The Richetli Pass (German: Richetlipass) is a high mountain pass in the Glarus Alps in the Swiss canton of Glarus. The pass crosses between the heads of the valleys of the Linth and the Sernf rivers, using the col between the Hausstock and Kärpf mountains, at an elevation of 2,261 m (7,418 ft).The pass is traversed by a trail, which connects the village of Elm, at an elevation of 977 m (3,205 ft) with the village of Linthal, at an elevation of 650 m (2,130 ft). The trail forms part of the Alpine Pass Route, a long-distance hiking trail across Switzerland between Sargans and Montreux.

The Hausstock is a mountain in the Glarus Alps, at an elevation of 3,158 m (10,361 ft) on the border between the cantons of Glarus and Graubünden. It overlooks the valleys of Linth and Sernf rivers in Glarus, and the valley of the Vorderrhein river in Graubünden. The Hausstock was the site of the 1799 withdrawal of the Russian army under General Alexander Suvorov. A well-known destination already in the nineteenth century with British and American climbers, the mountain remains popular with mountain climbers and skiers.

The Ruchi is a mountain in the Glarus Alps, located at an elevation of 3,107 m (10,194 ft) on the border between the Swiss cantons of Glarus and Graubünden. It overlooks the Muttsee (2,446 m or 8,025 ft) on its west side from where a trail leads to the summit. On its south-east side lies a small glacier, the Glatscher da Gavirolas. The Ruchi is connected to the higher summit of the Hausstock on the north-east by a 2 km (1.2 mi) long ridge.The nearest settlements are the villages of Linthal to the north, and Andiast to the south. Administratively, the mountain lies in the municipalities of Glarus Süd and Waltensburg/Vuorz.

The Kärpf (or Chärpf) is a mountain in the Glarus Alps, at an elevation of 2,794 m (9,167 ft). The Kärpf is the highest point of the massif lying north of Richetli Pass (2,261 m or 7,418 ft). This range separates the two main valleys of Glarus: the main Linth valley with the village of Linthal on the west and the Sernftal with the village of Elm on the east.On the north side of the Kärpf is located a small valley, which is occupied by a lake, the Garichtisee. Administratively, the mountain lies in the municipality of Glarus Süd, in the canton of Glarus.

Muttsee is a reservoir in the Canton of Glarus, Switzerland. Its surface area is 42 ha (100 acres). It is used as the upper reservoir in the 1 GW pumped-storage hydroelectricity Linth–Limmern Power Stations. The 2.4 km high altitude permits a 2.2 MW solar farm to supply 3.3 GWh per year, more than average power, even in winter (as the high altitude prevents fog formation, and as the snow reflects the sunlight onto the solar panels). The 6,000 photovoltaic panels were installed on the containment wall of the artificial basin in 2021, covering approximately 10,000 square meters of concrete, and stretching over almost 1 km.

The Nüschenstock is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, located south of Linthal in canton of Glarus. On its eastern side it overlooks the Muttsee.

The Gandstock (2,315 m) is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, located south-east of Schwanden in the canton of Glarus. It lies at the northern end of the range separating the main Linth valley from the Sernftal, north of the Kärpf. On its west side is located the Garichtisee.

The Blistock (also spelled Blistögg) is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, overlooking Elm in the canton of Glarus. It lies on the range between the small valley of the Garichtisee and the Sernftal, north of the Kärpf. It is composed of three summits: the Vorder Blistock (2,405 m), the Mittler Blistock (2,448 m) and the Hinter Blistock (2,446 m).

The Standseilbahn Linth-Limmern is a funicular railway at the Linth-Limmern pumped storage plant in the Canton of Glarus in Switzerland. Built in 2013 for a transport capacity of 215 tonnes (237 tons), the funicular moved the four transformers of the hydroelectric plant from Tierfehd at an elevation of 816 m (2,677 ft) to the machinery cavern of the Limmern plant at 1,697 m (5,568 ft). This made it the highest-capacity funicular. The 3,778-metre-long (12,395 ft) line, passing through a tunnel, has an elevation difference of 882 m (2,894 ft) and an incline of 24 per cent. The single track has a passing loop for the descending car. Since the completion of the plant's expansion, the funicular is used by the staff of and visitors to the hydroelectric plant. It is owned by Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG (KLL), a joint venture of Axpo (85%) and the Canton of Glarus (15%).The lower station is accessed through a short tunnel from Tierfehd, near the aerial cableways to Kalktrittli and Baumgartenalp: 46.878421°N 8.98714°E / 46.878421; 8.98714 (Standseilbahn Linth-Limmern (lower station)).The upper station is in the machinery cavern near the dam of Limmernsee; 46.848783°N 9.010871°E / 46.848783; 9.010871 (Standseilbahn Linth-Limmern (upper station)). In proximity, another underground funicular leads from Kavernenzentrale Muttsee at 1870 m to Muttenkopf at 2393 m, near Muttsee.The funicular was built by Garaventa. A tunnel boring machine (TBM) with a diameter of 8 metres (26 ft) was used to excavate the tunnel.

Diesbach-Betschwanden railway station is a railway station in the municipality of Glarus Süd in the Swiss canton of Glarus. It takes its name from the nearby villages of Diesbach and Betschwanden. The station is situated on the Weesen to Linthal railway line, and served by the hourly Zürich S-Bahn service S25 between Zurich and Linthal.
