Abcoude is a railway station located in Abcoude, Netherlands.

Abcoude (Dutch pronunciation: [ɑpˈkʌudə] (listen)) is a town and former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. Since 2011 it has been part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen.

Baambrugge is a village on the river Angstel in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen and lies about 14 km southeast of Amsterdam. In 2001 the village of Baambrugge had 925 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.21 km² and contained 365 residences. The statistical area "Baambrugge", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1000.

Vinkenkade is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, about 5 km northeast of Vinkeveen. Vinkenkade consists of a single road, parallel to the A2 highway Amsterdam-Utrecht. The road is situated on a quay ("kade" in Dutch), which forms the northeast shore of the lake area Vinkeveensche Plassen. It was first mentioned between 1839 and 1859 as "De Vinkenkade of Groenland", and means "quay with inferior peat". Vinkenkade is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Vinkeveen. Vinkenkade has no place name signs, and consists of about 120 houses and about 310 holiday homes.

The Academic Medical Center (Dutch: Academisch Medisch Centrum), or AMC, is the university hospital affiliated with the University of Amsterdam. It is one of the largest and leading hospitals of the Netherlands, located in the Bijlmer neighborhood in the most south-eastern part of the city of Amsterdam. AMC consistently ranks among the top 50 medical schools in the world.

Amsterdam Holendrecht is a railway and metro station in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The station opened on 14 December 2008. Before that date Holendrecht was just a station on the Amsterdam Metro network which was opened on 16 October 1977 and is now served by two lines, the 50 and 54. It is located in Amsterdam-Zuidoost and it lies on the Amsterdam - Utrecht main line, between Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA and Abcoude. The station is near the Academic Medical Center.

Gaasperplas is an artificial lake used for recreational purposes south-east of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Gaasperplas was created with the extraction of sand for the construction of the Bijlmer. At its deepest the lake is 35 metres deep. It was the setting for the 1982 Floriade landscape and flower show, and the Eastern end of the lake is surrounded by parks and woodlands that once formed part of the event. The lake hosts a Sailing club, Canoe, Windsurfing and Dragon Boat facilities, is popular with anglers, and has a sheltered public beach on the south shore. The section for naturism (officially since 2005) lies on the northern side. One of Amsterdam's principal campsites is located in the area. It is not connected to the navigable canals system, and has a prohibition against the use of motorised boats; these two factors contribute towards a good water quality and abundance of wildlife. A public slipway is available for non-motorised pleasure and fishing craft. One of Amsterdam's metro lines terminates at the station of the same name located near the north shore of the lake.

Gaasperdam is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands in the Zuidoost (southeastern) borough of the city.

The Angstel is a small river between Abcoude and Loenersloot in the Netherlands, about halfway between Amsterdam and Utrecht. The Angstel is about 6 km (3.75 mi) long and connects the Gein and Holendrecht rivers with the Aa and Winkel rivers. East of the Angstel is the Amsterdam–Rhine Canal. Originally the Angstel was a tributary to the Utrechtse Vecht. The river marks the border of the municipality De Ronde Venen. Along the river are several Buitenplaats and the castle of Loenersloot. There are four bridges over the river: the Dorpsbrug Baambrugge in Baambrugge, and the Hulksbrug, the Heinkuitenbrug and the Derde in Abcoude.

Amsterdam-Zuidoost (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɑmstərdɑmˈzœyt.oːst]; "Amsterdam-Southeast") is a borough (stadsdeel) of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It consists of four residential neighborhoods—Bijlmermeer, Venserpolder, Gaasperdam and Driemond—as well as the Amstel III/Bullewijk Business Park and the Amsterdam Arena entertainment and shopping district. Geographically, Amsterdam-Zuidoost is an exclave of Amsterdam as it does not border any of the other boroughs. As of 2013, Amsterdam-Zuidoost had almost 84,000 inhabitants.
