Cwm Dewi

Pwllgwaelod (originally Y Pwll Gwaelod, Welsh for The Bottom Cove/Creek) is a small scattered hamlet centred on a bay on the south-western side of the Dinas Island peninsula. It is in the community of Dinas Cross between Fishguard and Newport, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Many of the properties within the hamlet of Pwllgwaelod are holiday cottages.

Dinas Island (Welsh: Ynys Dinas) is a peninsula, partially detached from the mainland, in the community of Dinas Cross between Fishguard and Newport, Pembrokeshire, in southwest Wales. A triangulation point shows 466 feet (142 m) above sea level at Pen-y-fan. Although Dinas Head is the northernmost part of the promontory where the cliffs meet the sea, the name is sometimes loosely used to refer to this highest point. Dinas Island is contained within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the headland is under the care of the National Trust.

Bryn-henllan, Bryn Henllan or Brynhenllan is a small settlement in the community of Dinas Cross, north Pembrokeshire, Wales, just north of the A487 road between Fishguard and Newport, on the road leading to Pwllgwaelod.

Dinas Cross (Welsh: Dinas) is a village, a community and a former parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Located between Fishguard and Newport in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, it is a popular holiday destination on the A487 road. The two hamlets, Cwm-yr-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod, are in the community. The community has an elected community council and until 2022 gave its name to an electoral ward of Pembrokeshire County Council which covered the communities of Dinas Cross, Cwm Gwaun and Puncheston.

Cwm-yr-Eglwys (English: Valley of the Church) is a hamlet in a picturesque cove on the eastern side of the Dinas Island peninsula in the community of Dinas Cross between Fishguard and Newport, Pembrokeshire, in southwest Wales. It has a full-time population of around 10 people. There are 27 homes and a small private caravan site.

Newport Bay (Welsh: Bae Trefdraeth) is a bay on a section of the north Pembrokeshire coast, Wales, which is within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The bay is one of many in the much larger Cardigan Bay, and it stretches from Dinas Island (actually a peninsula) to the headland of Pen-y-bâl, two miles to the east. It is overlooked by the town of Newport and the River Nevern flows into the bay.

Fishguard Bay (Welsh: Bae Abergwaun) is a bay on the north Pembrokeshire coast, Wales. It opens north into Cardigan Bay and features rugged cliffs, tiny coves and the sheltered Fishguard Harbour and port of Lower Fishguard. Ferries from Fishguard cross to Ireland, and numerous activities are carried out in this holiday area.

The River Nevern (Welsh: Afon Nyfer) is a river in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Its source is north of the village of Crymych and its length is about 11 miles (18 km) to its estuary at Newport, Pembrokeshire.

Cemais Is Nyfer was a mediaeval commote in the Dyfed cantref of Cemais, Wales. It consisted of the territory between the rivers Nyfer and Teifi, and comprised the parishes of Eglwyswrw, Monington, St Dogmaels, Llanfair-Nant-Gwyn, Llantood, Moylgrove and Bayvil, and parts of Nevern and Meline in what is now Pembrokeshire. Its area was about 100 km2 and its civil and ecclesiastical headquarters were at Nevern. The commote was made part of the Norman March in the 12th century, and had at least five Norman castles (Nevern, Pen-yr-allt, Eglwyswrw, Llain Fawr and Dyffryn Mawr). It ceased to be significant at the time of the Laws in Wales Acts 1535–1542, its functions being taken over by the Hundred of Cemais. It is in the predominantly Welsh-speaking north of Pembrokeshire.

Llanychaer (English: church on the Aer, a tributary of the River Gwaun) is a small rural village and parish in the community of Cwm Gwaun, north Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of the port of Fishguard.

Newport Cliffs is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) lying a little to the north of Newport in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. It has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest since January 1954 in an attempt to protect its fragile biological elements. The site has an area of 48.23 hectares (119.2 acres) and is managed by Natural Resources Wales.

Esgyrn Bottom is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. It has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest since January 1957 in an attempt to protect its fragile biological and geological elements. The site has an area of 49.9 hectares (123 acres) and is managed by Natural Resources Wales.
