Rec Comtal

Sant Pere de les Puelles (in Catalan, Puel·les, in Spanish, Real Monasterio de San Pedro de las Puellas) is a Benedictine monastery in the Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera neighborhood of the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The 10th-century building, Romanesque/Gothic in style, was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural landmark in 1931.

The Arc de Triomf (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈaɾk də tɾiˈomf]) is a triumphal arch in the city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It was built by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. The arch crosses over the wide central promenade of the Passeig de Lluís Companys, leading to the Ciutadella Park that now occupies the site of the world fair. It is located at the northern end of the promenade, facing the Passeig de Sant Joan.

Arc de Triomf is a Rodalies de Catalunya and Barcelona Metro interchange complex. It is named after the adjacent triumphal arch of the same name near which it is situated, in the Barcelona district of Eixample in Catalonia, Spain. The Rodalies station is served by Barcelona commuter rail service lines R1, R3 and R4, as well as Girona commuter rail service line RG1 and regional line R12. The Barcelona Metro station is served by TMB-operated line L1. The complex is located near Estació del Nord, Barcelona's main bus station.

The Font del Gat or Font de Sant Agustí Vell is a Gothic fountain (reconstructed) located in the Barri de Ribera of Barcelona. It is on the ground floor of the house with its main facade towards the Plaça de Sant Agustí Vell and placed on the corner of Carders and Tantarantana streets (below which the Rec Comtal is used to feed the fountain).It is a very significant fountain in Barcelona, since the main use was as a watering trough for the horses of the carriages that entered to Barcelona via the Portal Nou.

Passeig de Lluís Companys (Catalan pronunciation: [pəˈsɛdʒ də ʎuˈis kumˈpaɲs]) is a promenade in the Ciutat Vella and Eixample districts of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, and can be seen as an extension of Passeig de Sant Joan. It was named after President Lluís Companys, who was executed in 1940. It starts in Arc de Triomf and ends in Parc de la Ciutadella, on Carrer de Pujades.

The Convent of Sant Agustí Vell is a convent in the Ribera district of Barcelona which construction began in 1349 and was completed around 1506. It was located in the area where artisan tanners dedicated to the treatment of skins, used to work, an activity that requires a high consumption of water, reason why it was located around the Rec Comtal, routed through Carrer del Rec and the current location of the Mercat del Born.

Museu de la Xocolata or Museo del Chocolate in Spanish, ("Museum of Chocolate") is a private museum in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, owned by the Gremio de Pastelería de Barcelona (the city pastry-makers' guild). The museum opened in 2000, at Calle Comercio 36, in El Born, Ciudad Vieja, on the ground level of an old barrack. Many of the displays are chocolate sculptures, including various well-known Barcelona buildings, and illustrations from various stories.

Brossa Espai Escènic (Brossa Scenic Space in Catalan) is a small theatre in Barcelona inaugurated in December 1997. It is intimately related to the creative universe of Joan Brossa i Cuervo and to the artistic and historic avant-garde activities and contemporary creation. Its founders and co-directors are actor and director Hermann Bonnín and magician Hausson.

The Fundació Vila Casas, founded in 1986 by the pharmaceutical entrepreneur Antoni Vila Casas, is a private, non-profit organisation which has the promotion of contemporary Catalan art as its main aim. With five exhibition centers, all part of the Catalan architectural heritage, the foundation has become a platform for exhibiting a permanent collection and holding temporary shows of the artists featured in the collection. The aims of the Fundació Vila Casas in the field of arts is the promotion of the work and the artistic careers of Catalan artists, meaning artists who live or work in Catalonia, by means of: Exhibitions Conferences Donations The awarding of prizes. The promotion of collectors. The providing of museums and galleries for the exhibition of work by contemporary Catalan artists.Since 1998 the headquarters of the Fundació Vila Casas have been located on the first floor of the Modernist building Casa Felip, at Ausiàs Marc Street, number 20, Barcelona. Originally it was the residence of the Felip family, who commissioned the architect Telm Fernández to build it in 1901. Years later it was designated a site of local cultural heritage by the Barcelona city council. The first floor housing the headquarters of the Fundació Vila Casas is not open to the public, but it can be visited with the purchase of the catalogue of the Fundació Vila Casas.

The Palau de les Belles Arts was a multipurpose building in Barcelona. Demolished in 1942, it was built on the occasion of the universal exhibition of 1888, in the space where the municipal courts are currently located in front of the Parc de la Ciutadella, on the corner of Passeig de Lluís Companys and Passeig de Pujades .

The Castle of the Three Dragons (Catalan: Castell dels Tres Dragons, Spanish: Castillo de los Tres Dragones), is the popular name given to the modernisme building built between 1887–1888 as a Café-Restaurant for the 1888 Universal Exposition of Barcelona by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. This name was probably adopted from the 1865 play by Serafí Pitarra.

The Museu Picasso (Catalan pronunciation: [muˈzɛw piˈkasu], "Picasso Museum") is an art museum in Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It houses an extensive collection of artworks by the twentieth-century Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, with a total of 4251 of his works. It is housed in five adjoining medieval palaces on Montcada Street in the La Ribera neighborhood in the Old City of Barcelona. It opened to the public on 9 March 1963, becoming the first museum dedicated to Picasso's work and the only one created during his lifetime. It has since been declared a museum of national interest by the Government of Catalonia.Highlights of the collection include two of his first major works, The First Communion (1896), and Science and Charity (1897). In particular, the Museu Picasso reveals Picasso's relationship with the city of Barcelona, a relationship that was shaped in his youth and adolescence and continued until his death.
