Hamden is an unincorporated community located within Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The community is centered just east of the South Branch Raritan River and is situated 3.0 miles (4.8 km) west of the Round Valley Reservoir and 3.0 miles (4.8 km) south-southeast of the Spruce Run Reservoir.

Lansdown, also known as the Charles Stewart Plantation, is a historic house located on Hamden Road along the South Branch Raritan River in the village of Lansdowne, northeast of Pittstown, in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 2, 1979, for its significance in architecture, military, and politics/government.The oldest part of the house was probably built c. 1763, when the land was deeded to Charles Stewart by his father-in-law, Justice Samuel Johnston. George Washington and his wife often visited this house.

Lansdowne (also spelled Landsdown or Lansdown) is an unincorporated community located within Franklin Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was named after Lansdown, England. Judge Samuel Johnston (1706–1785) owned a large estate here. Charles Stewart (1729–1800) married Mary Oakley Johnston (d. 1771), daughter of the judge, and lived in the mansion built here, Lansdown, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Allerton (also known as Allerville) is an unincorporated community located within Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The community is centered at Route 31 and Allerton Road, 1.8 miles (2.9 km) west of the Round Valley Reservoir and 3.3 miles (5.3 km) southeast of the Spruce Run Reservoir.By 1846, Allerton had a store, steam saw mill, Baptist church, chair factory, and a few dwellings.

The Clinton-Glen Gardner School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from the Town of Clinton and the Borough of Glen Gardner, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Before Glen Gardner, a non-operating district, was consolidated into the district, students from the borough had attended the district's school as part of a sending/receiving relationship. Other students attend the school on a tuition basis. Formerly known as the Town of Clinton School District, the district's board of education voted in November 2009 to revise the name to Clinton-Glen Gardner School District to reflect the merger.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 427 students and 38.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. The Music Hall was a historic theatre located at 23 West Main Street in Clinton, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 7, 1982, for its significance in commerce, education, music, theatre and film. In 1995, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Clinton Historic District.

North Hunterdon High School is a four-year regional public high school serving students from seven municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is one of two high schools in the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District. The school serves students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township; the school is located in the Annandale section of Clinton Township. Clinton Town and Glen Gardner residents can select either North Hunterdon or Vorhees High.The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,358 students and 119.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. There were 21 students (1.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 8 (0.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The school's team nickname is the Lions and its mascot's name is Reggie, in recognition of the early days, when the school was known as Regional. Hunterdon Developmental Center (HDC) is a developmental center located on 102 acres in Union Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, near Clinton. It opened in 1969 and provides a broad spectrum of behavioral, medical and habilitation services to women and men with intellectual and developmental disabilities. HDC also operates a Work Activity Center (WAC). As of March 2017, HDC had a census of 480 residents.The center is for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders complicated by cognitive dysfunction. It is a 650-bed residential facility. Established diagnoses include Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, Trisomy 8 mosaic syndrome, Trisomy 13 syndrome, Williams syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Smith–Magenis syndrome, PKU, Tuberous sclerosis, Neurofibromatosis, Sturge–Weber syndrome, Congenital rubella syndrome, the syndrome of hypoxic/ischemic perinatal brain injury, lead encephalopathy, hydrocephalus, prosencephaly, schizencephaly, and other diagnoses. It was originally the Hunterdon State School and started in 1966.

The Main Street Bridge, once known as the West Main Street Bridge, is a historic pony Pratt truss bridge crossing the South Branch Raritan River in Clinton of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was designed by Francis C. Lowthorp and built in 1870 by William Cowin of Lambertville. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 28, 1995 as part of the Clinton Historic District. It is one of the few early examples of iron Pratt truss bridges remaining in the United States. It was documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1991.

The Old Grandin Library is a historic building located at 12 East Main Street in the town of Clinton in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1974, for its significance in architecture and education. It was built in 1898 as a public library for the town with funds from the estate of Daniel F. Grandin. In 1995, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Clinton Historic District.

The Red Mill is a 4-story grist mill located along the South Branch Raritan River at 56 Main Street in Clinton, New Jersey. It was built c. 1810 as an industrial mill. It has served several roles, including a wool processing plant, a peach basket factory, and a textile mill. Historically known as the David McKinney Mill, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 8, 1974 for its significance in agriculture and commerce. In 1995, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Clinton Historic District. It is now part of the Red Mill Museum Village, an open-air museum previously known as the Clinton Historical Museum.
