Zegveld

Rietveld is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Woerden, and lies about 3 km west of Woerden. Rietveld was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1964, when it became part of Woerden. During that time, it was part of the province South Holland.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1156 as Retfelt, and means "field with reed". There are no place name signs. In 1840, Rietveld was home to 235 people.

Achttienhoven is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Nieuwkoop, and lies about 7 km north of Woerden. The statistical area "Achttienhoven", which also includes the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 130.Between 1817 and 1855, Achttienhoven was a separate municipality, sometimes called "Achttienhoven en de Bosch".The nature reserve De Haeck lies northwest of the hamlet.

De Meije or Bodegraafse Meije is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland and has a second part, de Zegveldse or Stichtse Meije in the province of Utrecht. The first is a part of the former municipality of Bodegraven, and lies about 7 km northwest of Woerden. Bodegraven has made part of the new municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk since 2011. The second is part of the municipality of Woerden. A third part, across the little river De Meije, belongs to the municipality Nieuwkoop. The Bodegraafse "Meije", which also includes the surrounding farmlands, has a population of around 420.

Kalsbeek College is a secondary school in the village of Woerden, Netherlands. The school is split between two sites and teaches all forms of Dutch secondary education. The Schilderspark site is on Jozef Israëlslaan and the Bredius site on Van kempensingel. The school has won the 538 Schoolawards in 2012, an election by the Dutch radio station Radio 538.

Nieuwerbrug (also Nieuwerbrug aan de Rijn) is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the former municipality of Bodegraven, and lies about five kilometres west of Woerden. Bodegraven has become part of the municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk in 2011. Nieuwerbrug aan de Rijn is the spelling since 2009 to distinguish from Nieuwebrug in Friesland.Nieuwerbrug is a dike village which developed along the bridge over the Oude Rijn which was built in 1510. The bridge became a toll bridge from 1651 to the present. A little tower was built next to the bridge between 1913 and 1914.

Barwoutswaarder is a neighbourhood of Woerden and a hamlet in the municipality of Woerden in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located to the west of the city of Woerden. Nowadays it's part of the urban area of Woerden and a neighbourhood and industrial zone.Until 1964, Barwoutswaarder was a separate municipality (then in the province of South Holland). The municipality was created in 1817; between 1812 and 1817, the village was part of Waarder.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1179 as Berenwerde. The etymology is unclear. In 1840, it was home to 366 people.

In 2001, the village of Woerdense Verlaat had 303 inhabitants. Its built-up area was 0.067 km², and contained 113 residences. The statistical area "Woerdense Verlaat", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 690.

Nieuwerbrug is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Bodegraven, and lies about 5 km west of Woerden. The statistical area "Nieuwerbrug", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1270.

's-Gravesloot is a former hamlet and municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was located between Kamerik and Woerden. 's-Gravesloot was a heerlijkheid (manor) owned by the province of Utrecht until 1751, when it was sold to a private owner. When the current municipal system was introduced in the Netherlands in 1812, it became part of Kamerik. When that municipality was split into three parts, 's-Gravesloot became a separate municipality again. In 1857, Kamerik-Mijzijde, Kamerik-Houtdijken, and 's-Gravesloot merged again, to form the new municipality of Kamerik. Kamerik and 's-Gravesloot are now part of Woerden.The municipality of 's-Gravesloot consisted of a polder with the same name, covered an area of 3.23 km2, and contained the hamlet of 's-Gravesloot. It had a population of about 110.

Slikkendam is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Nieuwkoop, and lies about 8 km north of Woerden.

De Windhond is a windmill in the city of Woerden, Netherlands. The mill was built in 1755 on an artificial hill of 9.3 metres (31 ft) in height that was part of the defensive enclosure (stadswal) of the ancient city. The mill itself is 5.7 metres (19 ft) high. The windmill sail spans 25.2 metres (83 ft). The building is a prominent feature defining the skyline of the town. It is registered as a national monument.
