Sawyer Memorial Universalist Church

The National Jazz Museum in Harlem is a museum dedicated to preservation and celebration of the jazz history of Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. The idea for the museum was conceived in 1995. The museum was founded in 1997 by Leonard Garment, counsel to two U.S. presidents, and an accomplished jazz saxophonist, Abraham David Sofaer, a former U.S. district judge who gave the initial gift in honor of his brother-in-law Richard J. Scheuer, Jr., and matching funds from the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation. For more than 15 years, the museum was based in East Harlem at 104 East 126th Street. On February 1, 2016, the museum re-opened in a new space on the ground floor of 58 West 129th Street in Central Harlem with approximately 1900 square feet of exhibition space.

Arthur F. Collins (1937 – October 9, 1965) was a 28-year-old man who was murdered in a New York City subway after defending two women being assaulted by an intoxicated man. Collins's wife soon obtained employment, but in order to work, she had to send their daughter to live with relatives in Europe. Less than two months after Collins's wife was widowed, public outcry resulted in New York City Mayor Wagner signing a "good Samaritan" bill into law. In August 1966, New York State Governor Nelson Rockefeller signed into law a bill that would provide state compensation to eligible crime victims. Rockefeller said this law was the result of the murder of Collins. This law transitioned to the formation of the New York State Office of Victims Services, an agency that provides compensation to all innocent victims of all crimes.

The 125th Street station is an express station with four tracks and two island platforms. It is the northernmost Manhattan station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Lexington Avenue and East 125th Street (also known as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) in East Harlem, it is served by the 4 and 6 trains at all times, the 5 train at all times except late nights, and the <6> train during weekdays in peak direction. This station was constructed as part of the Dual Contracts by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company and opened in 1918. A planned northern extension of the Second Avenue Subway would connect with this station and with the Metro-North Railroad's Harlem–125th Street station, located one block west.

The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) is a nonprofit organization based in East Harlem in New York City that serves as an Afro-Caribbean center of culture and community for members of the African diaspora.

The Children's Storefront was a tuition-free private school in Harlem, founded in 1966 by the poet Ned O'Gorman. It was the subject of a 1988 documentary film, The Children's Storefront, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.

The Columbus Theatre was a theatre located at 114 E. 125th Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue. It was the second theatre built by theatre impresario Oscar Hammerstein I. The architects were J. B. McElfatrick & Sons.The Columbus Theatre originally sat 1,649 people and was a major venue for musical theatre, vaudeville, and minstrel shows in Upper Manhattan. The theatre also occasionally served as an opera house, and sometimes presented plays ranging from classic works by William Shakespeare to new plays written by Americans. It opened in October 1890. The theatre was sold to F. F. Proctor in 1899 and was then renamed Proctor's 125th Street Theatre. It was later re-titled Keith & Proctor's 125th Street Theatre about a year later when Proctor formed a partnership with Benjamin Franklin Keith. After that partnership fell apart in 1911, it was once again known as Proctor's 125th Street Theatre or simply Proctor's Theatre. It was purchased by RKO sometime in the 1930s, and operated as a move theatre entitled RKO Proctor's 125th Street Theatre until it closed in 1957.

The Harlem–125th Street station is a commuter rail stop serving the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines. It is located at East 125th Street and Park Avenue in East Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. The station also serves as an important transfer point between the Metro-North trains and the New York City Subway's IRT Lexington Avenue Line (4, ​5, ​6, and <6> trains) for access to the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It is the only station besides Grand Central Terminal that serves all three lines east of the Hudson River. Trains leave for Grand Central Terminal, as well as to the Bronx and the northern suburbs, regularly.

The Mount Morris Bank Building, also referred to as the Corn Exchange Bank (Mount Morris Branch) and Corn Exchange Building, is an historic building in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, located at 81-85 East 125th Street on the northwest corner of Park Avenue. Although an architectural standout when new in 1883, by the late 1970s it was vacant, and remained so for three decades, vandalized and deteriorating. In 2009 the city demolished, for safety, most of what remained after a 1997 fire, but in 2012 a developer undertook to rebuild it for commercial occupancy, and the building reopened in May 2015. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, and was designated a New York City Landmark in 1993.

The Church of All Saints is a historic former Catholic church in the Archdiocese of New York, located at 47 East 129th Street, at the corner of Madison Avenue in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Built from 1883 to 1886 and designed by architects Renwick, Aspinwall and Russell – but attributed by historian Michael Henry Adams directly to James Renwick, Jr. – the church complex includes a parish house (1886–89) as well as a school (1902) designed by Renwick's nephew, William W. Renwick.The complex was designated a New York City landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in January 2007.On May 8, 2015, the parish was merged with that of St. Charles Borromeo, and on June 30, 2017, the church was deconsecrated.On January 23, 2021, the New York Post reported that the complex is to be sold, and a final sale at $11M was announced by Fr Greg Chisholm, SJ on April 1.

The 129th Street station was a transfer station on the IRT Third Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City, shared by elevated trains of both the Third Avenue Line and IRT Second Avenue Line. The next stop to the north was 133rd Street for the main line and Willis Avenue for the Willis Avenue spur, both of which were across a swing bridge above the Harlem River in the Bronx. The next stop to the south was 125th Street−Third Avenue for Third Avenue Line trains and 125th Street−Second Avenue for Second Avenue Line trains.

Chevrolet-Saturn of Harlem, Inc., was a car dealership in the East Harlem neighborhood in New York City. Originally touted as a minority-owned dealership and part of the only new-car facility in Harlem, it was abandoned by its original operator within months and was taken over by General Motors directly. On June 1, 2009, it was used as the lead company in the General Motors Chapter 11 reorganization filing in New York.

The New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) is a private podiatric medical college in Manhattan, New York. It is the oldest and second largest podiatric medical school in the United States.
