Radway Green & Barthomley railway station

Millway railway station was a short lived railway station built by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway to serve ROF Radway Green in Cheshire. ROF Radway Green was opened in 1940 and was initially served by the nearby Radway Green & Barthomley railway station but a new station, consisting of an island platform, was constructed a few hundred yards east of Radway Green station to serve the factory directly. The station opened in 1942 and was initially as Mill Lane, in 1944 it was renamed Millway, a name it retained until closure in 1959.At its peak, in 1944, the station was served by 11 passenger trains a day bringing workers from, and returning them to various parts of Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield.

The White Lion is a public house in Barthomley, Cheshire, England, just off junction 16 of the M6. It was built in 1614, and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. Its thatched roof was damaged by a fire in 2013, but it re-opened later that year. In September 2023, its lease expired and the pub was closed for repairs.

St Bertoline's Church is in the village of Barthomley, Cheshire, England. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield and the deanery of Congleton.The church stands in the centre of the village, in an elevated position on Barrow Hill, which was an ancient burial ground. It was the scene of a massacre in the English Civil War. Raymond Richards considered it to be one of the most beautiful churches in the county, and believed it was the only one in England to be dedicated to Saint Bertoline. The church stands above the road and is reached by a flight of steps.

Barthomley is a village and ancient parish, and is now a civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. According to the 2001 and the 2011 census' the parish had a population of 202. The village is situated near junction 16 of the M6 motorway and by the border with Staffordshire. It is about three miles south-west of Alsager. The hamlet of Radway Green, location of a Royal Ordnance Factory, is within the parish, north-east of the village of Barthomley and just outside Alsager. There was a railway station in Radway Green, on the Crewe to Derby Line, as well as a station reserved for the factory at Millway. However, both of these are now closed. Radway Green and Barthomley station closed to goods traffic on 7 June 1964, followed by its closure to passengers on 7 November 1966.

Hassall Hall is a former manor house to the east of the village of Hassall, Cheshire, England. The house dates from the 17th century, and was re-fronted in the 19th century. It has since been divided into two houses. It is constructed in rendered brick and has a slate roof. The house has an H-plan. The entrance front is symmetrical, in two storeys, with five bays. The central three bays are recessed and the middle bay contains a doorway. The doorway is flanked by Tuscan pillars, and above the door is an open pediment enclosing a fanlight. The houses are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Alsager ( AWL-say-jər) is a town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. It is located to the north-west of Stoke-on-Trent and east of Crewe. The town's population was 13,389 at the 2021 census.Alsager has hosted an annual summer carnival since 1998; until June 2009, it was located in Milton Park, but it had since moved to the Alsager School playing fields to increase capacity, until moving back to Milton Park in 2017.In 2008, Alsager was awarded Fairtrade Town status by the Fairtrade Foundation.
