Tutbury Castle

St Mary's Church, Tutbury, is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England in Tutbury, Staffordshire.

Tutbury is a village and civil parish in Staffordshire, England. It is 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Burton upon Trent and 20 miles (32 km) south of the Peak District. The village has a population of about 3,076 residents. It adjoins Hatton to the north on the Staffordshire–Derbyshire border.

Tutbury and Hatton Station is a railway station in England, served by trains on the Crewe to Derby Line, which is a Community rail line known as the North Staffordshire line. The station is owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway.

It is 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Burton upon Trent, 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Derby and 24 miles (39 km) south-east of Stoke-on-Trent. The population of the civil parish as of the 2011 census was 2,785. It adjoins Tutbury to the south.

The Scropton Tramway was a British industrial 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge railway connecting several gypsum mines with the North Staffordshire Railway station at Scropton in Staffordshire. It was also used to transport munitions during World War II.

Foston and Scropton is a civil parish in the Dove valley in South Derbyshire. It includes the village of Scropton and hamlet of Foston. The population of the civil parish at the 2001 Census was 728 increasing to 854 at the 2011 Census.The Domesday book records that in 1086 Henry de Ferrers held a manor here.The Church of England parish church of Saint Paul, Scropton contains late 15th and early 16th century monuments. However, the church was rebuilt in 1855–56 under the direction of the Gothic Revival architect Benjamin Ferrey. The village of Scropton has no shop or pub but it does have a large house called the old school house.

Scropton railway station was a short-lived railway station in Derbyshire, England. The railway line between Uttoxeter and Burton-on-Trent was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1848 and a station to serve the village of Scropton was opened at about the same time (the actual date is imprecise but the station was mentioned in timetables issued in 1849–50).The station remained open only for a short time before being closed at the beginning of 1866. After closure the station site was used for exchange sidings between the narrow gauge Scropton Tramway and the NSR.

It is a predominantly rural area with few residences or farms, and had a population of 55 residents in 2021. The parish is 110 miles (180 km) north west of London, 8 miles (13 km) south west of the county city of Derby, and 5 miles (8.0 km) north of the nearest market town of Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire. It shares a border with the parishes of Church Broughton, Hatton, Hilton, Marston on Dove, Sutton on the Hill, as well as Tutbury.

Anslow is a village and civil parish in the East Staffordshire district of Staffordshire, England, about three miles [4.8 km] north-west of Burton upon Trent. According to the 2001 census, the parish, which includes Anslow Gate had a population of 669, increased to 805 at the 2011 census.John Lanham is currently Chairman of the Parish. The village has a pub, The Bell Inn, which serves food daily. However, it is often thought to have two, but the popular Burnt Gate (now closed) was at 'Rough Hay' about a mile south of the settlement.

St Mary's Church, Marston on Dove is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England in Marston on Dove, Derbyshire.

Rolleston Hall was a country house in Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire. Originally built in the early 17th century for Sir Edward Mosley, it had been substantially renovated after a fire in 1871. It was the seat of the Mosley family until the house was demolished in 1928.
