Hoffman Park is a 354-acre (1.43 km2) park in Union Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey that is operated by the Hunterdon County Department of Parks and Recreation. The park contains hardwood forests, grasslands and 32 ponds, Manny's Pond being the largest. It contains several paved and gravel trails for walking and biking. Deer hunting is allowed by permit in some sections of the park. The park setting provides a habitat for many birds including bobolinks, eastern meadowlarks, eastern bluebirds, grasshopper sparrows, and Savannah sparrows. The larger ponds contain bass and sunfish. The park is named after the former owners, Albert and Joyce Hoffmann; Hoffman was the son of the founder of the Hoffman Beverage Company of Irvington, New Jersey. The Norfolk Southern Railway's Lehigh Line (formerly the mainline of the Lehigh Valley Railroad), runs next to the park and can be seen from a distance from the park's parking lot.

The Hunterdon County Arboretum, covering 73 acres (30 ha), is an arboretum located at 1020 Route 31 in Lebanon, New Jersey, United States. It is the headquarters of Hunterdon County's park system, and open to the public daily without charge. The arboretum began as a commercial nursery in 1953, growing both native and exotic trees. In 1974 the site was acquired by the Park Department. It now includes six walking trails with a total length of 2 miles (3.2 km).

Allerton (also known as Allerville) is an unincorporated community located within Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The community is centered at Route 31 and Allerton Road, 1.8 miles (2.9 km) west of the Round Valley Reservoir and 3.3 miles (5.3 km) southeast of the Spruce Run Reservoir.By 1846, Allerton had a store, steam saw mill, Baptist church, chair factory, and a few dwellings.

Stanton is an unincorporated community located within Readington Township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community dates back to the 17th century and was settled by the Dutch immigrants. It was originally called Housel's after Johannes Housel, who had a farmstead along Dreahook Road in the mid-18th century. After the death of William Housel (who started a school in the community), the last owner of the Housel farmstead, it then carried the name of Waggoner's Hill after landowner William Waggoner. The community took the descriptive name of Mount Pleasant in the early 20th century and would finally become known as Stanton to distinguish it from another Mount Pleasant. The name "Stanton" was taken from James Logan's Pennsylvania estate: Stenton, which in turn is named for the Scottish village where his father was born. Logan was a proprietor of West Jersey, a mayor of Philadelphia, and a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Logan Way in Readington is named after him, as well as Logan Circle and the Logan neighborhood in Philadelphia and Logan Township in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. In the 1830s, a Reformed Church and a general store were built. The Stanton Reformed Church still stands today while the Stanton General Store has been converted to an Italian restaurant called the Stanton Italian Table.

Rowland's Mills or Rowland Mills is an unincorporated community located on the western edge of Readington Township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. In 1760, a gristmill was erected at this site, followed by a sawmill around the time of the American Revolutionary War. A hamlet grew up around the mill complex in the early 19th century along the road connecting Flemington and Clinton. In 1838, Rynear Rowland (1798-1862), whom the village was later named after, purchased the mills. At its peak the settlement had a store, a blacksmith shop owned by Oliver Hart Ewing and numerous houses. In the later part of the 19th century the community diminished in size and was all but abandoned in the 1920s when the road through it was widened and designated as State Route 30, the predecessor of modern New Jersey Route 31. The Norfolk Southern Railway's Lehigh Line (formerly the mainline of the Lehigh Valley Railroad), runs through the community.

Hamden is an unincorporated community located within Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The community is centered just east of the South Branch Raritan River and is situated 3.0 miles (4.8 km) west of the Round Valley Reservoir and 3.0 miles (4.8 km) south-southeast of the Spruce Run Reservoir.

The Fink-Type Truss Bridge, also known as the Hamden Bridge, carried Hamden Road/River Road over the South Branch Raritan River, the border between Clinton Township and Franklin Township, at Hamden near the Allerton section of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The bridge was built in 1857 by the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Manufacturing Company. It consisted of a single-span through truss 100 feet (30 m) long, 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, and 19 feet (5.8 m) high.The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 24, 1974, for its significance in engineering. At the time of its nomination, it was one of the earliest surviving iron truss bridges in the United States. The Fink truss bridge was patented by Albert Fink in 1854, and the Hunterdon county bridge, built 3 years later, was a nearly perfect example of the patented design. It collapsed as a result of an automobile collision in 1978. The remaining pieces were subsequently relocated to the Hunterdon County Government Center. It was documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1984, which included photos from 1971.

Clinton Township is a township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 13,505, an increase of 27 (+0.2%) from the 2010 census count of 13,478, which in turn reflected an increase of 521 (+4.0%) from the 12,957 counted in the 2000 census.Clinton Township was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 12, 1841, from portions of Lebanon Township, based on the results of a referendum held that same day. Portions of the township have been taken to form Clinton town (April 5, 1865, within the township; became independent in 1895), High Bridge township (March 29, 1871) and Lebanon borough (March 26, 1926). The township was named for Governor of New York DeWitt Clinton.

Lansdown, also known as the Charles Stewart Plantation, is a historic house located on Hamden Road along the South Branch Raritan River in the village of Lansdowne, northeast of Pittstown, in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 2, 1979, for its significance in architecture, military, and politics/government.The oldest part of the house was probably built c. 1763, when the land was deeded to Charles Stewart by his father-in-law, Justice Samuel Johnston. George Washington and his wife often visited this house.

Cushetunk Mountain (formerly Mount Ployden and Pickel's Mountain occasionally Mount Cushetunk or Coshanton) is a ring shaped mountain in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located in Readington and Clinton Township in Hunterdon County. The Lenape Native Americans called the mountain "Cushetunk" meaning "place of hogs" after the wild hogs found there. In the 1960s, the valley at the heart of the mountain was dammed and filled with water to create Round Valley Reservoir. Today, the mountain and its accompanying lake act as a vital water supply to Central New Jersey, while at the same time providing numerous recreational opportunities to the region.

North Hunterdon High School is a four-year regional public high school serving students from seven municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is one of two high schools in the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District. The school serves students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township; the school is located in the Annandale section of Clinton Township. Clinton Town and Glen Gardner residents can select either North Hunterdon or Vorhees High.The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,358 students and 119.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. There were 21 students (1.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 8 (0.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The school's team nickname is the Lions and its mascot's name is Reggie, in recognition of the early days, when the school was known as Regional. In the 1968–69 school year, an actual lion cub was used as a mascot.

The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District is a regional, four-year public high school district, that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from twelve municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Students in the district are from Bethlehem Township, Califon Borough, Clinton Town, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Glen Gardner Borough, Hampton Borough, High Bridge Borough, Lebanon Borough, Lebanon Township, Tewksbury Township and Union Township.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 2,164 students and 195.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts.
