censorinus, leading separate forces, made several unsuccessful attempts to breach the walls of Carthage. Later, the Carthaginians launched fire ships, which destroyed most of the Roman fleet. Eventually Censorinus returned to Rome, leaving Manilius to continue fighting.

Tunis–Carthage International Airport, Arabic: مطار تونس قرطاج الدولي, IATA: TUN, ICAO: DTTA) is the international airport of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It serves as the home base for Tunisair, Tunisair Express, Nouvelair Tunisia, and Tunisavia. The airport is named for the historic city of Carthage, located just east of the airport.

The Circus of Carthage is a Roman circus in Carthage, in present-day Tunisia. Used for chariot racing, it was modeled on the Circus Maximus in Rome and other circus buildings throughout the Roman Empire. Measuring more than 470 m in length and 30 m in width, it could house up to 45,000 spectators, roughly one third of the Circus Maximus.
