Herzogenbusch (German pronunciation: [hɛʁtsoːɡn̩ˈbʊʃ] , Dutch: Kamp Vught) was a Nazi concentration camp located in Vught near the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. The camp was opened in 1943 and held 31,000 prisoners. 749 prisoners died in the camp, and the others were transferred to other camps shortly before Herzogenbusch was liberated by the Allied Forces in 1944. After the war, the camp was used as a prison for Germans and for Dutch collaborators. Today there is a visitors' center which includes exhibitions and a memorial remembering the camp and its victims.

Nieuw Vosseveld is a prison in Vught, Netherlands, part of the Custodial Institutions Agency (Dutch: Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen, DJI) of the Ministry of Justice and Security within the Dutch criminal justice system. Penitentiaire Inrichting Vught (English: Penitentiary Institution Vught) is now the general term used instead of Nieuw Vosseveld. Part of Nieuw Vosseveld is a maximum security prison; it holds some of Europe's most dangerous criminals, including Mohammed Bouyeri and Ridouan Taghi.

Oud Herlaer was a castle on the Dommel just east of Vught. All that remains is a farm which incorporates parts of the old castle. While not that much remains of the castle, there are a lot of recent studies about Oud Herlaer and its owners. The farm is planned to be opened as an art center in 2021. The name Oud Herlaer, (oud means 'old'), signifies that later on Nieuw-Herlaer Castle was built about 1 kilometer upstream.

Chalet Royal was a restaurant in Den Bosch in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that held one Michelin star in the periods 1958-1976 and 1998-2011.Chalet Royal was one of the founders of the Alliance Gastronomique Neerlandaise in 1967.Kees van Gaalen founded “Chalet Royal” in 1937 as a hotel-restaurant. He was already owner of restaurant "Royal" in the Visstraat, when he decided to branch out and buy the villa. After a complete renovation of the villa, it opened in 1937 for the public.Head chef in the first star period Harry van Engelen. His successor was Toine Hermsen, who was unable to retain the star.The restaurant was forced to close in 2011, when the owner of the building wanted to make better use of it. Chalet Royal, user of about 350 square metres of the about 1500 square metres big building, did not fit in the new plan. Buying the building was not possible for restaurant owner and head chef Gerrit Greveling.After that, the Chalet Royal building was substantially renovated. The building houses two entrepreneurs: Edwin Kats and Mark Peet Visser. Edwin Kats, who received his first Michelin star in 1995, for restaurant De Swaen, and his second star in 2002, for restaurant La Rive, runs restaurant Noble with a contemporary and international concept. Mark Peet Visser exhibits his art collection in a newly built wing of the building.

The Jeroen Bosch Hospital Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis or JBZ, is a general hospital in 's-Hertogenbosch. The building at the current location on the Henri Dunantlaan was opened in 2011.

HAS University of Applied Sciences (Dutch: HAS Hogeschool) is an independent university of applied sciences, specialising in food, agriculture, horticulture, nature and environment. It is located in 's-Hertogenbosch, the regional capital of North Brabant and Venlo, Limburg. All bachelor programmes are accredited by the Dutch Flemish Accreditation Organisation. In 2017 there were around 3400 students enrolled at HAS University of Applied Sciences.

It is the capital of the province of North Brabant and its fourth largest by population. The city is south of the Maas river and near the Waal.
