Maritiman

HSwMS Sölve is one of seven Hildur-class monitors built for the Swedish Navy in the mid-1870s. The ship had an uneventful career and was sold in 1919 for conversion into a barge. She became a museum ship in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1992.

HSwMS Småland (J19) is a Swedish Halland-class destroyer. She and HSwMS Halland were the only ones built of their class. Two more ships were ordered but they were never completed. She was decommissioned in 1979, and since 1987 has been a museum ship at Maritiman in Gothenburg, where she is the largest vessel on display.

HSwMS Nordkaparen (Nor), was the fifth boat of the Draken-class submarine of the Swedish Navy.

Lightship No. 29 FLADEN is a former lightvessel which is now a museum ship moored at the Maritiman maritime museum on Göta Älv in Gothenburg, Sweden.Fladen was built in 1929 at Bergsunds Mekaniska Verkstad in Stockholm. She was employed at Hävringe in the Oxelösund archipelago and at Öland reef before receiving her last assignment on the Halland coast between 1966 and 1969. She was replaced in 1969 by an anchored buoy.

SS Marieholm was a private passenger ship that served in the Swedish Navy and was built by Odense Staalskibsværft. She now serves as a restaurant ship since 1984.

The Court of Appeal for Western Sweden (Swedish: Hovrätten för Västra Sverige) is one of the six appellate courts in the Swedish legal system.

The Torstenson Palace is a building on Södra Hamngatan in Gothenburg, also known as Kungshuset ('the King's House') because it was formerly the Swedish king's residence in Gothenburg. It is currently the residence and offices of the landshövding of Västra Götaland County.The building was originally constructed in the years 1648–1650 for Count Lennart Torstenson, but was bought by Karl X Gustav in September 1657 and served as his residence during the 1658 and 1660 sessions of the Riksdag of the Estates (Swedish Parliament), which were held in Gothenburg. It later became the seat of the landshövding of Gothenburg and Bohus County, and has remained the seat of the county administration ever since, and of the wider Västra Götaland County since its creation in 1998. The first landshövding to reside at the palace was Erik Carlsson Sjöblad. The palace is Gothenburg's oldest residential building, and has been recognised as a byggnadsminne (listed building) since 25 January 1935. The building's most famous role in recent years was as the venue for the 2001 meeting of the European Council.

Kronhuset ('the Crown House' in English), formerly known as Giötheborgz Tyghuhs ('Gothenburg's Arsenal'), is a redbrick building in Västra Nordstaden in Gothenburg. It was constructed during the years 1643–1654 in a Dutch style, and is Gothenburg's joint-oldest secular building along with the Torstenson Palace (constructed 1648–1650). The royal architect Simon de la Vallée is believed to have designed the building. The Kronhus was originally used as an arsenal for the city garrison and as a granary to store food reserves so that the city could survive a siege. On December 9, 1927, the ownership of Kronhuset passed from the Swedish state to Gothenburg Municipality. It has been a byggnadsminne, a listed building, since 24 October 1968.

The Göteborg City Race was a temporary motor racing circuit in Gothenburg, Sweden. The circuit was located in the city centre on part of docklands called Frihamnspiren, which was usually used as a concert venue. The spectator capacity for the venue was 30,000. The venue for the race weekends was known as "Eco Drive Arena", with all cars running on environmentally classed fuel.

The Museum of Gothenburg (Swedish: Göteborgs stadsmuseum) is a local history museum located in the city centre of Gothenburg in western Sweden. It is located in the East India House (Swedish: Ostindiska huset), originally built as the Swedish East India Company offices in 1762. The city museum was established in 1861.The City Museum is a cultural history museum. It displays Gothenburg and West Sweden's history, from the Viking Age to the present day. There is a permanent exhibition about the Swedish East India Company.

The Gothenburg opera house (Swedish: Göteborgsoperan) is an opera house at Lilla Bommen in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Artistic Director for opera is Henning Ruhe since 2019, while Katrín Hall leads the ballet and dance company.

Nordstaden is a central district of Gothenburg, Sweden, to the north of Stora Hamnkanalen and a part of Gothenburg's original city area. The district is divided by Östra Hamngatan, previously Östra Hamnkanalen, into Östra Nordstaden and Västra Nordstaden. The district has an area of 42 hectares.The last houses in Östra Nordstaden were torn down in May 1971 to give space for the shopping centre Nordstan.Västra Nordstaden mostly consists of older buildings, such as Kronhuset, the Gothenburg City Hall, the Bourse, the German Church, Ostindiska huset and the former Sjöbefälsskolan. There are a couple of newer buildings, such as the Gothenburg opera house and Traktören which is one of Gothenburg's council buildings. There are also many residential areas in Västra Nordstaden, primarily on Kvarnberget. The Gothenburg tram stop Nordstan is located in the east, between the shopping centre Nordstan and the Gothenburg Central Station.
