Lithuanian Space Association

The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences or LMA (Lithuanian: Lietuvos mokslų akademija, Latin: Academia Scientiarum Lithuaniae) is a state-funded independent organization in Lithuania dedicated for science and research. Its mission is to mobilize prominent scientists and initiate activities that would strengthen the welfare of Lithuania and contribute to the scientific, social, cultural and economic development of the country.

The Bank of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos bankas) is the Lithuanian member of the Eurosystem and has been the monetary authority for Lithuania from 1922 to 2014, issuing the Lithuanian litas, albeit with a long suspension between 1940 and 1993. Since 2014, it has also been Lithuania's national competent authority within European Banking Supervision.

Kaziuko mugė or Saint Casimir's Fair is a large annual folk arts and crafts fair in Vilnius, Lithuania, dating to the beginning of the 17th century. The fair is traditionally held in city's markets and streets on the Sunday nearest to 4 March (Feast of St. Casimir), the anniversary of Saint Casimir's death. In Lithuanian, Kaziukas is a diminutive of Casimir. Today, Saint Casimir's fair also features music, dance, theater performances; it attracts tens of thousands of visitors and many craftsmen from across Lithuania as well as from neighbouring countries such as Latvia, Russia, and Poland. In recent years, the fair has expanded into other cities in Lithuania, Belarus, Poland.

Church of the Holy Cross (Lithuanian: Šv. Kryžiaus bažnyčia) is a Roman Catholic church in the Vilnius Old Town. Initially, in 1543 a chapel was built which was later expanded and rebuilt. The current towers were built in 1725. Following the fire in 1737 the church was reconstructed and a late baroque interior was installed.A former monastery complex of the Brothers Hospitallers of Saint John of God is nearby the church.The church is famous for a spring with miraculous water in its basement (people believe that this water cures eye diseases) and a painting of Mary, mother of Jesus, which bestows favors.

Church of St. George (Lithuanian: Šv. Jurgio bažnyčia) is a Roman Catholic church in the Vilnius Old Town which was completed and consecrated in 1765. The church and nearby monastery complex was built by the Radziwiłł family and served as family's mausoleum. The church has an 18th-century organ.

The de Choiseul (de Reuss) Palace (Lithuanian: Šuazelių (de Reusų) rūmai; Polish: pałac de Choiseulów (de Reussów)) is a building in Simonas Daukantas square, Vilnius Old Town, Lithuania. Currently it is used as dwellings and "Copy1" company subsidiary.

The Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos vyriausiasis administracinis teismas) was formed and started its activities from the 1st of January 2001, following the amendment of Law on the Establishment of Administrative Courts of 19 September 2000.

The Cathedral Square in Vilnius (Lithuanian: Katedros aikštė) is the main square of the Vilnius Old Town, right in front of the neo-classical Vilnius Cathedral. It is a key location in city's public life, situated as it is at the crossing of the city's main streets and reflecting the city's diversity. Regularly held at this site are fairs and gatherings of townspeople, military parades, religious and official public events, attractions and large concerts, New Year’s salutes and exhibitions. It is not merely the most lively and important location in the city, but is also one of the most significant and widely known symbols of Lithuania.

Daukantas Square in Vilnius, Lithuania is located in the Old Town, in front of the Presidential Palace. Its name commemorates a progenitor of the 19th-century Lithuanian national revival, Simonas Daukantas. In the late 19th century it had a monument of Mikhail Nikolayevich Muravyov-Vilensky. The square hosts state ceremonies. It has also been the site of demonstrations and rallies.

The Cathedral Basilica of St Stanislaus and St Ladislaus of Vilnius (also known as Vilnius Cathedral; Lithuanian: Vilniaus Šv. Stanislovo ir Šv. Vladislovo arkikatedra bazilika; Polish: Bazylika archikatedralna św. Stanisława Biskupa i św. Władysława, historical: Kościół Katedralny św. Stanisława) is the main Catholic cathedral in Lithuania. It is situated in Vilnius Old Town, just off Cathedral Square. Dedicated to the Christian saints Stanislaus and Ladislaus, the church is the heart of Catholic spiritual life in Lithuania. The coronations of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania took place within its confines. Inside its crypts and catacombs are buried many famous people from Lithuanian and Polish history including Vytautas (1430), his wife Anna (1418), his brother Sigismund (Žygimantas) (1440), his cousin Švitrigaila (1452), Saint Casimir (1484), Alexander Jagiellon (1506), and two wives of Sigismund II Augustus: Elisabeth of Austria (1545) and Barbara Radziwiłł (1551). The heart of the Polish king and Grand Duke of Lithuania Władysław IV Vasa was buried there upon his death, although the rest of his body is buried at the Wawel Cathedral in Kraków. Inside, there are more than forty works of art dating from the 16th through 19th centuries, including frescoes and paintings of various sizes. During the restoration of the cathedral, the altars of a presumed pagan temple and the original floor, laid during the reign of King Mindaugas, were uncovered. In addition, the remains of the cathedral built in 1387 were also located. A fresco dating from the end of the 14th century, the oldest known fresco in Lithuania, was found on the wall of one of the cathedral's underground chapels. During the Soviet occupation, the cathedral was converted into a warehouse. Masses were celebrated again starting in 1988, although the cathedral was still officially called The Gallery of Images at that time. In 1989, its status as a cathedral was restored.

Łopacińskis (Sulistrowskis) Palace (Lithuanian: Lopacinskių (Sulistrovskių) rūmai, Polish: Pałac Łopacińskich (Sulistrowskich)) is a building in Vilnius Old Town, Skapo st (Skapo st. 4). Currently it is owned by the State Language Inspectorate and Vilnius Archdiocese Economy Council.

The Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (Lithuanian: Lietuvos mokslų akademijos Vrublevskių biblioteka) is a major research library in Vilnius, Lithuania. The library was established by Tadeusz Wróblewski in 1912. It became part of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences in 1941. The library houses more than 3.7 million documents and has an extensive collection of old and rare manuscripts and publications.
