Loenen

Loenen aan de Vecht (or just Loenen) is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was the main village in the former municipality of Loenen. Since 2011 it has become part of the newly formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It lies about 10 km west of Hilversum.

Loenen-Kronenburg was a Dutch municipality from 1817 to '19. Its former territory is now part of Loenen in the province of Utrecht. From 1814 to '17, the municipality of Loenen lay partly in the province of Holland and partly that of Utrecht. In 1817 the portion in Holland became the separate municipality of Loenen-Kronenburg. In 1819, the boundaries of the province of Utrecht were enlarged to encompass Loenen-Kronenburg, which was subsequently merged back into Loenen.

Tante Koosje is a restaurant located in Loenen aan de Vecht in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1998-2003 and 2006–2012.Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 14 out of 20 points.Head chef of Tante Koosje is Roland Veldhuijzen. In 2007, he managed to retain the star awarded to Sidney Heinze in 2006.The building is a Rijksmonument.

Mijnden is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was a part of the former municipality of Loenen. Since 2011 it has made part of the new formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht and lies about 12 km west of Hilversum. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1235 as Minden. The etymology is unclear. The postal authorities have placed it under Nieuwersluis. In 1840, it was home to 270 people.

Vreeland (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈvreːlɑnt]) is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was a part of the former municipality of Loenen. Since 2011 it has been part of the new formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It is located on the river Vecht, about 2 km north of Loenen aan de Vecht. It received city rights in 1265. In 2015, the village celebrates the 650th year of its foundation. Vreeland is on the provincial road Vinkeveen-Hilversum (N201). Until 1964, Vreeland was a separate municipality.In 2001, the village of Vreeland had 1339 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.30 km², and contained 557 residences. The statistical area "Vreeland", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1600.

Loenersloot is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was a part of the former municipality of Loenen. Since 2011 it has made part of the new formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It lies about 12 km west of Hilversum. It is located on the Angstel River. Loenersloot used to be a separate municipality. In 1964, it merged with the neighbouring municipality of Loenen. Castle Loenersloot is located in the village.

De Nederlanden is a restaurant and hotel located in Vreeland in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the years 1958 and 1959 and one or two Michelin stars in the period 1999 to present. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 17.0 out of 20 points.It was one of the founders of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise in 1967. In 2011 the restaurant was not a member. De Nederlanden is a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

The Angstel is a small river between Abcoude and Loenersloot in the Netherlands, about halfway between Amsterdam and Utrecht. The Angstel is about 6 km (3.75 mi) long and connects the Gein and Holendrecht rivers with the Aa and Winkel rivers. East of the Angstel is the Amsterdam–Rhine Canal. Originally the Angstel was a tributary to the Utrechtse Vecht. The river marks the border of the municipality De Ronde Venen. Along the river are several Buitenplaats and the castle of Loenersloot. There are four bridges over the river: the Dorpsbrug Baambrugge in Baambrugge, and the Hulksbrug, the Heinkuitenbrug and the Derde in Abcoude.

Scheendijk is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht, and lies about 10 km northwest of Utrecht. Scheendijk is found in an area known for its lakes and ribbed sand islands, called the Loosdrechtse Plassen, which many tourists visit every year. The lake area is dotted with houses along embankments with yachting marinas.It was first mentioned in 1746 as De Scheyding, and means the division dike. The postal authorities have placed it under Breukelen. Scheendijk has its own place name signs.

Baambrugge is a village on the river Angstel in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen and lies about 14 km southeast of Amsterdam. In 2001 the village of Baambrugge had 925 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.21 km² and contained 365 residences. The statistical area "Baambrugge", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1000.

Groenlandsekade is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, about 4 km northeast of Vinkeveen. Groenlandsekade consists of a single road, parallel to the A2 highway Amsterdam-Utrecht. The road is situated on an embankment ("kade" in Dutch), which forms the northeast shore of the lake area Vinkeveensche Plassen. Until his death in 2004, the popular Dutch singer André Hazes lived here. It was first mentioned between 1839 and 1859 as "De Vinkenkade of Groenland". The etymology is unclear. Groenlandsekade is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Vinkeveen. There are no place name signs. Groenlandsekade consists of about 75 houses.

Nieuwer-Ter-Aa is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht (province). It is a part of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht, and lies about 13 km northwest of Utrecht.
