Tutbury and Hatton railway station

Hatton is a village and civil parish in South Derbyshire, England. It is 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Burton upon Trent, 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Derby and 24 miles (39 km) south-east of Stoke-on-Trent. The population of the civil parish as of the 2011 census was 2,785. It adjoins Tutbury to the south.

The Church of St Mary at Marston has the oldest bell in Derbyshire, which was cast in Leicester in 1366 and inscribed with the words "Hail Mary" by John de Stafford.

The Scropton Tramway was a British industrial 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge railway connecting several gypsum mines with the North Staffordshire Railway station at Scropton in Staffordshire. It was also used to transport munitions during World War II.

The population of the civil parish at the 2001 Census was 728 increasing to 854 at the 2011 Census.The Domesday book records that in 1086 Henry de Ferrers held a manor here.The Church of England parish church of Saint Paul, Scropton contains late 15th and early 16th century monuments. However, the church was rebuilt in 1855–56 under the direction of the Gothic Revival architect Benjamin Ferrey. The village of Scropton has no shop or pub but it does have a large house called the old school house.

Rolleston Hall was a country house in Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire. Originally built in the early 17th century for Sir Edward Mosley, it had been substantially renovated after a fire in 1871. It was the seat of the Mosley family until the house was demolished in 1928.

Scropton railway station was a short-lived railway station in Derbyshire, England. The railway line between Uttoxeter and Burton-on-Trent was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1848 and a station to serve the village of Scropton was opened at about the same time (the actual date is imprecise but the station was mentioned in timetables issued in 1849–50).The station remained open only for a short time before being closed at the beginning of 1866. After closure the station site was used for exchange sidings between the narrow gauge Scropton Tramway and the NSR.
