Open University Malaysia, abbreviated as OUM, is the 7th Malaysian private university and it is owned by the Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations (METEOR) Sdn. Bhd, a consortium of 11 Malaysian public universities. It leverages on the quality, prestige and capabilities of its consortium. The main campus is at Menara OUM, Kelana Centre Point Kelana Jaya. In addition to this, there are more than 30 learning centres throughout Malaysia, out of which 10 are regional learning centres. As the first open university in the country, OUM initially opened to 753 learners in 2001. A decade later, OUM has over 100,000 students in more than 50 academic programmes. The MQA Rating System for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia for 2011 (SETARA’11) has rated OUM as a Tier 5 (Excellent) institution.

Asia School of Business (ASB) is a partnership between MIT Sloan School of Management and Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia). The partnership is a business school offering business administration related courses in the form of a 20-month full-time MBA program and executive education classes for students from Malaysia and around the world. Through the partnership, MIT Sloan and Bank Negara collaborate on academic program design, curriculum design, organizational design, admissions, and the administration of the Asia School of Business.Courses at ASB are taught by MIT Sloan faculty and local ASB faculty, with the latter also serving as MIT Sloan International Faculty Fellows. Students study at both the MIT Sloan campus located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the ASB campus located in Kuala Lumpur.

Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) is an Indonesian international school in Kuala Lumpur. It goes up to SMA (senior high school/sixth form) level.

Putra Komuter station is a Malaysian commuter train halt in Kuala Lumpur named in part after the Putra World Trade Centre located nearby. The halt forms part of a common KTM Komuter railway line shared by both the Port Klang Line and the Seremban Line. The halt is also the northernmost station in the KTM Komuter network where trains from both lines stop.

Chow Kit is a suburb in central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located around Jalan Chow Kit (Chow Kit Road) and is enclosed by the parallel streets of Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. It is named after Loke Chow Kit (陸秋傑) a well-known miner, municipal councilor, public official, and also the first local owner of a department store - Chow Kit & Co – which was the largest in KL at the time. Today the area features a large Indonesian community and known as "Little Jakarta". The majority of Indonesia's Minangkabau, Javanese, and Acehnese open restaurants and as retailer. Recently, a small African community also lives there. There is a night market also known as Bundle Chow Kit along Lorong Haji Taib which is known for the sale of used clothing and accessories.

PWTC LRT station is a light rail transit (LRT) station in Kuala Lumpur that is served by the Ampang Line and Sri Petaling Line. PWTC stands for Putra World Trade Center which is a convention and exhibition centre in Kuala Lumpur. PWTC has become the preferred venue for local and international conventions, concerts and other prestigious events in Malaysia. The station is located at Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle and is only 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and within easy walking distance of a mall, restaurants, entertainment centres and 3 - 5 star hotels. Also, about a 400-metre walk from the station, there is the KA04 Putra Komuter station served by the Seremban Line and Port Klang Line. Sunway Putra Mall shopping complex is located right next to the station.

Sunway Putra Mall, previously known as The Mall or Putra Place, is a shopping mall located along Jalan Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated across the street from the Putra World Trade Centre (now WTC KL) and the Seri Pacific Hotel.

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (Malay: Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia, abbreviated SSM), is a statutory body formed under an Act of Parliament that regulates corporate and business affairs in Malaysia. The SSM was formed in 2002 under the Companies Commission of Malaysia Act 2001, assuming the functions of the Registrar of Companies and Registry of Business.The main purpose of SSM is to serve as an agency to incorporate companies and register businesses as well as to provide company and business information to the public. The commission launched SSM e-Info Services to allow information on companies and businesses obtainable via its website. As the leading authority for the improvement of corporate governance in Malaysia, the commission also handles monitoring and enforcement activities to ensure compliance with business registration and corporate legislation. In 2003, the SSM began a review of the Companies Act 1998, with the aim of simplifying the process of incorporation in Malaysia and reducing businesses' costs of compliance with Malaysian corporate law. This law was eventually replaced by Companies Act 2016, which carries some major changes such as only one director is needed to register the company as a Company Limited by Shares instead of two, heavier penalties on directors who do not comply with the Act, and Annual General Meeting (AGM) is no longer mandatory to be held by private companies.Business owners can choose to incorporate their business as a Sole Proprietorship or Partnership, incorporate their company as a Company Limited by Shares, a Company Limited by Guarantee or a Company Unlimited, or incorporate a Limited Liability Partnership.

Dang Wangi is an area in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, situated north of Dataran Merdeka, bordering Bukit Nanas and Medan Tuanku and located between the Gombak and Klang Rivers. The name is derived from Hang Jebat's wife. A road that cuts across the ward, Dang Wangi Road (Malay: Jalan Dang Wangi), formerly known as Campbell Road, is named after the ward. Running in an east–west orientation, it interchanges into Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman on its western end and Jalan Ampang on its eastern end. The KJ12 Dang Wangi LRT Station, part of the KJ Line, is located on the northeast side of the district.

World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, formerly known as Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC; Malay: Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra), is a convention and exhibition centre at, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The venue is sprawled over 1.70 million square feet with 235,000 square feet of exhibition space. It is Malaysia's historical convention centre and the preferred venue for local and international conventions, concerts, weddings, including small events like seminar, training, and meetings. Construction commenced in 1981 and was completed in 1984. The building was officially opened on 26 September 1985. Before the PWTC, the area was the venue of the first and subsequent annual UMNO General Assemblies. This building is also used for the International Quran Reading Competition every year, since it was moved from Stadium Merdeka in 1985.

Quill City, formerly Vision City and known as Bandar Wawasan in the Malay language, is a partially completed integrated development project located along Jalan Sultan Ismail, close to Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Malay: Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, abbreviated DBKL) is the city council which administers the city of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. This council was established after the city was officially granted city status on 1 February 1972. Their jurisdiction covers an area of 243 square kilometres. The council consists of the mayor plus fifteen members of the city advisory board appointed to serve a one-year term by the Minister of Territories. The current mayor of Kuala Lumpur is Mahadi Che Ngah, who has been in office since 1 October 2020.
