The Coseley School

Coseley railway station is located in the Coseley area of the borough of Dudley, West Midlands, England. It is situated on the Rugby-Birmingham-Stafford branch of the West Coast Main Line. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by West Midlands Trains.

Coseley ( KOHZ-lee) is a village in the Dudley Metropolitan Borough, in the West Midlands County, England. It is situated three miles (five kilometres) north of Dudley itself, on the border with Wolverhampton. Though it is a part of the Dudley North constituency. It also falls within the Wolverhampton South-East parliamentary constituency.

Christ Church is an Anglican church in Coseley, West Midlands, England, and in the Diocese of Worcester. It was built in 1830; the interior has many additions of the late 19th and early 20th century. It is Grade II listed.

Coseley Urban District was a local government district in Staffordshire which was created in 1894.It was made up of the villages of Brierley (now Bradley), Ettingshall and Coseley, which had previously been part of the ancient manor of Sedgley - the western section of which formed Sedgley Urban District.The urban district council was based at a building in the town centre. It began building houses in the 1920s to replace sub standard older housing and by 1962 had built over 2,000 properties, mostly houses but also flats and bungalows. The largest developments were at Woodcross and Lanesfield on new housing estate, while large sections of the Wallbrook, Princes End and Hurst Hill areas were redeveloped with new housing during the 1950s and 1960s. Coseley urban district ceased to exist in 1966 when, under recommendations of the Local Government Commission for England, it was divided between the County Boroughs of Dudley, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich. Most of the historic Ettingshall village was placed in Wolverhampton, while Brierley was roughly half split between Wolverhampton and West Bromwich, and the main Coseley area became part of Dudley. In 1974, these became part of the newly created West Midlands metropolitan county The former Coseley Urban District Council offices became redundant with the abolition of the local authority, and were demolished soon afterwards.

Woodsetton is an area of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough in the West Midlands of England, roughly 2.0 miles (3 km) northwest of Dudley Town Centre. Formerly in the Sedgley Urban District, a part of Woodsetton (which included Dudley Castle) was transferred into the Dudley County Borough in 1926 to allow for the building of the Priory Estate. This reorganisation also saw this part of the area transferred from Staffordshire to Worcestershire. The remainder of the urban district was transferred into an expanded Dudley borough in 1966. Modern-day Woodsetton now forms part of the electoral ward of Upper Gornal and Woodsetton. It is divided between the DY1 and DY3 postal districts. Of historical significance, Woodsetton is the birthplace of industrial pioneer Abraham Darby, who developed the process of smelting iron ore using coke. The main road through Woodsetton is the non-primary A457 running between Sedgley and Birmingham. Woodsetton is served by bus routes 81 and 229 connecting the area to Wolverhampton, Sedgley, Dudley and Bilston on a daily basis. Holden's Brewery, founded in 1915 by Edwin Holden, is based in Woodsetton on a site in George Street adjoining one of its pubs, the Park Inn. Woodsetton was struck by an F1/T2 tornado on 23 November 1981, as part of the record-breaking nationwide tornado outbreak on that day. The tornado later moved over Dudley town centre, causing moderate damage.

Holden's Brewery is a family-run English regional brewery. It was founded in 1915 at the Park Inn in Woodsetton, Dudley, in the West Midlands.

The BCN Main Line, or Birmingham Canal Navigations Main Line is the evolving route of the Birmingham Canal between Birmingham and Wolverhampton in England. The name Main Line was used to distinguish the main Birmingham to Wolverhampton route from the many other canals and branches built or acquired by the Birmingham Canal Navigations company.

Woodcross is a residential area of Coseley, West Midlands, England. It is set within the City of Wolverhampton, though the area traditionally existed within the boundaries of Sedgley and later Coseley until 1966.

Lanesfield is a district now within the boundaries of Wolverhampton, specifically in the city council's Spring Vale ward. Lanesfield lies within the Ancient Manor of Sedgley and was a rural village for many years until the growth of the Black Country's industries. Lanesfield's name originates from the Lane family who lived where the area now stands. Originally, Lanesfield was known as Lane's Field.

Mons Hill is a hill situated in Dudley, West Midlands, England. It is a wooded hill which straddles the border of Dudley and Sedgley, standing to the north of the much more famous Wren's Nest hill. It was originally situated within the borders of Sedgley (then in the county of Staffordshire), but to allow the development of nearby land as the Priory Estate in 1926 the borders were altered and the hill has since been within the boundaries of Dudley (then in Worcestershire). From 1965 until 1990, Mons Hill gave its name to a neighbouring secondary school which is now part of Dudley College. Its shared name with Mons Road in the Kates Hill area of Dudley is a coincidence, as that road's name was taken from the Battle of Mons during World War I.

Bradley ( BRAYD-lee) is a suburban village in the City of Wolverhampton, West Midlands County, England. It is located in the Bilston East ward.

Daisy Bank railway station was a station built by the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway in 1854 as Daisy Bank & Bradley station. It was situated on the Oxford-Worcester-Wolverhampton Line. The station closed in 1917 as a wartime economy measure before reopening in 1919, and closed permanently in 1962, though goods trains continued to pass through the site until the line closed completely on 22 September 1968.The cutting from the station site has since been filled in and is now a nature walk with the other side of the line still being in situ as a footpath until a large shrub has been placed to block off the trackbed towards Bilston West.
