The Vienna Crime Museum (German: Wiener Kriminalmuseum) is a crime museum in Vienna, Austria.The museum is located in the Seifensiederhaus at 24 Großen Sperlgasse, one of the oldest buildings in Leopoldstadt, the city's second district. It originated as the Imperial and Royal Police Museum (k.k. Polizeimuseums) in 1899, which then became the Crime and Police Museum of the Viennese Federal Police Directorate (Kriminalpolizeilichen Museum der Bundespolizeidirektion Wien) from 1984 to 1991.

The Polnische Schul (Pronunciation: [ˈpɔlnɪʃə] ['ʃuːl], Polish: Synagoga Polska w Wiedniu, English: "Polish synagogue") was a synagogue in Leopoldsgasse, Vienna. It was built by the noted architect Wilhelm Stiassny in 1892. It was built specifically for the Polish Jewish community in the late 19th century. The Polnische Schul was destroyed during the Reichskristallnacht in 1938. Today a modern building stands there with a Tafel. Jews from Galicia, the part of Poland in the Austro-Hungarian Empire after the division of Poland (1795), were known as Polish Jews in Vienna. This was one of their places of worship.

Palais Augarten is a Baroque palace in the district of Leopoldstadt, Vienna, Austria. Constructed in the late seventeenth century by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach on the site of a Jagdschloss and gardens, the palace and gardens were expanded in the nineteenth century under Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. Despite extensive damage suffered during World War II, the palace has been maintained almost in its original appearance, and many of the original furnishings can still be found there. Today, Palais Augarten is the home and rehearsal space of the Vienna Boys' Choir, who also have their own school there. The palace is located in the 130-acre Augarten park, which is the oldest Baroque garden in Vienna.

The Pazmanitentempel, also known as the Synagoge in der Leopoldstadt, Pazmanitengasse 6, was a large synagogue in Vienna's second district Leopoldstadt. It was designed and constructed by the architect Ignaz Reiser and dedicated on 28 September 1913. The building was financed by Adolf Schramek (1845–1915) who signed the contract with the builder in 1910. Originally from Leipnik, Moravia, Schramek became one of Vienna's most successful coal merchants. The Pazmaniten synagogue was, therefore, not built by the Kultusgemeinde but by a temple club (Verein) Am Volkert, or Aeschel Awrachom (Tent of Abraham) of which Schramek was the president. Plans and photographs of the virtual reconstruction of the synagogue are illustrated in the book "The Destroyed Synagogues of Vienna" (2009) by Martens and Peter. The synagogue, once described as the most beautiful in Vienna, was destroyed during the Nazi pogroms of the Reichskristallnacht after the Anschluss of Austria to Nazi Germany in 1938.

The Türkischer Tempel (English: Turkish Temple) was a synagogue in Vienna. It was built specifically for a community of Sephardi Jews, who originally came from Turkey. The synagogue was built in a Turkish, almost Islamic style, with a dome. The building was destroyed during the Reichskristallnacht in 1938.

The Carltheater was a theatre in Vienna. It was in the suburbs in Leopoldstadt at Praterstraße 31 (at that time called Jägerzeile). It was the successor to the Leopoldstädter Theater. After a series of financial difficulties, that theater had been sold in 1838 to the director, Carl Carl, who continued to run it in parallel to his Theater an der Wien until 1845. Two years later, the building was partially demolished and rebuilt following the plans of architects August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll, who would later design the Vienna State Opera. The theatre was opened under the name Carltheater in the same year, 1847. Many Alt-Wiener Volkstheater pieces by Johann Nepomuk Nestroy premiered here; between 1854 and 1860, Nestroy was the director of the theatre. In subsequent years, many well-known Viennese playwrights wrote pieces for the Carltheater and reinforced its reputation as the favoured opera house for Viennese folk-pieces and operettas. After a rapid changeover of directors in the 20th century, the theatre became unprofitable, and was finally closed in 1929. In 1944, the auditorium of the theatre was almost entirely destroyed in a bomb attack. The artistically valuable facade was, however, still remarkably intact after the war. In 1951 it was demolished, with neighbouring building which had not been damaged in the war. Nowadays, the site is host to the "Galaxy"-building. A few years ago there was a plaque in Praterstraße, marking the former location of the theatre, but this is gone too now.

The Theater in der Leopoldstadt (also: Leopoldstädter Theater) was an opera house in the Leopoldstadt district of Vienna, founded in 1781 by Karl von Marinelli, following the Schauspielfreiheit (ending of the court's monopoly on entertainment) by Joseph II in 1776. The 19th-century summer stage called the Thaliatheater was also managed by the Leopoldstadt. In its early years, the theatre staged Singspiele and Possen mit Gesang, notably by the theatre's Kapellmeister Wenzel Müller and his assistant Ferdinand Kauer. The dramatist Ferdinand Raimund worked with the theatre in the 1820s. The theatre was eventually demolished and rebuilt in 1847, under the name of the Carltheater.

Khal Adas Yisroel, usually referred to as the Schiff Shul, was the main Orthodox synagogue in Vienna prior to the Holocaust. The synagogue no longer exists since it was destroyed by the Nazis on Kristallnacht. A building that was adjacent to the Schiffshul and was part of its complex remains. A shul currently exists in this building that is called Bet Hamidrasch Khal Chassidim and is led by Rabbi Avraham Yona Schwartz. The upper level of the building has been functioning as a yeshiva since the 1940s and is headed by Rabbi Michoel Pressburger. It also serves as temporary spiritual refuge to thousands of Jewish refugees from Iran who have transited through Vienna over the past 30 years.There is a memorial plaque at this site that states "This Jewish place of worship was destroyed by the Nazis in the pogrom of November 1938."The Synagogue was located on Grosse Schiffgasse 8 in the second district of Vienna known as Leopoldstadt.

Nestroyplatz is a station on U1 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located at Nestroyplatz Square, in the Leopoldstadt District. It opened in 1979.

The Leopoldstädter Tempel was the largest synagogue of Vienna, in the district (Bezirk) of Leopoldstadt. It was also known as the Israelitische Bethaus in der Wiener Vorstadt Leopoldstadt. It was built in 1858 in a Moorish Revival style by the architect Ludwig Förster. The tripartite facade of the Leopoldstädter, with its tall central section flanked by lower wings on each side, became the model for numerous Moorish Revival synagogues, including the Choral Temple in Bucharest, which has an almost identical main facade, the Zagreb Synagogue, the Spanish Synagogue in Prague, the Tempel Synagogue in Kraków and the Grand Synagogue of Edirne. This temple was destroyed during the Kristallnacht on November 10, 1938. A memorial plaque on the site reads in German (and Hebrew): Hier befand sich der Leopoldstädter Tempel, der im Jahre 1858 nach Plänen von Architekt Leopold Förster im maurischen Stil errichtet und am 10. November 1938 in der sogenannten "Reichskristallnacht" von den nationalsozialistischen Barbaren bis auf die Grundmauern zerstört wurde. translated as: Here stood the Leopoldstädter Temple, built in 1858 in the Moorish style according to the plans of architect Leopold Förster, all but the foundation of which was completely destroyed by National Socialist barbarians on the so-called "Night of Broken Glass" on 10 November 1938.

The Uniqa Tower (owner's spelling: UNIQA Tower) is an office building on the Danube Canal in Leopoldstadt, the 2nd district of Vienna. The building received the European Union Green Building label. It is the first building in Austria and one of the first buildings in Europe to bear the label.

Schwedenplatz is a station on U1 and U4 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located at the Schwedenplatz square in the Innere Stadt District. It opened in 1979. It used to be known as Stadtbahn.
