Clawton

Holsworthy was a railway station in Devon, England, on the now-closed railway line from Okehampton to Bude. It opened in 1879 to serve the market town of Holsworthy and closed in 1966, a victim of the Beeching Axe.

Hollacombe is a village and small civil parish in the local government district of Torridge, Devon, England. It lies about 3 miles south east of the town of Holsworthy and is surrounded clockwise from the north by the parishes of Cookbury, Ashwater, and Holsworthy Hamlets. In 2001 its population was 59, compared to 69 in 1901.The parish church, on a hilltop site, is dedicated to Saint Petroc and dates from the 14th century though it was subjected to heavy restoration in the 1880s. Its most notable feature is the saddleback roof to the tower, which is rare in Devon.

Tetcott is a civil parish, small settlement and former manor (once the home of the Arscotts of Tetcott) in Devon, England. The parish lies about five miles south of the town of Holsworthy and is bordered on the north by the parish of Clawton, on the east by a small part of Ashwater, and on the south by Luffincott. It forms part of the local government district of Torridge, and its western boundary is the River Tamar which forms the Cornish border. In 2001 its population was 110, half that of a century earlier (220 in 1901).The settlement of Tetcott itself consists almost solely of the manor house and parish church of Holy Cross, but there are other hamlets in the parish, the largest of which is Lana about half a mile to the south-east.

St Peter's and St Paul's Church is a grade II* listed building and is the parish church of the small market town of Holsworthy, Devon, England. The present church, built in the early English style, dates from the mid-13th century. Renovations in the late 19th century included the complete rebuilding of the chancel, the addition of a north aisle and the renovation of the nave and south aisle. The 15th-century three-stage west tower is 85.75 feet (26.14 m) high and houses a set of eight bells and a carillon. The first building on the site was probably a Norman Oratory built c.1130 and demolished in c.1250. Remnants of the oratory have been incorporated into the south porch.

St James's Church in Luffincott, Devon, England was built in the 15th century. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is now a redundant church in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It was declared redundant on 1 May 1975, and was vested in the Trust on 19 December 1979.Some parts of the church are the original mediaeval structure however the tower was rebuilt in 1791 as part of a wider renovation.The interior includes Georgian sash windows and a simple 14th century granite font.

Holsworthy Community College is a co-educational secondary school located in Holsworthy in the English county of Devon.Previously a community school administered by Devon County Council, Holsworthy Community College became a foundation school on 31 August 2012 as part of a federation with Okehampton College. In January 2018 the school converted to academy status and is now sponsored by the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust. Holsworthy Community College offers GCSEs, BTECs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils. The school was awarded specialist Technology College status on 1 September 2006 which funded a science and technology extension to the building.

Holsworthy Association Football Club is a football club based in Holsworthy, Devon, England. They play in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East.

Holsworthy is a market town and civil parish in the Torridge district of Devon, England, some 36 miles (58 km) west of Exeter. The River Deer, a tributary of the River Tamar, forms the western boundary of the parish, which includes the village of Brandis Corner. According to the 2011 census the population of Holsworthy was 2,641; it was estimated at 3,287 in 2019.

Ashwater is a village and civil parish in the Torridge district of Devon, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 651 that had risen to 673 by the 2011 census. It is close to the Cornish border, and is about 10 miles north of Launceston.The church is thirteenth century, with fifteenth-century windows, with an arcade that mixes the two periods. The decorated font is Norman, described by Mee as "a great treasure". The former rectory is a Grade II listed building.

Northcott is a small settlement and civil parish in the far west of Devon, England. It lies about seven miles south of the town of Holsworthy and forms part of the local government district of Torridge. It is bordered on the north by the parish of Luffincott and on the east and south by the parish of St Giles on the Heath. Its western border follows the River Tamar which forms the county boundary with Cornwall. In 2001 its population was 26, down from 60 in 1901. Whilst it is administered as a separate parish in Devon, for ecclesiastical purposes it is linked with the parish of Boyton across the River Tamar in Cornwall, and it has been transferred from one county to the other several times.Boyton Mill is a stone building near the river that dates from the early 12th century and retains its machinery and an overshot waterwheel. In Northcott Wood, south of the mill, is a likely Iron Age defended enclosure that overlooks the river.

Luffincott is a civil parish in the far west of Devon, England. It forms part of the local government district of Torridge and lies about six miles south of the town of Holsworthy. The parish is surrounded clockwise from the north by the parishes of Tetcott, Ashwater, St Giles on the Heath and Northcott. Its western border follows the River Tamar which forms the county boundary with Cornwall.The A388 road between Holsworthy and Launceston runs just inside the eastern border of the parish. In 2001 its population was 45, down from 62 in 1901 and for ecclesiastical purposes, it is united with Tetcott.The name Luffincott has a variety of early forms, first appearing in documents as Leghygnecoth′ in 1242 with variants such as Loghingecote (1285), Lughyngcote (1330), Loghynton que vocatur Loghyngecote (1346) and Luffencote (1577). Its derivation is cot (cottage or small settlement) of Luhha′s people.The manor is believed to have been the origin of the "Lippingcott" Devonshire gentry family (which later moved to Wibbery (mod: Webbery) in the parish of Alverdiscott), whose surname is a corruption of the name of this manor.St James's Church, Luffincott is a Grade I listed building, declared redundant in 1975. It stands near to the farmyard of Luffincott Barton, a mid-19th-century farmhouse and out-buildings which were part of the Tetcott estate. According to Pevsner, Luffincott Barton is the only other building of interest in the parish.
