Maurick Castle is a castle in Vught, Netherlands. It had many famous owners and visitors.

Vught is a railway station located in Vught, Netherlands. It is situated on the Utrecht–Boxtel railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen, it was opened in 1868.

Vught (Dutch pronunciation: [vʏxt] ) is a municipality and a town in the southern Netherlands, and lies just south of the industrial and administrative centre of 's-Hertogenbosch. Oud Herlaer was a castle on the Dommel just east of Vught. All that remains is a farm which incorporates parts of the old castle. While not that much remains of the castle, there are a lot of recent studies about Oud Herlaer and its owners. The farm is planned to be opened as an art center in 2021. The name Oud Herlaer, (oud means 'old'), signifies that later on Nieuw-Herlaer Castle was built about 1 kilometer upstream.

Heikant is a former hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It was located about 1 km west of Vught. The hamlet is mentioned by the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa. He mentions a windmill and three mansions: Eykenheuvel, Kraaijenstein, and De Braken. On March 18, 1837, a farm burnt down, killing 14 cattle and 3 horses. Heikant should not be confused with any of the other hamlets named Heikant in the Netherlands.

Halder is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Sint-Michielsgestel, between the towns of Sint-Michielsgestel and Vught.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1087 as Herlar, and is a combination of "forest meadow" and "army". It takes its name from the castle. Halder has place name signs. It was home to 312 people in 1840.Nieuw Herlaar Castle is a 19th century monastery, however it contains the 15th century tower of the old castle.

Chalet Royal was a restaurant in Den Bosch in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that held one Michelin star in the periods 1958-1976 and 1998-2011.Chalet Royal was one of the founders of the Alliance Gastronomique Neerlandaise in 1967.Kees van Gaalen founded “Chalet Royal” in 1937 as a hotel-restaurant. He was already owner of restaurant "Royal" in the Visstraat, when he decided to branch out and buy the villa. After a complete renovation of the villa, it opened in 1937 for the public.Head chef in the first star period Harry van Engelen. His successor was Toine Hermsen, who was unable to retain the star.The restaurant was forced to close in 2011, when the owner of the building wanted to make better use of it. Chalet Royal, user of about 350 square metres of the about 1500 square metres big building, did not fit in the new plan. Buying the building was not possible for restaurant owner and head chef Gerrit Greveling.After that, the Chalet Royal building was substantially renovated. The building houses two entrepreneurs: Edwin Kats and Mark Peet Visser. Edwin Kats, who received his first Michelin star in 1995, for restaurant De Swaen, and his second star in 2002, for restaurant La Rive, runs restaurant Noble with a contemporary and international concept. Mark Peet Visser exhibits his art collection in a newly built wing of the building.

It is the capital of the province of North Brabant and its fourth largest by population. The city is south of the Maas river and near the Waal.

The Design Museum Den Bosch (previously: Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch, SM's) is a museum in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. It focuses the applied arts, in particular ceramics and jewellery. It is next door to the Noordbrabants Museum, which shows visual arts such as painting. In 2023, plans to move the museum to a new location outside the centre of Den Bosch were announced.
