Phoenix Park tram stop

Babbington Colliery, also known as Cinderhill Colliery, was a coal mine in Cinderhill, Nottinghamshire, England. The mine opened in 1841, and was the first large-scale coal mine in the county. It took its name from its original owner, the Babbington Coal Company, founded in 1839 to work shallow mines near Babbington, a hamlet some 2.5 miles (4.0 km) to the west of the later colliery. Babbington Colliery had a long life, and did not close until 1986.The site is now the location of a business park, and the Phoenix Park tram terminus of the Nottingham Express Transit. It lies within the current boundaries of the City of Nottingham.The colliery was linked to the railway network by the Cinderhill Colliery Railway, part of which is now used by the Phoenix Park branch of the Nottingham Express Transit.

It is located roughly 3.1 miles (5.0 km) from the City Centre, and surrounding areas include Bulwell to the north, Aspley and Broxtowe to the south, Basford to the east and Nuthall to the west. Cinderhill lies within two city wards; the northern part of Cinderhill lies within the Basford ward, which includes the Phoenix Park branch as well as many facilities. The southern part lies within the Aspley ward, which mainly consists of council housing that was constructed in the 1930s, and is widely known by the locals as the Bell's Lane Estate. According to the 2001 Census, the estate had a population of 2,959.

Cinderhill is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) light rail system in the city of Nottingham on the boundary between the suburbs of Basford and Bulwell. It was part of the NET's initial system, and is situated in the middle of the short single line branch between Highbury Vale and Phoenix Park tram stops. The stop comprises a single platform and track, situated in a cutting between two bridges and served by trams running in both directions.With the opening of NET's phase two, Cinderhill is now on NET line 2, which runs from Phoenix Park through the city centre to a terminus in Clifton. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The stop is on the former alignment of the Cinderhill Colliery Railway to the old Babbington Colliery, which is now the site of Phoenix Park.On 31 August 2021, a car hit a footbridge at the stop.

The current Headteacher are Mrs Dakin and Mrs Gregg. The School is part of a family of schools in the Basford area of Nottingham. The academic attainments have been achieved despite pupils' socio-economic circumstances being unfavourable.

It preserves ichnofossils of Varanopus aff. curvidactylus, Swinnertonichnus mapperleyensis, Deuterotetrapous plancus, Chirotherium swinnertoni, Microsauropus acutipes and Erpetopus willistoni dating back to the Middle Triassic (Anisian) period.

William Crane School, Minver Crescent, Aspley, Nottingham, Nottingham NG8 5PN, was a school consisting of infants, juniors and seniors. The school was built in 1930 and was closed in 2003 and subsequently demolished. In its last year the school finished joint bottom of the GCSE league tables.

Aspley is a council estate and a ward of the city of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. It is located within the boundaries of Nottingham City Council. The ward is located 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Nottingham City Centre and is located only 1.6 miles west of Junction 26 of the M1. It lies south of Bulwell, west of Basford and is north of Bilborough. The principal road in the ward is the A610. At the 2001 Census the ward had a population of 15,689, increasing to 17,622 at the 2011 census.For a number of centuries the ward consisted of just a number of small settlements and was home to both Broxtowe and Aspley Hall, the latter home to the Willoughby family for a number of generations. In the early 20th century Nottingham City Council, after a number of purchase orders developed the area into a large housing estate. The ward contains three housing estates which consist of Aspley, Broxtowe (not to be confused with the borough Broxtowe) and Bells Lane estate. Aspley has a number of shops, a local library and transport links (by bus) with Nottingham City Centre and surrounding areas.

The estate is located 3 miles (5 km) from the City Centre and lies west of Aspley and Cinderhill, south of Bulwell, east of Strelley and north of Bilborough. At the 2001 census, the estate had a population of 4,847.

Bulwell station, previously known as Bulwell Market station, is a railway station and tram stop in Bulwell, Nottingham, England. It is located on the Robin Hood Line and the Hucknall branch of the Nottingham Express Transit (NET).

Bulwell is a market town in the City of Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire, England. It is 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Hucknall and 4.5 miles (7 km) to the north-west of Nottingham. The United Kingdom Census 2011 recorded the population of Bulwell at 29,771 which amounted to over 10 per cent of Nottingham city's population. The 2011 census gave a population of 16,157 for the Bulwell ward of Nottingham City Council. There is an adjacent ward, Bulwell Forest, which includes Highbury Vale, Rise Park and the west of Top Valley), its population at the same census being 13,614.
