William Crane School, Minver Crescent, Aspley, Nottingham, Nottingham NG8 5PN, was a school consisting of infants, juniors and seniors. The school was built in 1930 and was closed in 2003 and subsequently demolished. In its last year the school finished joint bottom of the GCSE league tables.

Nottingham Girls' Academy (formerly Manning Comprehensive School) is a girls' secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Aspley area of Nottingham in the English county of Nottinghamshire.Previously a community school administered by Nottingham City Council, Manning Comprehensive School converted to academy status on 1 September 2011 and was renamed Nottingham Girls' Academy. The school is sponsored by the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust, however Nottingham Girls' Academy continues to coordinate with Nottingham City Council for admissions. Nottingham Girls' Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels and further BTECs.

Melbourne Park is a large public space in Aspley, Nottingham, England. The park is approximately 500 by 600 metres (1,600 by 2,000 ft). In addition to public greenspace, the site has a number of football pitches which are used for Sunday league football matches. The park contains a variety of trees, including lombardy poplars around the playing area, a row of black poplars and a variety of large trees around the perimeter.

Cinderhill is an area in the City of Nottingham. It is located roughly 3.1 miles (5.0 km) from the City Centre, and surrounding areas include Bulwell to the north, Aspley and Broxtowe to the south, Basford to the east and Nuthall to the west. Cinderhill lies within two city wards; the northern part of Cinderhill lies within the Basford ward, which includes the Phoenix Park branch as well as many facilities. The southern part lies within the Aspley ward, which mainly consists of council housing that was constructed in the 1930s, and is widely known by the locals as the Bell's Lane Estate. According to the 2001 Census, the estate had a population of 2,959.

The Trinity School in Nottingham, England is a Catholic secondary school and sixth form with academy status for pupils aged 11–18. It is part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy Trust. The School asserts that its main concerns are: 'academic excellence, good discipline and achievement in all the broader aspects of education within a happy and distinctively Catholic atmosphere'. In 2011 90% of students achieved 5 A*-C grades at GCSE level and 90% of students were accepted onto their 'first choice' course at university.

Bluecoat Aspley Academy is a Church of England secondary school and sixth form located in the Aspley area of Nottingham, England, dating back to 1706. In 2007, the school had 1550 students aged six to eighteen, including 250 Sixth form students. Prior to receiving Academy status in January 2012, the school was titled The Nottingham Bluecoat School and Technology College.

Nottingham City Transport serves the area via the 54, 70, 71, 78 and 79 services.

Cinderhill is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) light rail system in the city of Nottingham on the boundary between the suburbs of Basford and Bulwell. It was part of the NET's initial system, and is situated in the middle of the short single line branch between Highbury Vale and Phoenix Park tram stops. The stop comprises a single platform and track, situated in a cutting between two bridges and served by trams running in both directions.With the opening of NET's phase two, Cinderhill is now on NET line 2, which runs from Phoenix Park through the city centre to a terminus in Clifton. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The stop is on the former alignment of the Cinderhill Colliery Railway to the old Babbington Colliery, which is now the site of Phoenix Park.On 31 August 2021, a car hit a footbridge at the stop.
