Bulwell

The Old Town Hall is a former municipal building in Bulwell, a town in Nottinghamshire, in England. The building, which is currently used as a furniture showroom on the ground floor and as a concert hall on the first floor, is locally listed.

The Leen Valley is the wide valley formed by the River Leen within the county of Nottinghamshire. The Leen Valley was once an important centre for hosiery and coal mining industries. Today, although light manufacturing continues, the valley is increasingly becoming part of the commuter belt for Nottingham. Bulwell Forest is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) light rail system in the city of Nottingham in the suburb of Bulwell. It is part of the NET's initial system, and is situated on the long single line section between Bulwell and Hucknall tram stops that runs alongside the Robin Hood railway line. Like all the other intermediate stops on this section, the stop has a passing loop with an island platform situated between the two tracks of the loop.With the opening of NET's phase two, Bulwell Forest is now on NET line 1, which runs from Hucknall through the city centre to Beeston and Chilwell. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The tram stop should not be confused with the former Bulwell Forest railway station, which was situated on the, now closed, Great Northern Railway's Nottingham to Shirebrook line, some 750 metres (2,460 ft) to the south-east of the tram stop. The Robin Hood line that passes alongside the stop was originally the former Midland Railway route from Nottingham to Worksop, but there has never been a railway station at the stop's location.There is a road level crossing just to the south of the tram stop, and pedestrian access to the stop is from this crossing. At the crossing, both tram and railway lines are protected by the automatic barriers. The Springfield Retail Park, containing branches of Morrisons, Matalan, Wickes and Brantano, is adjacent to the tram stop.

Highbury Vale is an area located in the city of Nottingham, and is located in the Bulwell Forest ward (which includes Rise Park and the western area of Top Valley). The area is located roughly 5.4 miles (8.7 km) from the City Centre, and about 1 mile (2 km) from Bulwell. Surrounding areas include Bulwell towards the North, Bestwood to the east, Hempshill Vale to the west and Cinderhill and Basford towards the south. Highbury Vale and Hempshill Vale are classed as a part of Bulwell. At the 2001 census, the area had a population of 4,530.

Cinderhill is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) light rail system in the city of Nottingham on the boundary between the suburbs of Basford and Bulwell. It was part of the NET's initial system, and is situated in the middle of the short single line branch between Highbury Vale and Phoenix Park tram stops. The stop comprises a single platform and track, situated in a cutting between two bridges and served by trams running in both directions.With the opening of NET's phase two, Cinderhill is now on NET line 2, which runs from Phoenix Park through the city centre to a terminus in Clifton. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The stop is on the former alignment of the Cinderhill Colliery Railway to the old Babbington Colliery, which is now the site of Phoenix Park.On 31 August 2021, a car hit a footbridge at the stop.
