Hamden, New Jersey

The Fink-Type Truss Bridge, also known as the Hamden Bridge, carried Hamden Road/River Road over the South Branch Raritan River, the border between Clinton Township and Franklin Township, at Hamden near the Allerton section of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The bridge was built in 1857 by the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Manufacturing Company. It consisted of a single-span through truss 100 feet (30 m) long, 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, and 19 feet (5.8 m) high.The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 24, 1974, for its significance in engineering. At the time of its nomination, it was one of the earliest surviving iron truss bridges in the United States. The Fink truss bridge was patented by Albert Fink in 1854, and the Hunterdon county bridge, built 3 years later, was a nearly perfect example of the patented design. It collapsed as a result of an automobile collision in 1978. The remaining pieces were subsequently relocated to the Hunterdon County Government Center. It was documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1984, which included photos from 1971.

Lansdown, also known as the Charles Stewart Plantation, is a historic house located on Hamden Road along the South Branch Raritan River in the village of Lansdowne, northeast of Pittstown, in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 2, 1979, for its significance in architecture, military, and politics/government.The oldest part of the house was probably built c. 1763, when the land was deeded to Charles Stewart by his father-in-law, Justice Samuel Johnston. George Washington and his wife often visited this house.

Lansdowne (also spelled Landsdown or Lansdown) is an unincorporated community located within Franklin Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was named after Lansdown, England. Judge Samuel Johnston (1706–1785) owned a large estate here. Charles Stewart (1729–1800) married Mary Oakley Johnston (d. 1771), daughter of the judge, and lived in the mansion built here, Lansdown, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Allerton (also known as Allerville) is an unincorporated community located within Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The community is centered at Route 31 and Allerton Road, 1.8 miles (2.9 km) west of the Round Valley Reservoir and 3.3 miles (5.3 km) southeast of the Spruce Run Reservoir.By 1846, Allerton had a store, steam saw mill, Baptist church, chair factory, and a few dwellings.

North Hunterdon High School is a four-year regional public high school serving students from seven municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is one of two high schools in the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District. The Clinton-Glen Gardner School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from the Town of Clinton and the Borough of Glen Gardner, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Before Glen Gardner, a non-operating district, was consolidated into the district, students from the borough had attended the district's school as part of a sending/receiving relationship. Other students attend the school on a tuition basis. The Music Hall was a historic theatre located at 23 West Main Street in Clinton, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 7, 1982, for its significance in commerce, education, music, theatre and film. In 1995, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Clinton Historic District.

Hunterdon Developmental Center (HDC) is a developmental center located on 102 acres in Union Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, near Clinton. It opened in 1969 and provides a broad spectrum of behavioral, medical and habilitation services to women and men with intellectual and developmental disabilities. HDC also operates a Work Activity Center (WAC). As of March 2017, HDC had a census of 480 residents.The center is for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders complicated by cognitive dysfunction. It is a 650-bed residential facility. Established diagnoses include Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, Trisomy 8 mosaic syndrome, Trisomy 13 syndrome, Williams syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Smith–Magenis syndrome, PKU, Tuberous sclerosis, Neurofibromatosis, Sturge–Weber syndrome, Congenital rubella syndrome, the syndrome of hypoxic/ischemic perinatal brain injury, lead encephalopathy, hydrocephalus, prosencephaly, schizencephaly, and other diagnoses. It was originally the Hunterdon State School and started in 1966.

The Main Street Bridge, once known as the West Main Street Bridge, is a historic pony Pratt truss bridge crossing the South Branch Raritan River in Clinton of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was designed by Francis C. Lowthorp and built in 1870 by William Cowin of Lambertville. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 28, 1995 as part of the Clinton Historic District. It is one of the few early examples of iron Pratt truss bridges remaining in the United States. It was documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1991.

The Old Grandin Library is a historic building located at 12 East Main Street in the town of Clinton in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1974, for its significance in architecture and education. It was built in 1898 as a public library for the town with funds from the estate of Daniel F. Grandin. In 1995, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Clinton Historic District.

Dunham's Mill, also known as Parry's Mill, is a historic building located at 7 Lower Center Street in Clinton, New Jersey, United States. The gristmill was in operation from 1837 to 1952. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 15, 1982, for its significance in commerce and industry. In 1995, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Clinton Historic District. It shares the Clinton Dam across the South Branch Raritan River with the David McKinney Mill (now known as the Red Mill) on the other side of the river. Since 1952, it has been home to the Hunterdon Art Museum, described by an art critic as the "most charming and picturesque" museum in the state.
