Vinkenkade

Groenlandsekade is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, about 4 km northeast of Vinkeveen. Groenlandsekade consists of a single road, parallel to the A2 highway Amsterdam-Utrecht. The road is situated on an embankment ("kade" in Dutch), which forms the northeast shore of the lake area Vinkeveensche Plassen. Until his death in 2004, the popular Dutch singer André Hazes lived here. It was first mentioned between 1839 and 1859 as "De Vinkenkade of Groenland". The etymology is unclear. Groenlandsekade is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Vinkeveen. There are no place name signs. Groenlandsekade consists of about 75 houses.

Baambrugge is a village on the river Angstel in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen and lies about 14 km southeast of Amsterdam. In 2001 the village of Baambrugge had 925 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.21 km² and contained 365 residences. The statistical area "Baambrugge", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1000.

Baambrugse Zuwe is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, northeast of Vinkeveen. The hamlet consists of one road, close to 4 km long, going straight through the lake area the Vinkeveense Plassen. It was first mentioned in 1851 as Vinkeveensche-Zuwe (De), and means side-wards dike belonging to Baambrugge (originally Vinkeveen). Baambrugse Zuwe is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Vinkeveen. There are no place name signs, and it consists of about 240 houses.

Abcoude (Dutch pronunciation: [ɑpˈkʌudə] (listen)) is a town and former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. Since 2011 it has been part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen.

Abcoude-Proostdij (sometimes called "Abcoude-Proosdij" or "Abcoude-Proostdij en Aasdom") is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. Abcoude-Proostdij covered the northern part of the current municipality of Abcoude, including the village of Abcoude itself. Abcoude-Proostdij was a heerlijkheid (manor) owned by the chapter of the St. Pieter in Utrecht. When the current municipal system was introduced in the Netherlands in 1812, it became a municipality under the name "Abcoude", but it was changed to "Abcoude-Proostdij" in 1815. In 1941, the municipalities of Abcoude-Proostdij and Abcoude-Baambrugge merged, to form the present municipality of Abcoude.

The Angstel is a small river between Abcoude and Loenersloot in the Netherlands, about halfway between Amsterdam and Utrecht. The Angstel is about 6 km (3.75 mi) long and connects the Gein and Holendrecht rivers with the Aa and Winkel rivers. East of the Angstel is the Amsterdam–Rhine Canal. Originally the Angstel was a tributary to the Utrechtse Vecht. The river marks the border of the municipality De Ronde Venen. Along the river are several Buitenplaats and the castle of Loenersloot. There are four bridges over the river: the Dorpsbrug Baambrugge in Baambrugge, and the Hulksbrug, the Heinkuitenbrug and the Derde in Abcoude.

Loenersloot is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was a part of the former municipality of Loenen. Since 2011 it has made part of the new formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It lies about 12 km west of Hilversum. It is located on the Angstel River. Loenersloot used to be a separate municipality. In 1964, it merged with the neighbouring municipality of Loenen. Castle Loenersloot is located in the village.

Oukoop is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht, and lies about 14 km west of Hilversum. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1217 as Aldencoep, and means "old (peat) concession". In 1840, Oukoop was home to 111 people.

Vinkeveen is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen, and lies about 18 km south of Amsterdam. Vinkeveen used to be a separate municipality. It merged with Waverveen in 1841, to form the municipality Vinkeveen en Waverveen. In 1989 there was a reorganisation of local governments, and Vinkeveen became a part of De Ronde Venen.Vinkeveen is best known for the Vinkeveense Plassen (Lakes of Vinkeveen), an area of lakes and sand islands east of the village. It is an important recreational area, with facilities for swimming, diving and yachting. A permit is required for recreational diving in the lake. There is a marina on the north shore of the lakes.

Stokkelaarsbrug is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen, and lies about 12 km south of Amsterdam. It is located on the border with the province North Holland, where the small river Winkel joins the Oude Waver. It was first mentioned in 1575 as Stoppelaers brug, and is named after the bridge. The first part is unclear. Stokkelaarsbrug is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Waverveen. It has no place name signs, and consists of about 20 houses.

Loenen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlunə(n)] ) is a former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. It was in the Vechtstreek area. On January 1, 2011, Loenen merged with Breukelen and Maarssen to form Stichtse Vecht.
