Bayard is a historical community of Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida, US. Originally platted in 1884, the community was a busy stopping point for tourists and industry through the early part of the 20th century. In the early 2000s, the City of Jacksonville began developing The Bayard Community Plan in an effort to preserve the character of Bayard as Jacksonville expands towards the community.

Julington Creek Plantation is an unincorporated community in the larger community of St. Johns, St. Johns County, Florida, United States. It consists of several large neighborhoods, and is located along Race Track Road east of State Road 13, across from Fruit Cove (which is also the name of a census-designated place that includes Julington Creek Plantation). St. Johns County is the second-wealthiest county in Florida. Other amenities include 130 lakes, 1200 acres of nature trails, parks, playgrounds, and a top-rated golf course. Centrally located on the east side of the St. Johns River with the intracoastal waterway to the west, it houses its own boat marina and water view restaurants. Mickelers Landing Beach is east of the neighborhood.

Julington Creek is a stream in Duval County, Florida, near Jacksonville. Durbin Creek is a tributary. Julington Creek feeds into the St Johns River widening out into Old Bull Bay. Both are navigable by paddlecraft and has a marina on it.Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote about her visits to the creek while she was living in Mandarin, Florida, in Palmetto Leaves (1873).

Community Hospice & Palliative Care, also known simply as Community Hospice, is a not-for-profit hospice, which has served the Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan Area since its inception in 1979. The organization was the first hospice program in Northeast Florida and one of a few operating programs in the state when Florida began granting hospice licenses in 1981; Community Hospice received their license in 1983 and in 2008, assisted nearly 1,000 patients daily and more than 6,000 patients a year.

Switzerland is an unincorporated community in northwest St. Johns County, Florida, United States, adjacent to Fruit Cove. Along with Fruit Cove, the community is associated to the zip code 32259. Julington Creek or Julington Creek Plantation is part of Fruit Cove. For newer residents, the area of Fruit Cove and Switzerland is called (Saint Johns). Switzerland is along the eastern bank of the St. Johns River, across from Green Cove Springs and Middleburg in Clay County, and is south of Jacksonville. The name derives from the late 18th century and early 19th century New Switzerland Plantation of Francis Philip Fatio, which was established between 1771, when Fatio arrived in Florida, and 1774, when Fatio moved from the New Castle Plantation to New Switzerland.In the 1970s and 1980s, the Switzerland area had one K-12 school named Julington Creek Elementary. In 1981, Allen D Nease Jr-Sr High School was opened and three feeder schools, Julington Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary and Ponte Vedra Elementary 7-12th graders moved to Nease Jr-Sr High School. There are many schools in the Switzerland area. The main elementary schools are Hickory Creek Elementary and Cunningham Creek Elementary. The middle school is Switzerland Point Middle School, and the high school is Bartram Trail High School.
