All Saints Church is in Raby Road, Thornton Hough, Merseyside, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Deanery of Wirral, South, the archdeaconry of Chester, and the diocese of Chester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Thornton Hough () is a village on the Wirral Peninsula, in Merseyside, England, of pre-Conquest origins. The village grew during the ownership of Joseph Hirst into a small model village and was later acquired by William Lever, founder of Lever Brothers, the predecessor of Unilever. Thornton Hough is roughly 10 miles (16 km) from Liverpool and 12 miles (19 km) from Chester. Administratively, it is part of the Clatterbridge Ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral and is in the parliamentary constituency of Wirral South. At the 2001 census, Thornton Hough had 770 inhabitants.

Wirral Urban District was an urban district in Cheshire, England from 1933 to 1974. It was created from part of the disbanded Wirral Rural District and covered an area in the south-west of the Wirral Peninsula. The civil parishes of Barnston, Gayton, Heswall cum Oldfield, Irby, Pensby, and Thurstaston were entirely within its boundaries. Additionally, the district encompassed parts of Arrowe, Brimstage and Thornton Hough civil parishes.On 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, it was abolished and its area absorbed into the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral of the metropolitan county of Merseyside.

Thornton Manor is a large manor house in the village of Thornton Hough, Wirral, Merseyside, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The house was first built in the middle of the 19th century and has been altered and extended in a number of phases since. From 1888 to the end of the 20th century the house was occupied by the Viscounts Leverhulme.

Raby (locally ) is a hamlet and former civil parish, in the Wirral district, in the county of Merseyside, England, on the Wirral Peninsula. It is located within the Clatterbridge Ward. The settlement is within the parliamentary constituency of Wirral South. Raby is situated approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) to the north east of the town of Neston and 5 km (3.1 mi) south west of Bebington, and close to Merseyside's boundary with Cheshire. The hamlet of Raby Mere is located 3.6 km (2.2 mi) to the east. At the time of the United Kingdom Census 2001, Raby had a total population of 100.

Wirral Rural District was a rural district on the Wirral Peninsula in Cheshire, England from 1894 to 1933. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from the Wirral Rural Sanitary District. From the beginning of the twentieth century, some civil parishes were transferred to the control of neighbouring local authorities. Netherpool, Whitby and Overpool had become part of Ellesmere Port Urban District by 1911. Landican, Prenton and Thingwall were absorbed into Birkenhead County Borough in 1928.Wirral Rural District was abolished on 1 April 1933 under a County Review Order, with the remaining civil parishes being split between Bebington Urban District, Birkenhead County Borough, Ellesmere Port Urban District, Hoylake Urban District, Neston Urban District, Wallasey County Borough and the new Wirral Urban District.As of 2023 the area of the former rural district is divided between the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in Merseyside and the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester in Cheshire.

Brimstage Hall and Tower is a Grade I listed 14th century building located in Brimstage, Wirral, England. The building is composed of a 16th-century hall; rebuilt on the site of a former 12th century hall, as well as a connecting tower built in 1398. Today the area has been redeveloped, with the building's courtyard converted into restaurants and gift shops.

Wirral South is a constituency in Merseyside, England represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament by Alison McGovern of the Labour Party since 2010.

Clatterbridge is a hamlet on the Wirral Peninsula, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, England. It is to the south-west of Bebington and close to the M53 motorway. Clatterbridge is also the name of a local government ward, which includes Brimstage, Raby, Raby Mere, Thornton Hough, Storeton, Spital and the western fringes of Bromborough and Eastham. At the 2001 census, the total population of the ward was 16,906, falling to 14,411 at the 2011 census. The hamlet of Clatterbridge only had a recorded resident population of 30 in 2001.

Brimstage (locally ) is a village in the centremost part of the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside, England. It is approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Heswall and 3 miles (4.8 km) south west of Bebington. Administratively, it is within the Clatterbridge Ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral and is in the parliamentary constituency of Wirral South. At the time of the 2001 census, Brimstage had a population of 100.

Claire House Children's Hospice is a children's hospice in Merseyside. The hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children from 0–23 years by providing specialist nursing care and emotional support. It has provided care for children and young people across Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales since it opened in 1998. The organisation has two sites: a hospice in Bebington, the Wirral, and the Hub in West Derby, Liverpool, that offers day care. Support can be provided at Claire House or at home and can be for the child, young person or for family members. The charity has featured on Children in Need in 2011, 2014 and 2016. It also has high-profile supporters including Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney. As of 2017, the charity is providing care for over 200 babies, children and young people and supporting more than 200 bereaved families. In July 2015 Claire House was rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. Claire House, Wirral is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and offers a range of services. Children can have fun in the multi-sensory room, art room, hydrotherapy pool and Jacuzzi. There is a separate wing complete with bar, sound system and Xbox for teenagers and young adults. Claire House also provides end of life care, ensuring that a child's last days are as comfortable and memorable as possible. In 2016 the charity occupied a site in West Derby, Liverpool, that used to be a Carmelite Monastery. The Claire House Liverpool Hub opened in the summer of 2017, offering services such as counselling, holistic therapies and hospice to home support. Claire House hopes to one day open a new-state-of-the-art hospice on the site and reach out to more children in Merseyside.
